These shoes are so comfortable once they are broken in. The breaking was longer than I liked but I am glad I stuck with them!

Just bought a pair of size 38 and they are true to size. I love the shoe... except... they are too shiny. I wish they also came in a buff brown leather. And, the first few times I've worn them they cut into the top of my foot just above my toe (and I have very narrow, low-volume feet, but my big toe joint has arthritis, so it's a bit sensitive and that's right where the shoe hits). I think they've stretched out a bit and are just fine now. Super cute! Love them.

I always trust Dansko to treat my "teacher feet" well, and these gorgeous Solitaire's were no exception! I spend 8 hours on concrete/tile and with the APA approved Dansko's I don't have to wear my inserts, and my feet are still smiling at the end of the day, instead of screaming with pain. The strap was a bother the first day, but after alternating with another shoe for the first few days, it isn't bothersome any more.

Love these shoes. Super comfortable, and and just the right size heel. I think they're cuter than the Dansko clogs I have. I have been wearing them both with and without socks and they're comfortable either way.

I've bought a few other styles of Dansko's before. I'm a nurse and really appreciate the comfort and style of the Solitaire. They are comfortable enough to get through a 14 hour day. The toe gets scuffed easily...avoid the curbs! But other than that I love the fit and feel of these timeless shoes!

A lot of people have said this shoe hurts because the vamp is low and tight. The style is just what I was looking for, so I found a way around it. I have wide feet and plantar fasciitis, and Dansko is my go-to brand. Here are my steps: First, I use a Dr. Scholl Open Shoe insole. It is like suede, so the foot doesn't slide forward easily. These are great for so many types of shoes and are removable. I love these. Then I added the Dr. Scholl Ball of Foot cushion. It is small, which is perfect, because I put it in front, basically under my toes. It keeps me from sliding without making the shoe tighter. Then, I put on my thin cotton socks, sprayed the socks with shoe stretch where I wanted the shoe to stretch across the vamp, then wore the shoes. It worked great, and I'm so glad I can wear these shoes all day long now. This is a cheap solution.

The perfect shoe to transition into fall. It's comfy, stylish, and looks great with both pants and skirts. My new go-to shoes!

Like most Danskos, the initial break-in of these shoes is a bit rough, but once they are broken in, they are prefect. I love wearing them to work -- they are cute, comfortable, and go great with skirts. I have gotten so many compliments on them. I wear them waitressing in restaurants, and teaching in the classroom, too!

'Love' these shoes! Feel great, look great. Only negative is the under side of strap is a little scratchy on my bare foot.

Something strange is happening to the Dansko sizing. I'm a true 5.5, medium width. I always sized up with Dansko but the Euro 36 was never perfect but good enough. Now, with the Solitaire and the Sissy sandal, the shoes and sandals fit perfectly which makes me suspect either (1) my feet have gotten bigger in a few months which I don't think is the case because I'm not having this problem with other shoe makers or (2) Dansko is sizing their shoes smaller. Finally, Dansko shoes that fit perfectly on my feet. I love them more than ever and I have been a loyal Dansko customer for years.

I am very pleased with Solitaire for their excellent support. I am a teacher and stand for long periods of time. I have had arthritis and other problems with one foot and these shoes support my foot and back. I do not prefer to walk outside long distances with them due to heel height. I really like that the shoe is lightweight and has a cushioned footbed. I do wish Dansko offered this lightweight style and other lightweight, cushioned footbeds with softer, more flexible leather uppers. Zappos service is superb!

I never thought I'd be in Mary Janes, but then I hadn't tried the Dansko Solitaire yet. Comfy and totally cute! The typically wide bulbous Dansko signature toe doesn't seem as pronounced on these, and they fit my need to wear something more breezy for summer but to keep my toes covered in a conservative business environment. Love them, love Dansko, love Zappos.

These are the first pair of Dansko's that I've ever ordered that do not fit me well. They feel too small in the toe, and I will be returning them. I'm disappointed because they are adorable!

I'm in sales and work trade shows, as well. My customers are auto repair shops, so I am trudging through motor oil, antifreeze and nastiness all day long. These shoes hold up better than any other brand, and they are SO comfortable, even after 10 hours standing on concrete at a trade show. They also look much less "orthopedic" than most of Dansko's line. They also don't smell even though I've worn them for 18 months. Most of my leather shoes have to go after a few months because I have sweaty feet. (I'm not embarrassed! It's true!) I also have a wide toe box, high instep, and tiny heel, so I can only wear mules/clogs or slingbacks. These fit great. Love them.

These are very cute, make my feet look petite and have comfort beyond my expectation! I will now buy another pair of Danskos.

This is a perfect shoe for dressier occasions when you want the comfort of Dansko. I often wear these with dresses and skirts and constantly get compliments. This is a great shoe.

These are the most comfortable shoes to wear to work every day! From the first time I put them on. No breaking them in needed! I highly recommend these Danskos!

I am 5'2" so I am always looking for a way to be a bit taller, and this shoe gives me a lift in style and comfort. I have many pairs of Danskos and this pair seems to be lighter. I love them and the comfort is unbelievable, so they are my go to shoes for comfort and style.

I love the shoe. It's comfortable and cute and as an 18 year old girl I get compliments from other high schoolers which is surprising since clogs seem like such an old lady type shoe. The only thing that is so frustrating is that I bought a pair and the leather sole started coming of revealing all this foam stuff underneath so I exchanged them for another pair. The next pair did the exact same thing. It only does it if you wear them without socks. So if you want to look like a dork with socks and clogs then go for it. If you're going to wear them with your bear feet they will start falling apart.

I love these shoes! Danskos rocks! I have about 7 pairs of Danskos and these have a different more cushion-y footbed and they were very comfy from the get-go and I have received compliments every time I wear them. They are right on in terms of sizing and the width is great! I was hesitant to pay this much for a pair of shoes, but they are well worth it and I know that they will last for a couple of years (at least). Zappos is a great online shoe store and it is wonderful to be able to get the free shipping and returns. I will definitely be back!
