Contrary to the consensus, I found these boots to run true-to-size. I am a 8 to 8.5 and I ordered an 8, thinking they might be a bit big. However, they were actually a tad snug. One other thing worth mentioning. The snaps that hold the pull straps in place seem to be defective. Two of the four have fallen apart on mine. Thus, the four stars. Otherwise, these boots rock!

These are very warm and perfect for snowy icy weather. A little short, but no more than a half size.

Some say it's runs small, some say it runs large. They're all wrong! It's true to size! If your in between the whole sizes, use common sense, and order up. I am a size 6.5. Many reviews said it was large, so I ordered a 6. Bad move, they are way too snug, my heel hits the back and my toe rubs the front. Definitely no room for a winter sock. I should've ordered the 7. Otherwise, it's a cute boot. Back leather strip is a bit stiff but would probably soften with wear.

These boots are warm! It's nice to find a pair of boots that have all the traditionally functional features of Sorels, but are cute to boot. The only down is the cut in shape of the back of the boot hurts until you break them in or get used to it pushing on your achilles. That said, I've only had them for a month and do not wear them every day, though I grew up in Sorels, and I expect them to only get better with time.

Runs kinda big and wide, but allows for thick socks. They are a little clunky so I wont be wearing them every day but for snowy days they will be perfect.

A good boot. Very stylish and well built. I ordered my size I usually wear and the fit seems fine. My only complaint is that the upper shank of the boot seems stiff and leans you forward as if in a pair of ski-boots. I am hoping that with some breaking in that this issue will be resolved.

I got them today, super cute style, design, etc. but they HURT my ankle, a lot. Been reading reviews, but I'm on the fence. Style is great but hurts my ankle..it rubs funny.

I really liked the look of this boot, but it just felt too bulky for everyday use. It's a little on the heavy side and even though I ordered the correct size, the bottom rubber area was so wide that my foot was able to move all around inside. On the other hand, the inner felt liner was snug and made it difficult to get my foot into the boot. Also the silky laces made it hard to get the boot laced tightly. Overall, I think these would be good boots for someone who doesn't mind a heavy, larger sized boot. They seemed like they would be very warm, but I returned them for something else.

If you are unsure of a size, get a size smaller that you usually wear. I wear a 7 shoe and a 7 1/2 sneaker. The 7 was a little big and the 6 was a little snug. I bought a size 7 and I got a huge blister on the outside of both ankles and on the back of my achilles. I couldn't wear them and now have a size 6. They are very comfortable and have broken in well.

These boots are very cute! I got the tan and red and the colors on the site look very true to what they are. I needed a pair for walking the dog, shoveling snow, etc. They are loose on the heel. I normally wear a 7 or 7.5 and I ordered a 7 based on the other reviews. In the length I probably could have gone for a 6.5 but the toe is tight so I think it would overall be too small so I will stick with the 7. I put a heel support in and put on some thick socks and they fit very good (not great, but certainly wearable.) I will need to break them in, but so far I love them!

Typical Sorels: focus on comfort and warmth, not so much style. Based on other reviews, I ordered one size smaller and they're still pretty wide. If you have trouble getting your foot in, pull out the liner, put the liner on your foot, and put a plastic bag over the liner so it slides in easier. Once they're broken in, this won't be necessary. Good winter boots for people who don't mess around with the cold!

These boots are super cute on so I really wanted them to work for me. However, the toe box is not very tall or wide. The toe box feels a little short too. I wear size 11 and would need to go up 1/2 size for them to fit comfortably and give my toes some wiggle room. I also found that the boot pressed the side of my leg just above my ankle bone and was very uncomfortable. Unfortunately they don't come in size 11 1/2 so I had to return them and go with a different style of Sorel's that had a bigger toe box.

These boots are totally cute, but they are very big and bulky. They make your feet look bigger than they are. These are really good for snow storms and not the boot to run errands in when it's post snow storm. These fit true to size. I am an 8 or 8.5 and ordered an 8 and a 9. The 8 fit perfectly. The 9s are too big.

Used them in major snowstorm blizzard and they did their job. These are my third pair of Sorel winter boots. Good traction on snow not so much on ice. Not as warm as Sorel boots with faux shearling linings and definitely need socks u can get boot burn from chaffing. Does run 1 size big.

These boots run a little snug. I have had other Sorel boots in the past and even tried on other styles before this purchase and had no issue with tightness. For some reason this style runs a little smaller than the others.

These boots are super cute! I get tons of compliments on them. Only downfall is they are so stiff that they tend to rub a bit around the ankles when walking much. They are more of a short distance, destination boot I'm afraid. But, love them.

The other reviews that say these kick forward a bit are right - but I find it keeps me more stable on my feet vs. leaning too far back to fall. I also find that if I don't lace all the way to the top (or keep it a bit looser), I don't notice the forward lean at all. Warm, comfortable. The lining can be a little tough to get back in, but it just took a little time. I wear an 8.5 and ordered a 9, they fit great with a thicker sock or thinner sock.

These boots were super cute, well crafted, and would be ideal for winter trekking. Laces start at mid-ankle, and due to my narrow heel and ankle, my foot slipped around when walking in the house. Unfortunately, these boots weren't made for my foot, so I returned. Would highly recommend for those with med-width foot & ankle.

My foot ranges between a 8.5 and a 9.5. At first I didn't think this book would work as I thought my toes were rubbing. I even requested the larger size. However, I gave it a try and over time it came to fit just right. I did get a blister on the back/upper part of my heel but this has happened with other new footwear. I gave it some time and now it's a non-issue. The boot is warm but not bomb-proof against the cold. When the temps are in the teens and 20's I eventually got cold toes after being outside for over an hour. This boot works overall.

I love the look of this boot and they are very warm. But after wearing them an hour or so the back of the heel starts to really rub, making it painful. I'm hoping after they are broken in more they will feel better.

Very cute boot, but the love affair ends there. This boot runs a tad short and the toe box is not very tall. The sole isn't at all cushioned so while it would be nice to add an insole, there is no room. I ordered the next size up and the boot was way too long with a toe box that was still not that roomy. Also, the suede shaft is thick and stiff. My leg really couldn't flex at the ankle. Again, so sad because the styling is perfect.

In one word: Adorable! However, the adorableness stops when putting on the boot. There is no pull-on tab to help get your foot in. The tabs on each side of the top of the boot snap in place, so they can't be used for pulling. Other reviews have commented on the boot digging in above the Achilles tendon. Yes, but most often you have a thick sock or pant tucked in to prevent this. I'm keeping mine because they are so cute and warm, but have to allow extra time to get them on!

This boot is so sweet! I love the faux fur top, felt liner, and the pink stitching and sole make it very special and unique. Not a boring snow boot. Many other reviews say they run large. I disagree. When I first put them on, I felt like they were a bit short, with my toes bumping the front even with pretty thin wool socks. They are a little wide in the heel though, so I put in an insole that just has the heel/arch (anything else in the toe area would squeeze too tight). This makes them much more comfortable and just walking around the house a bit they feel better in the toe. I think the felt liner needs to adjust to your foot a bit. I don't have snow where I am so I'm saving these for a trip - maybe after I see the performance and long term comfort I'd rate up to 5 on all aspects, but the style can't be beat!

These boots are beautiful... if they arrive in good condition. I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered a size down, but had to return them because they were too small. I reordered in my usual size (10) and received boots that had clearly been damaged. Someone had made intentional, deep scratches into each individual leather lace holder on the right boot. I don't know why Zappos would send me such an obviously damaged product, but I just want to remind everyone to thoroughly check their boots when they arrive and make sure your boots are in a condition worthy of the money! For the first time ever, I found myself sadly disappointed with Zappos. I just sent them back and will have to reorder... again.

Totally cute shoes! I bought these to replace a 20 year old pair of Sorels that spent many a winter in Yosemite until moths attacked the lining. These fit tighter across the top of your foot so maybe order a larger size, but the length was accurate...also the lining is no longer wool, it is poly.
