Ordered the zipper fly, got the button fly. If they don't come in zip fly, don't sell them as it.

I am not really satisfied with the jeans. I bought two pairs of jeans from this seller. One was Beluga Garment Dye and the other was Timberwolf color. It's been for a long while since I've purchased 501 jeans. Maybe its sizing method has been changed or maybe the origin of the items affected, but it was a size bigger than it used to be. especially around seating areas. It was made in KOREA, and Beluga one was thin like made for summer time and Timberwolf one was thick as usual. If you are wondering about the size and thickness, I recommend think one more time. They don't feel like old 501's to me. While they're ok at the waist and hips, they're much too baggy from the knees down. They're like clown pants. 501 straight leg jeans must have had a smaller leg opening in the past.

Great fit. Was looking for a light washed jean but not too light. These were exactly what I was looking to purchase.

I love the look and fit of these 501s, and the workmanship is excellent. But the quality of materials keeps me from giving them 5 stars...they do not wear well, and always tear at the upper rear pockets. These would be perfect with a higher weight denim, and a better quality leather patch ( always rips off ). So if you're looking for work jeans...pass these by. But for posing...these are awesome ;)

Best place to buy from Have worn 501's for over 50years. Went to department store and told they did not carry 501s any more. Went to my truck pulled up Zappos paid $20.00 less than stores and free shipping over night. You can't loose. Can be shipped back free if wrong.

Been a while since I have worn 501's, but so glad I gave them another try. Fit like I always remember them and I love the button fly!

Zappos makes an effort to make L29 available and this is truly appreciated. Levi's is not true to its size, though, and my L29 is actually more of a L30 or a L31.

Can't go wrong with the original. Always a perfect fit.

These are good old Levi's how can they be anything but what they are great

I ordered 31-34; the stapled-on size tag said 31-34 but both sewn-on tags say 32-34 and they measure 32-34!

Great pants! Much tighter than the Gap 1969 for an equivalent size (I'm a 29x32 with Gap, and settled on a 30x32 for these). They're comfortable and look classy.

I've been wearing Levi's 501s for 60 years. I've tried other jeans along the way but always come back to my old favorites. I'd give these five stars except the past couple of years the hem is smaller and makes the bottoms curl up. I've complained but I guess they make enough money on the extra material to make it worth it. And, Zappos gets at least ten stars for their customer service. I order and get it next day. What a great company. Thanks Zappos.

Love these jeans !! Iv'e been wearing 501's for 30 yrs. and now the new styles and colors are awesome !!

These are exactly what I wanted. They fit just fine, a little big. I generally wear between 30-31 waist and since I had not tried these on, I ordered the 31 waist, I could have went with the 30 waist, but it's not worth returning over, that's what belts are for.

I travel for work and a good deal of the time the job will run over by weeks. So I'm stuck outside of New York on my birthday and decide to treat myself to a weekend in the city, but all I've got to wear are old jeans and steel toed shoes. So I click on my Zappos app one evening and the next day I get back to the motel and there are my new Rockport Wingtips and Levi 501's. So I saw Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden and An American In Paris on Broadway and got a "nice shoes" comment just walking down the street. Thanks Zappos.

I know and understand, I truly do, that it is rather spoiled child of me to insist that my most beloved and favorite jeans of all time remain the same. But that is exactly what I am going to do. I am older than the hills now but I will wear Levi's 501 black button fly jeans until the day they toss me on the pyre-and even then I will be wearing them. Why you ask? These jeans have always fit me perfectly. They are like my super soul uniform. With my favorite black jeans on I can conquer worlds, visit exotic locations, and befriend the masses. I can work backstage, walk dogs, and write novels. Over the years I have tried many other brands and many other styles-finally I faced facts, donated all of my other pants and only wear Levi's 501 black button fly jeans. When I am bucks up-I order a new pair. When I am playing the struggling, poor artist-I wear each pair until they are grey with time and more patches than jeans. Trauma #1: Levi's went from five to four buttons! They told me it was because of customer preference. Wrong. It was a money saving move on their part. I got over myself and kept wearing them. And until my last order with the mercury of all shipping companies - Zappos - I was still pretty OK - even though they would never again "be the same." I anxiously awaited my big splurge - the only money I can spend until August: 2 pair of my favorite jeans! They came overnight, or maybe even quicker. Ahhh! Such glorious new. Black. Levi's. But heartbreak was to be mine once again when I put the damn imposters on and realized that they were cut a full inch bigger. Did the world come to a screeching halt? Did life as we know it cease to be? No. But to someone who has faithfully worn 30/30 black 501 Levi's five button fly jeans for close to 40 years - this is nothing less than a travesty. Levi's told me that, once again, customer preference demanded the "fuller cut." You already know what I have to say to that. And to those of you who are prepared to yell at me about this? Yes, I know I could order 29/30 but it is not the same. Zappos, however, remained the solid customer support helpline they always promise to be. They even sent me 2 new pairs to try. Believe you me, I am no Pollyanna-and I truly do not romanticize the good old days-Levi's 501 button fly jeans were perfect and I simply wish they could have stayed that way. Yes, for always.
