These are great-looking boots. I have pretty muscular calves, and these are tight around the legs. I could never tuck jeans into them. Leather is a bit shiny, feels high-quality, and they were very comfortable right out of the box.

Best boots ever! So comfortable. They form nicely to your feet and calves after a few wearings. You can walk two miles in these and your feet won't hurt!

I bought a tan pair of born boots. I love them. They are so comfortable; you want to go to bed in them. I like the thicker soles and the lining. They feel soooo good. They are true to size. The only thing was the tan color is harder to keep perfectly clean. The lighter color shows spots. Make sure you use a shoe cream and spray with water repellant spray before you go out in the rain so you don’t get water spots. I’m getting a negro pair, too. I have a different brand boots with thinner soles and they are not so good. You can feel the floor in them and after walking sometime, your feet are tired. I wish I would have found these first. The Born you can walk forever. The lining does not make me sweat, it just feels good on my legs. I hope you’re in business forever.

I have been searching for some time for black city boots (lots of walking) and I am so thrilled with Born's Yvette. Very comfortable footbed and the sole does not slip on slick surfaces. I purchased a 8 1/2 and it seems slightly larger in length but true to width. Boots are trim but not tight on calves. Perfect for skirts and tights ...

I searched and searched for the perfect pair of caramel-colored boots to replace the ones my cats ruined (don't ask). I ordered something like 10 pairs from Zappos, Piperlime and Nordstrom, in all price ranges. These were my favorite. They're comfortable and beautiful and they go with everything. I have skinny calves and they're slightly big, but not with jeans tucked in. I wear these with jeans and skirts. Born has done it again!

Great boots. I have wider calves and these fit great! I do a lot of walking and they have been super comfortable. They are very well made, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Perfect, gorgeous. Leather is very soft. I ordered a half size down, as the footbed is quite long. But very comfortable. Lots of compliments.

I love these boots. I tried about 6-8 different boots in stores and Zappos (love Zappos!) and these are perfect. They are dark enough brown that they look good with black. Perfect heel height (I don't do high heels very well). They are very comfortable! I have fairly thin legs and there's just a slight gap at the top, but better than most others.

I love Born for fit, comfort, and quality. When I knew I needed a new pair of black boots in the classic riding boot syle, I went straight to Born. The Yvette boots are perfect! Sleek, simple, can be dressed up or down, and comfortable all day, indoors and out. Also, I want to comment on Zappos service. Amazingly fast, and easy ordering. These boots are super comfortable. I've been searching for a boot I could wear every day, over leggings and skinny jeans or with a dress or skirt. These fit the bill! They have cushioning inside that makes them feel almost like a snow boot. I have muscular calves and they fit great, with a little room to spare.

Everything about these boots is perfect from the color to the fit. They are my new go to boot. I wear them everywhere now. The lining is warm and makes the boots fit perfectly.

These boots are awesome -- classy and comfortable right out of the box. I teach college, and I like to look stylish without too closely mirroring the style of an early-20-something. I also live in a very cold climate. These boots have an understated style: they look classy and practical all at once. I love that the heel isn’t any higher or pointier than it is; to me, this is part of the “understated” quality of the boots. Also, I LOVE that the boots don’t feature superfluous buckles or anything like that. Upon the advice of other reviewers, I ordered a 1/2 size smaller than usual, and they are perfect (even with heavy socks).

These boots are gorgeous! Just enough shine in the black leather and very supple feel. They are small in the ankle area and I wear and ordered the 6.5, but I think it’s a half size too big. I will return and try a size 6. Also they look long in the foot, I guess it’s just the style, but in case you are weary of people thinking you have big feet, I would think twice. But as always BORN QUALITY all the WAY! Thanks Zappos for quick shipping.

Love these, low heel, can wear all day in comfort. Real nice looking. I wear 7 1/2, they fit true to size with a nice winter sock on. You will not regret getting these and Zappos has the fastest shipping ever.

I love these boots. They were comfortable right away. I've walked all day in them with no problems. They're stylish, and I've gotten lots of compliments. Most importantly, I can tuck both regular and skinny jeans/leggings in them. I can't wear most boots because the calf circumference is too small. Also, I can wear them with or without socks.

Needed to find these boots for a Christmas present. Tried all the major stores, Macy's, Nordstrom's, Trakker, all without success. Checked Zappos' website and found them easily and was alerted that only a few remained in stock. Ordered them and received them in plenty of time to find a spot under the tree. Comfortable right out of the box, my foot is on the narrow side and these boots fit nicely with a pair of socks. I am already shopping for my next pair of Born boots. Style and comfort who could ask for more!

These are the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever owned. Stylish too! Goes great with dressy skirt or a denim skirt. The lining is warm, but doesn\'t make my feet sweat like some of the nylon linings commonly found in boots.

Love the boots. They fit perfectly. I wore them the entire day the first day and my feet were fine. I usually have to wear shoes a few times to break them in. The only criticism is the color. It is not exactly black, but is so close I am okay with it.

Comfortable from day one. By the end of the day, I felt the foot bed change to offer more arch support. I\'ve had more attractive high black boots, but none as comfortable day after day.

I bought these boots for my daughter's birthday, we shopped quite a bit for the right look and I knew that these were going to be just right and they are. She wears them every day so they must be comfortable. What I really want to talk about is the great service I got from Zappos. Every time I order a pair of shoes I get exactly what I want and they arrive the very next day! I have narrow feet with high arches, and these boots fit. I did order a 1/2 size smaller because most boots seem to be sized that way this year. These are perfect boots and I love Zappos!

I absolutely love these boots; they are a great blend of casual and professional. Because they have a glossy sheen and great attention to detail, they look as good with jeans as a skirt suit. I also appreciate that they have flannel lining, which just feels nice. After looking everywhere for a great pair of boots this year, I was glad to stumble upon these. They run true to size and have good toe wiggle room with a pair of light socks. My feet tend to be narrow with a high arch. This really is an upper end shoe from Born.

These boots are beautiful in person. The leather is soft, and beautiful in cognac. Very comfortable pair of boots. Born yet again hasn\'t dissappointed me with comfort. I was pleasantly surprised by the padding and cloth lining in the leg of the boot. Definitely order a half size smaller for a good fit. I have feet on the narrow size and can\'t wear shoes cut wide; these shoes were perfect for my narrow feet. No slipping while wearing thicker socks. I also love that these boots are casual with a low heel, but yet don\'t look clunky. Can dress up or down. They look more expensive than the cost.

Wow! You guys always amaze me! I just ordered these boots yesterday afternoon and they arrived this morning! I assumed it'd take awhile since it's the day before Christmas, but here they are!
