Pretty shocked at these jeans as I had recently gotten 527s that were thinner material and shiny with a '70s era type of look to them. Why the difference? I suggest you take note: different washes (style of material) have different levels of cotton in them! The 'overhaul' wash I'm reviewing has 100% cotton and it is just like buying a pair of Levis from the '60s...in other words, amazing. However, look and read what percent cotton, and what percent 'elasticized' fabric the wash you are getting has in it. I highly recommend not getting any of the washes/styles that have less than 100% cotton. Unfortunately, most of the washes/styles have 1-2% elastane (I believe that's what they call it, I might be wrong) in it. Whatever the name, it is an elastic that turns your Levis into something out of the leisure suit '70s...stretchier, thinner, with a faux jean look. Funny, or sad, at the price these cost it's absurd they don't make them all out of 100% cotton. But from what I've seen and read of the different washes, only a few are fully cotton. Maybe you can't tell exactly what's wrong with the way they look, but what I've pointed out is what is wrong with them. Oh...and yes, they will wear out faster. In closing, I highly recommend these 'overhaul' wash/style 527s...but not any of the 527s that have anything less than 100% cotton in them.

My husband never buys clothes for himself & has jean collection still from the 80s! I got these on recommendation of a friend and my husband LOvES them and looks 10 years younger wearing them. Classy and very nice cut.

These are great jeans for my husband who owns his own auto repair garage. He is slim (think no butt) and long waisted. He likes this thinner style for the warm spring and summer weather here in north east Ohio. So happy Zappos carries them!

Well, there's not much to say here. They're Levi's 527s. Comfortable, slim cut jeans down to about your calf, where it opens up for...yeah, you guessed it. Boots. I don't wear boots, so these sit a little loose down by my Chucks, but it's all good. 5/5, will buy more (I'll be buying Levi's chinos too, I got a pair of those with this order and hot damn are they great).

I appreciated all the details Zappos offered in their description. It allowed me to get the perfect size. I am very happy with my purchase and will buy from them again.

These are by far the best fitting Levi's I've ever owned. They also seem thicker than any others. I'm 6'0, 190lbs with athletic build and the 33 32 fit perfect.

I absolutely love these jeans. I have worn other brands, Lucky, Diesel, but I always go back to Levi's, and specifically the 527's..I've been wearing bootcut jeans for 20 years at least and I love the way they fit and look...plus I mostly wear Georgia boots. So if you love wearing boots or work in boots, these are the coolest and most flattering cut you can wear. They make them in a variety of denim styles, some light and heavier weight denim...and although the lightweight denim isn't as sturdy, they are a lot more comfortable for just going out for a night.the heavier denim is what I might wear at work and after a few years of aging and fading they have become my favorite pair of jeans. Lucky and Diesel make good products but I can't stand paying $100 bucks or more for a pair of jeans. Levi's will always be the standard.

Perfect fit - tight but not too tight with a slightly flared end for the boot cut. Lots of compliments when I wear these jeans. I have them in Cash, grey, and dark blue. All look great. The pairs that are 100% cotton do not have as much stretch as the others and tend to be a slightly looser fit to account for the more rigid jean.

Awesome jeans. They don't ride to high, which is the problem with the 517s. Below the waist, but not LOW cut. Great fit, bottoms flare out just a bit.

I'm very tall. 6'7". These are by far the best value jeans I have ever found. If you have an athletic build, they will be tight in the thigh - but wear them for a week or so and that shouldn't be a problem. Better than designer jeans at a fraction of the price. I'm a 34"x36".

Great jeans, I've now ordered a total of 4 pairs. With the first pair, my initial concern was they would be too much like bell-bottoms. But I soon realized this wasn't the case. They're great jeans, slim in the leg, no bagginess. Yet the bottom of the leg falls over top of your shoes, rather than bunching up like with other slims fits. If you like boot-cuts but not the bagginess, these are great jeans.

I love ordering products through the Internet but have refrained when it comes to clothing due to fitting concerns and shipping costs. Then I discovered Zappos and they erased both those concerns with free overnight shipping and free return shipping! I love my new Levi's 527 Jeans they fit great. I'm 60 years young and slim in the thighs and rump. I wear 36x34 pants but the 527 rides lower so my 2nd pair is 34x34 and the fit is perfect. My wife is happy. No more baggy butt. Thank you Levi's for all the color options and great fit and thank you Zappos for the great service. I will be back.

I have been buying the Levi 527 for about 9 years now. The 527s are all my boys will wear and like most of the reviews say you never know what you're going to get. I always have to order the jeans because they don't carry the narrower waist in the 34 length in the stores. I ordered the indie blue and the overhaul and was thrilled with what I got. If you are looking for the heavier weight denim for a real county boy, these are the jeans. They are stylish but still sturdy enough for what they put them through. Also they fit the slimmer guy if that's what you need.

Classic 527s. True to size and ultra comfortable. Must have more!

Awesome jeans...lighter weight cotton which is perfect for summer. 527's are my favorite, seems they are improving the color.

I will never buy a pair of jeans without lycra again. These are very comfortable. The pant width at the bottom is wider than expected, but they are boot cut after all.

Honestly, the best fitting jeans ever! Super comfortable and you can wear them with anything. I've worn several other jeans (some more expensive), and I always end up coming back to Levi's.

I bought these for my husband but he says he loves them and wants more.

I am 6' 5" and 190 pounds. Needless to say, I find it difficult to get a good fitting pair of jeans. These jeans are the exception. The 34 x 36 size fits me extremely well and the jeans are very comfortable.

Overall a nice pair of jeans for the price. I like the style as they provide a contemporary color/fit without being too baggy or being skinny jeans. For reference, I'm a 28 year old male with a somewhat athletic build. My one complaint is the waist size does not necessarily correlate to how the jeans fit in the butt/thighs. I wear a 34 waist in most pants, but the 34's were skin tight in the thighs - nothing like showing off a bulge! Fortunately Zappos has an awesome return policy, so I swapped them out for a 36 waist. The 36's fit well around the thighs/butt, but I have to tighten up the belt quite a bit to get the optimum fit around the waist. My fiancee really likes the way these jeans look, despite the fact she has purchased designer jeans for me in the past. Also, these are not soft jeans. They are a little stiff and heavy, but it doesn't bother me.
