Ah, ,The Classic 501 Jeans,,,,,Nothing better. Reliable fit, sturdy, fashionable. Been wearing this style since teenager.

Good classic quality jeans. Some say the quality isn’t the same but I have no complaints. The 501’s come in different denim weights, stretch or non-stretch. I think if you stick with 100% cotton and the heavier weight, the quality is much better than many other jeans. They’re the only jeans I can wear that don’t require a belt by the end of the day because they’ve stretched two sizes up. I think they’re pretty true to size but gotta say consistency is not one of Levi’s strong points so it may take a couple pairs before you find your perfect fit. The 501 is a true timeless jean, can’t go wrong, one of my favorites. Order these from Zappos and you won’t be disappointed!!

Hubby has worn the same size 501's for over 25 years. Only jeans he'll wear. His regular jeans were getting a little tight in the waist. The next size up would fall off him. I got him the 501's in a stretch and it's perfect answer to the problem. Same great fit and style with just enough give in the waist for him.

Good, but not great. I have worn Levis since high school, and they have been great, until this year. I bought two pairs, and they were labeled about two sizes too small. Since the size I wear was not available, I got a refund. Fortunately, I found the correct size on Zappos, and they fit perfectly. However, despite fitting perfectly, the quality does not seem to be as good as normal, because the material is much thinner than all of the other pairs I have purchased over the last 50 years. Perhaps this is because Levis are now made all over the world. To steal a line from the movie, "My Cousin Vinny", "do the laws of physics cease to exist" in some parts of the world where Levis factories exist? :-)

Okay, the product is perfect - 501s are all I have worn for many years. I have bought from another online retailer (Starts with an A, rhymes with gramazon) and have received what I am fairly certain were fake Levis. They didn't feel or wear like the genuine article. These are perfect. And the only thing better than the price and product was the customer service I received - had a pricing issue and opted to text - it was GREAT! Not sure who the CS person was, but (s)he took care of my issue immediately and carried on a great conversation. Zappos is the greatest!

Hubby loves 'em. Hubby lives in 'em. 'nuf said.

My 501 Rinse pair came way too small to wear. I've got several other 501 30x34 in my drawer and have been wearing the same size for many years. Not sure what happened with these.

I ordered these for my husband. He has always worn The Original 501 Levi's shrink to fit. I washed these in hot water,cold rinse. Put the Levi's in the dryer on hot and they came out perfect. The fit was true to size.

Levi's, what else needs be said. Love the color size and fit are true, very comfu.

The jeans are great! I bought them for my best friend but he is dumb so I had to return them.

I've been wearing 501's for over 60 years. When did Levi start adding "a skosch more room in the seat and thigh" to this model? The material is nice and they're well made. However, they fit like clown pants. I'm a 31 X 32 and I can fit two butts in the pair I just received. This pair was made in Mexico. Do different factories work off different patterns? I know it's a crap shoot, but I'll order another pair with the hope they will fit like the "old days". After all, I'm old!! By the way, the last pair I ordered about five months ago fit fine.

Nothing seems as well made as the old days, but Levis come closest. 501 or 505, I wear both. Black color works best for me in most situations, looks a bit more formal than traditional blue denim. Expect the dye to bleed noticeably in the first few washings; my first lesson decades ago to separate my whites. Fairly durable, but wear out in the seat after a year or two of regular wear, and faster with any bicycle riding. When I was a kid the knees always went first. Never shopped clothes online until I discovered Zappos, a necessity these days as size and style inventories have declined in brick and mortar stores. Very convenient.

Was looking to buy a pair of jeans. Its been almost 20 years since I owned a Levi’s. Especially a pair of 501. The jeans are still button fly which I was surprised by. The jeans are comfortable and look as shown. I tested out a few other brands and 501 fit the best. However, I need to wear it for a while as the jeans are quite stiff. Also, the jeans are quite thick and heavy compared to others which can be good and bad. In the end, I am a fan and a happy owner of the jeans.

After wearing these jeans a few times I notice that the otter seam on the right leg is not strait. When I sit down the right otter seam is in the from middle of my shin. I would hope that I would get a replacement pair, but I do not beleave I can send them back now after being washed.

These look great on my husband, though they were slightly long on him. The one thing he did not like was that there is no zipper and they have multiple buttons. He tried several other pairs of jeans, but ultimately these were his favorite fit, so we decided to keep them. I really like the wash too as it can be dressed up or down.

The 501s are great. A tried and true favorite for years. The denim used on these is a bit thicker and seem like they will last a long time. No disappointment here and Zappos shipping speed is amazing.

The image Zappos provided for the Levi's jeans I chose did not match what was shipped to me. I doublechecked the image to confirm that the jeans I wanted were the jeans I selected from the website. I returned it today, we'll see how that goes. Kinda lame that at this point in e-commerce this company can't get either shipping or matching the site image to the order. I need another pair of jeans, but it won't be coming from Zappos. g

First let me say that these 501's arrived lightning fast, and were just as I ordered. Zappo's service is stellar, as usual. However, I don't know what has happened to Levi's, I've been wearing 501's for over 40 years, and these just aren't the same. They've changed, got thinner, stiffer, I don't know how to explain it. I only know that Zappo's was the only place that I could find the "Real feeling 501's" for the last couple of years, so I was disappointed to learn that the thinner, not 501 looking/feeling ones had infiltrated Zappo's stockroom. I guess it's time to try other brands, for the first time since the '70's.

These 501s were extremely tight, especially though the seat/thighs. Almost like a pair of skinny jeans. Got these in a size 36 waist and they fit tighter than a size 34 in the 505 style. Having to return them as they don’t fit whatsoever.

They were a gift for my son. His first time with Levis. I have worn them forever. He absolutely loves the weight of the denim. They fit him perfectly. He asked for one and I got him two. He is very happy. I also wanted y'all to know that Amazon is selling 501s made from a thinner denim. That's how I was led to Zappos for the originals.

These are the real McCoy. 501s are not relaxed. They are a regular fit with ample room for holiday expansion. They wash well, but don’t over dry them as they will tend to slightly shrink. These jeans have a button fly. You either like it or you don’t. I do. M

These are a classic for a reason. Comfortable, classic, look good on everyone. However, I've found the American-made version lasts much longer than the Mexican-made ones. You pay a lot more, but they'll last at least five times as long.
