Levi's is an iconic brand for a reason. Well made, great value, last a seriously long time. These are also great looking and super comfortable. And the price is amazing.

I am a new-comer to the 517 & so happy that I tried on a pair. I am a 501 guy most of my life & love them passionately. However, I'm also a Boot-Guy but I always figured the slim cut of these jeans would be too much for me. How wrong I was! They fit perfectly over my Ropers, Frye Harness Boots, etc. The fit is great up top, fits AT THE WAIST which is why I can wear them. The below the waist jeans I can barely move in, I won't ever buy a pair. That's why these 517s give you enough room in the rise, then the seat...& you're in. The tightness around the thigh is just perfect & welcoming. The jean begins to very slowly open up a bit from the knee down so that by the time you're at your calf & ankle, they have opened perfectly to accommodate any kind of boot. Without looking like a bell bottom in the least!

Great pair of blue jeans, period. Bought spouse both rigid and rinsed, he loves them both. Closest I could find to the originals we all wore back in the day. The Rigid style is fairly stiff, but spouse likes them without washing and drying first. Both tend to fit him with room in the seat and legs without being relaxed or loose. Best pair of jeans in my opinion, the 517. They don't look flared, but ease over boots with no problem. A great silhouette.

I have searched the web and cannot find Levi men's jeans boot cut in 38 x 28. Does anybody know where I can get this size.

Awesome pair of men's boot cut jeans! I have not yet put them to the full hardcore test yet but I am defiantly liking them a lot! I have been searching for a pair of rugged but also fashionable jean to replace a couple of other boot cut jeans from another vendor that I can no longer get. These fit the bill! I am definitely going to pick another pair or two and put them into the workaday/weekend rotation!

I had never bought 517s before but I had become very disappointed in the changes that Levi Strauss has made to my standbys 501s and 505s. So far, I am very happy with the 517. The denim weight, unlike the 501s which feels like some t-shirts I own (and also fades very badly now), is good and heavy. And unlike the 505s where the depth of the front pockets have been shortened by about 2", these have pockets that actual fit my hands. I hope L-S does not change these to increase shareholder value at the expense of an iconic brand.

I have been looking for the 517's jeans in my size for the longest time, I could not find them and when I did-most stores wanted my first-born for them! Zappos save the day, cheapest price, quality stuff and free shipping. I am now an dedicted Zappos shopper for all my clothing.

I have worn these jeans for over 30 years and have seen the product quality rise and sink several times, but I have continued to wear them because the cut and fit are right for me. Right now the quality cycle is at a high point so I have bought several pairs to last me for a while. The size is understated to allow for shrinkage, but warm wash and cool dry will give minimum shrink, so select sizing accordingly.

A great fit and good replacement for the old shrink to fit 40x40 501's that Levi's does not make anymore. And of course spectacular fast and great service from Zappos.

I just started wearing the Levi's jean's last year they are the best jean's I have ever wore very very nice jean's I will never buy any other. I will all way's wear Levi's.

The cut and fit of Levi's 517 is exactly what I was looking for in a jean- I have worn this style for the last few years and it still fits the way I like.
