The fifth avenue in brown burnished calf was my first AE shoe. I spent years loving the look but hating how the shoe fit. Non-AE store insisted the size was right but I was misearble. Finally broke down and bought a new pair in a wider width. This new pair is now a staple of my business shoe collection and is very comfortable. The variance between the Brannock sizing and what works on this last is quite high and I would recommend that store staff are trained to adjust accordingly. Overall, high quality, comfortable (once the sizing is right), polishes beautifully and a timeless style.

I have several pairs of these and I find them comfortable all day long - I wear them at work and when going out. Highly recommended! I have what the shoe industry calls a 'high volume' foot and the six eyelet design combined with the 5-last fits my foot well.

bought one pair whose sole started to come apart, but the second didnt have the same problem. also, the first pair wore in such a way that the crease hurt my toe, but for some reason the second pair didnt do that. i recommend putting shoe cream/moisturizer on the shoe before wearing it for the first time and also not bending the shoe too much at first and slowly wearing it in.

Just recently purchased my first pair of Allen Edmonds. I chose to go with the Fifth Avenue shoe in walnut, and I am so happy that I did. I've never had a shoes as stylish, comfortable and durable before. Definitely my best shoe purchase by far!

I bought my pair of Fifth Avenue shoes during the summer of 2012. I don't know why I waited so long to purchase these. These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have ever wore. The are very well designed in every detail. Thanks Allen Edmond for such a well made shoe. Tom

I bought these shoes after falling in love with some AE's in a department store. They are comfortable when I'm on my feet most of the day and fit well. They also look fantastic. The quality of the leather matches or exceeds designer shoes that are much more expensive.

Delighted with this shoe. Have two pairs and wear them both almost exclusively.

I love AE Oxford shoes. This is my third pair and, like the other two, I'm sure will last well over ten years. Walnut is very light. AE should make Bourbon available in more styles.

Purchased a pair of these a few years ago. Still in great shape. Very comfortable. The cork sole really conforms to the feet. Sizes are little off, but had mine sized at the store and I've been very happy with them. American made. American quality.

One of the best shoes I have ever purchased. I've had these shoes for about five months. The style is classic and timeless. I purchased the brown, which has a deep, rich color. Very happy with my purchase. I sized down to a 9D from a 9.5D normally and I have a slightly narrow foot (generally not enough to go to a narrow). Sometimes it seems like a shoe that is slightly too wide / long will break-in funny with some creasing. No such problem here, the shoe has broken-in flawlessly. I also have the McAllister in 9D - also a 5-65 last - so that seems to be the perfect last for my foot. Compared to my Sanford's in 9.5 D (which I believe is the 7-97 last), these fit snugger (better for me) and definitely broke in better (for me).

This was my first pair of AE shoes. I love the way they look! The detailing setting it apart from the park avenue does, in my opinion, make the shoe look really sharp! They were a little tight at first, but formed to my feet after a few days of wearing. I will absolutely get more AE shoes in the future!

After reading the reviews on Allen Edmonds shoes, I invested (yes you can call that investing because these shoes will last!) in a pair of Fifth Avenue in black and they are awesome. The quality and the design is really worth the price. Next time I'm in the US I'm definitely going to pick up some Strands in Walnut.

A good pair of shoes is an important part of anyone's attire and thus necessary ingredient to any one's confidence and thus will reflect in their work life. I am glad that I chose the right shoes after a long search. Allen Edmond not only make me more confident and be more classy but also is a vital part of my comfort in my every stepping zone. This shoe has become one of my favorites. They were a little stiffer than I'm used to with Allen Edmonds but the broke in nicely.

I bought the Fifth Avenue in walnut and couldn't be happier. It's a classic look that offsets a navy or grey suit very well. Tons of compliments at work. You can't go wrong with the look and they're incredibly comfortable for a leather-soled dress shoe. Folks at the store were very helpful.

I have 2 pairs of these shoes, one in black and one in brown. They are my work mainstays - classic style that is at home in any business environment. Neither too formal nor too casual. The shoes are very comfortable, very durable, look great, and last for many years. Really it's tough to find something better.

This was my first pair of Allen Edmonds so I don't have a lot to compare them to, but I am very happy with my selection and plan on buying a black pair soon. I normally wear a 15-D and ended up being fitted for a 14-D in this shoe. Initially the fit was pretty tight and a little uncomfortable, but after a week or so they molded to my feet and now they are very comfortable and very sharp looking. I compliment them with some leather conditioner and routine polish to keep them looking just as sharp as they did out of the box.

I think the Fifth Avenue is a great way to add a little -- but not too much -- flair to a formal black oxford. I am very happy with mine. Like the Park Avenue, the to cap is a tad shorter than on some other shoes, so be sure to look at this first to be sure you like the length. I personally do.

I had foot surgery six weeks ago and after I was finished wearing my "boot" my podiatrist took a look at my shoes and she was d was very complimentary of my Allen Edmonds shoes. She said they appear to provide great support and they were very stable and well constructed. She praised me for my choice. I couldn't agree more. I love them and they are worth the premium if you value your feet!

I have been wearing AE shoes for abour a dozen years now. My latest additions are the black and brown Fifth Avenue shoes. The fit, looks and comfort are truly wonderful. I'm amazed that the shoes fit like a glove and are comfortable like one. Last year I had back surgery so shoe comfort is very important. These Ae's are the best fitting shoes I have ever worn. Keep it up AE.

I am a big fan of AE and have had this shoe for 3 years. I just had the shoes refurbished and they look like new. The craftsmen at Allen Edmonds did an excellent job. With refurbishment, I had a pair of AE wingtips last a decade. Allen Edmonds products are of the highest quality and durability. Why would you waste money on anything else!

I own several AE shoes including 2 pairs of the 5th Ave. They are perfect style for both suits and jeans (casual, business days). I find the style to be a good blend of class and relaxed. I'd recommend them to anyone needing a shoe for both office and semi-casual environments.
