I was very disappointed that I was unable to use the pair of Caribou boots that I had ordered & received late last year. I saw that my left foot had been prevented to begin to squeeze into the left boot, I think because of that boot's tongue being stuck together so securely with glue (?) by nearly a length of two inches, to one side of that inner boot or its lining. I don't recall which one, at this time when I am writing these words, now.

I bought these shoes, because my feet are very cold. Hoped for the Canadian roots of the brand. But for the second winter the rubber part of the shoes cracked! And they no longer hold the heat and worse, they began to leak! I did not expect this from Sorel! Waste of money! It is natural that as with a guarantee it is not clear! Extremely do not recommend these shoes, if you do not want to freeze your legs! I hope my review will help you make the right choice.

I love Sorel, it's my go to winter boot brand but i am really disappointed in these boots. The first few wears were great, they are super comfy and warm. After about 5 wears in heavy snow, they started leaking and my feet freeze in about 10 minutes. These are quite pricy and should last longer.

My mother has a pair of sorel boots that she has had forever and they look brand new. She has worn them day in and day out to split wood and shovel all winter long and they are still in great great condition. I splurged my money hoping for the same quality boot, but these boots don't compare. I have had them for 3 years and have warn them minimally, as I am not very outdoorsy I'm the winter. The heel has worn down and allows water into the boot, the overall construction of the rubber is not durable. The inserts inside the boots are also not very warm especially if you are actually standing in the snow. If you're looking for a boot just to out on, walk to the car, drive to work, and sit all day, these are the boots for you. If you're actually seeking warmth and durability for any outdoor related winter activity, I would highly suggest another boot.

I purchased my sorel Joan of artics the week of January 21,2017 because I needed a good, warm and reliable pair of snowboots. I never buy snow boots and wanted to invest in a good pair! Ordered these to wear on my trip to New Hampshire in all the snow and loved them until the other day back at home in RI, I went to put them on to go outside and the snap broke on the top of the boot. I spent a lot of money on these boots for them to break only using them less then a handful of times. Extremely disappointed and now if I want them fixed I won't have a pair of snowboots. For the money you spend on th we maybe you should go elsewhere.

I purchased these boots believing they would kept me feet warm. But after playing in the snow for about two hours my feet was freezing. I live in North Carolina so you know our weather does not get real low. Very disappointed in these boots.

Purchased boots for wife Xmas gift. Both "pull up" snaps were broken. They were never worn, packed for a ski trip and the defect was discovered when they were unpacked. Not the quality we expected from Sorel.

First off I grew up wearing Sorel boots and they have always kept my feet warm, needless to say I am familiar with Sorel boots amazing quality and warmth. So, I am sad to say I'm not sure what happened with the Joan of arc's, but my toes/feet are freezing when it goes under 20F. These boots are rated for -40F so I'm not sure what happened. Now at 5F my feet are freezing, I don't mean cold, I mean unbearable crying freezing. I'm not sure what's wrong with this style, I'm not sure if it's just this style or the whole Sorel brand now. But, I'm afraid to purchase a pair of Sorel boots for my 4 year old ... what if they do the same to her? Ugh, but for how much these cost it makes the disappointment ever worse.

Within about a month of purchasing these boots, the clasp at the top of both boots that holds the liner in, broke. now every time I take the boots off, the liner pulls out. Disappointing for the price. I thought these would be durable since my dad has the same Sorel boots that he has had for at least 20 years. Mine lasted a month :(

Hate these boots. My toes are never warm in only 35 degree weather. They are hard to walk in, and they don't have any bend in them so not so much fun to drive it. For the price not even worth it.

I waited a year to buy these boots. I was so excited to be home on maternity leave in the winter knowing if I had to run out with the baby, I would have the perfect boot to carry him around safely. I was wrong. I typically wear an 8.5 or a 9 in boots so I bought a 9 and they are just too big. I should have went with the 8.5. The first trip out in the New England snow carrying my baby to the car I skidded on the black ice. I thought for the price these boots should have had enough traction that I would not skid. I was wrong. This is a nice looking boot but it is heavy and clunky and not at all what I was hoping it would be. I wore them a few times to give them a fair shot but that's it. I'll sell these at my next yard sale and continue the hunt for the perfect winter boot.

Hope these are better than the previous three pairs I have had to return every year for the past three years. Boots tend to crack at flex points of foot after wearing for a couple months.

I am a plumber in colorado. They do not keep warm. They cracked the rubber the first winter I had them. Happened to my wife's boots twice. Good fit and comfortable other wise. Great if you live in a place where you don't have to worry about the weather elements or you just want to be stylish with poor quality boots.

Loved these boots! Thought they would be with me for years down the road... referred to them as "My Sorels", as if they were close friends... 14 months later the rubber dry rotted. A common theme I saw in reviews.., with only a 12 month warranty...? :( its just not fair.

I have been wearing Sorel's since I was 13. I wore those first boots from 13-39. I was in the Scouts, and wore them a lot when I was younger. The only reason I retired those boots was because the leather was breaking down a little (only a little). I saw these boots and I had to have them. I got the black on black version. I loved them. They look beautiful. They are warm, comfortable, and dry. In about 1.5 years of light use, the rubber cracked. And by light use, I used them to snow blow my driveway a hand full of times and I took a couple of walks in the park. They cracked so bad I can put my whole finger through the hole. I am so disappointed! Others have said the same thing. I would not buy Sorel's again until they address the issue. I don't except them to last 25 years, but I do except them to last a long time. There is no reason that quality boots shouldn't last a long time.

Buyer beware!!! The rubber is of poor quality and will crack after minimal use. Poor quality and not worth the wet feet later. I use to be a Sorel believer. I can't stand beside or "in" these boots anymore.

I thought for the price I was getting a quality product. I was expecting a warm, durable boot. I was surprised after 1.5 years of very light use(maybe worn 20 times in normal snowy conditions) the rubber began cracking on both boots in the same spot. I will try to exchange them or get them fixed, but I will never buy a pair of sorel boots again. They are pretty warm, but obviously poor quality overall. They are not made to last.

I have had Sorel boots for years. My father-in-law, a retired cop gave me a pair of well worn originals with new liners that lasted me another 15 years in upstate New York. I liked them so much that 3 years ago I bought a pair of Black Caribou to use for dressier occasions. This year with the advent of winter I wore my boots only to discover a leaking boot. I got only two years of moderate use before I need to replace them. Today I checked the warranty and see I am out of luck. 1 year warranty I am like many people here. Disappointed by the drop in quality. I will not be buying Sorels again.

I bought a pair of Caribou boots 3 yrs ago and by the end of the first winter of wearing them, the rubber was cracked on the inner side of both boots. I returned them to the store I purchased them from and received a new pair. Again, by the end of the following winter the rubber was cracked on both boots. My husband has the same boots and the same thing happened to him, though he was able to wear them for 2 winters before the rubber cracked. We purchased these boots thinking they would be high quality and would last for a number of years. Very disappointing and frustrating.

The rubber cracked in both boots, I returned them to sorel for warranty and have not heard back yet despite the tracking info saying that they were delivered a month and a half ago. Sorel customer service will not respond to emails and the phone hold time is epic. only buy these boots if you have a back up pair for the wait time while you have wet feet.
I'd also recommend:
