Of all the 501s I've purchased, the Black pair is the hands-down greatest pair of jeans I've ever owned. Am seriously considering building a statue in their honor at the center of my neighborhood, and getting a mayoral proclamation so we can celebrate them every year.

Man, my only complaint about the "Clean Ridge" style are I've purchased multiple pair and they don't all fit the same. I can still wear 'em, but some are slightly more snug than the others. (And no, I haven't done anything differently to them than the ones that fit perfectly.) Otherwise, they're the best pair of jeans I've owned in YEARS.

I have a feeling these are either knock offs or seconds. These are nowhere near the same fit as my other 501s.

They were perfect until I washed them once and now they are skin tight.

I've been wearing Levis 501s for most of my life. Over the years there have been changes, especially in how they are now cut. (slimmer, lower waist, etc.). They're still the only jeans I wear. I've found that, maybe because they're made in different factories and countries, each pair fits differently. So this is a review of my shopping experience with Zappos. I had to try 3 different pairs (all the same size) before I got one that fit well. Through two returns and time on the phone with customer service I have to give that service FIVE stars! Friendly and great service! I'll definitely look here first next time I shop!

Just right

I only buy Levi 501's. My size is irregular, so I hat going to the mall, only to find that the store doesn't stock my size. Shopping here could not be easier. If you hesitant, or considering, just take the plunge. You will not be happier, and the service/quality can not be matched.

Fair disclosure, I'm a female who turned to men's 501s because I cannot abide spandex or "whiskering" in my jeans and have basically no other options. These don't fit me perfectly but they're better than any alternative I've found in more than a decade of dedicated searching. The basic item is still what I would call a decent pair of jeans, but be aware that quality, fit, and other characteristics change a whole lot depending on the color. In the same size, the Rinsed color fits me great, but the Medium Stonewash and Light Stonewash are way tighter in the thighs and have a lot of extra room in the lower belly. The Black and Optic White are nice high-quality twill, but the Dark Charcoal/Garment Wash pair I just received are made of super thin and flimsy fabric and looked saggy the second I put them on, so I'm returning them. Also, it seems like more and more of the "colors" are actually cotton-synthetic blends...almost as if Levi's is phasing out the high-quality cotton product they used to be known for. I wish these blended versions would be listed separately from the original product. It's kind of a pain to wade through them looking for the original.

Unfortunately, I had to return them. They were a gift for my father. I had to order a larger size. I reordered them and ordered an extra pair as well. Now, my father will have a black pair and a dark blue pair. I'm overall pleased. I would highly recommend these jeans

Love the look and the feel of these. They have lasted me a long time going on 6 years now.

Why would u get any other jeans?

Ordered and just received my 501 Down At The Club size 32x29. As always, Zappos delivered!!! The actual color of the jeans is better than the photos used on the site, but I did some outside research regarding the color shade before ordering, I’m glad I did and oredered as it looks really good and better in actuality. Fit is as expectedbut I think it does vary sometimes depending on the style and the denim used. Thanks Zappos!!!

true size really like it

The classic, the best, masculine

tried 514, 505, brand x's. I'm back in 501's now. They could use a wee bit more stretch...like the 514's, or maybe i just get that much more motivated to stay skinny :-)

Bought as a gift, fits perfectly. Chose the Sey Stretch color but didn't notice the vertical "dirt" stripes when purchasing, and recipient thought there was a defect. He's keeping them but we were both surprised by the wash. Not sure why anyone would want jeans that look like they're dirty, but maybe it will fade with wear and not look quite so unwashed. Other than that, they're exactly as expected.

Order Number: 111-6188281-1710635 After opening the order was surprised by the awful quality of the goods. on jeans one main button was missing, the leather label was cut to a smaller size and thus sewn, there were no factory labels on the product. I repeatedly make orders in different shops, but I have never seen such terrible facts. photos are attached. I do not understand how such a well-known store can sell defective goods.

these were not the inseam size ordered, or noted on the tag. they are definitely way too long. my fault for not sending back sooner. poor sizing.

The best Levi's quality. Fits good as usual. I'll recommend it.
