The ULTIMATE must-have boot if you live in inclement weather, where it's impossible to look good during snow/sleet/freezing rain, complicated by road salt, mud, grease/grime/etc. This boot conquers, all the while looking FABULOUS! Web page photo doesn't capture it's edgy, classic looks. Looks RICH in person. And is THE most comfy footwear I've ever owned--right out of the box. I LIVE in mine, wearing 16-18 hours daily, with NO foot fatigue at the end of the day. Heel looks substantial/mid-high, but maintains the foot in a flat stance, rather than "pitched". My feet, legs, & back are supported w/ a natural, comfy stance all day long, and the all-leather construction allows my feet to breathe--Hallelujah! No more sweaty, swelling, stinky feet. Most other reviewers advise these run big. Not me. My regular size (10) fit my wide feet perfect. (Frye advises boots are supposed to allow ample toe wiggle room, & slip in the heel.) Slides on/off my feet effortlessly. Leather is thick & substantial, with a durable finish, water & dirt glide right off - I haven't even so much as wiped mine down with a damp cloth yet, but will do so EASILY if needed. Lug sole gets my feet up and away from direct contact with water & snow & keeps feet dry. This is an instant classic for so many good reasons! Worth every penny & more.

I have had these several weeks. They feel wonderful in the very cold weather we've had. They are true to length, but run a little wide. I wear thick socks, and they're fine. The quality is outstanding. In a world of shoddy goods, these are a wonderful contrast.

Love the boots! Very comfortable, good looking everyday boot. They run a good 1/2 size large.

Really liked the boots, but they were very tight around my calf. I really didn't want to take the chance of them not stretching enough to be comfortable, so sadly back they went.

These boots are awesome; comfortable for walking around in (although they are heavy, so if you wear them all day, expect tired feet). I get lots of compliments and they go with everything. The rugged outsole makes for good traction. I want a pair of black boots, and I am trying a different style than these for some variety. I am on my third attempt at other Fryes; I have not found ones I like as much as these. If the next pair does not work out, I might have to settle and order a second pair of these. They are that good. I am normally a 6 or 6½ and I ordered these in 6 and the fit is perfect with both thick and thin socks.

These boots are absolutely gorgeous! I have wanted them for several years, and finally treated myself to them, and I am thrilled! The leather is beautiful/great quality, and they are so comfortable!

I kept these boots for a couple of months because I just could not decide. I would wear them around my house (on the carpet) and although they are very comfortable, there was an area on my right foot arch area, near the beginning of my heel that would hurt after just a short time wearing these boots. I decided that I would return them and get another pair of the Harness boots! I love all Frye boots, I must say.

I love these boots...comfortable right out of the box. I wear them all the time with skirts. I have several pairs of Frye boots/shoes and have never been disappointed.

Love these boots. But caution: They are stiff at first and very loose (even ordering down a half size) - I got blisters on back of my heel the first two weeks before the leather softened up. Almost considered returning them, but decided to keep wearing them, and so glad that I did. Once I wore thick ankle socks, it lessened. Now they are soft and bendable but still need to wear the thick socks. I wear 9 1/2 and ordered a 9. Had a pair with all leather sole in the 70s and they lasted for many years. I don't recall ever having a problem with the sizing back then. Needed a plain black boot to wear at the train station (that would also complement my work uniform) to keep me warm in the eastern winters. These are beautiful, super warm, stylish, but plain enough to complement my daily uniform requirements as a commuter. I plan to purchase another pair in brown with all leather bottom next. Zappos delivery was unbelievably fast. Thank you! You won't be disappointing with this classic, beautiful, timeless and warm boot (with good traction for the snow).

Phenomenal boots. These are my second pair... the first I have had resoled 5 times and they are still looking great. It was just time to treat myself to a new color and a lug sole. Worth every penny--especially good for narrow feet.

I received these today and they are awesome! They are going to require a little bit of "break in," but I can handle it! They are a little tight on my calves...but, I think they may stretch a bit...if they don't...I will take them to the local leather shop and have them put a small slit in the top of them. I am NOT giving them up!!! I will be ordering a pair in black today. I wear cowboy boots usually, but these are adorable! Zappos is the best! I love their customer service!

These boots are beautiful. Leather is sturdy, perfect for inclement weather, casual and stylish at the same time. I'm a 7 and 1/2 and I ordered a size 8. There is a little extra room but it's perfect if I want to wear thick socks. I have skinny calves and even if the boots are 1/2 size bigger they don't look too roomy on the leg. Happy purchase!

Spent several months in debate before replacing my Born "Plover" with this boot. The craftsmanship is excellent - the shoes are definitely built to last & great looking in person. Sadly, my athletic calves and proportionally small ankles were a fatal combination in the "Campus 14G". Too much ankle room caused slipping and rubbing, and adding a pair of socks to prevent it - only caused very unhappy smooshed toes. Lovely boot, but not for those with small ankles. Zappos customer service is stellar as usual!

I have narrow feet for a man and have problems getting boots that fit. These boots were just perfect. Comfortable, high quality, stylish, with a nice lug sole. They fit great beneath jeans or with skinny jeans tugged in them. I bought the chestnut color and may now get a pair in black. This has been a very pleasing discovery and opens up a considerably larger set of styles that I can wear. As always, Zappos service and convenience has been extraordinaire.

I felt like these fit slightly larger than a usual 8 but not enough for a full half size larger. The sole is excellent quality and doesn't look as bulky in person as it does in the photos.

Love the boots! I'm going to have the opening stretched; they're a bit snug on my calves. Zappos used a different shipping method to allow Alaskans to take advantage of the free shipping offer.

These boots are so well made,sturdy and classy. I am still in the process of breaking in and use thick socks first few wears. Have high hopes of being exceptionally comfortable. Lug outer soles are good in slushy snow, but still slick on ice. Some effort to pull off your foot.

Love them! They do run a little big. I usually wear a 9.5 and wear a 9 in these. The color is great. Love the stable lift these give to my height!

The campus boot is my favorite Frye style. Heel height is just right and it's very comfortable. Good amount of room to tuck in my skinny jeans. Great for a casual polished look, especially if I don't feel like wearing tennis shoes. I buy a half size down in these and they're just right. The lug sole is great and the leather is very rich. Would be great if this style came in more colors. As usual Zappos gets an A+ for fast shipping and customer service.

These boots are awesome. I had to send them back to get a smaller size and the customer service was incredible. They let me keep both pairs of boots until I decided which ones I wanted. The boots are excellent quality and great price.

Got the Campus L, when they first came out in the 70s. They were much less expensive back then. Gave them away after my stroke; didn't think my foot/leg would improve. Doesn't matter; no way would I fit in a 7 again. A little heel slippage in the right, easy to take off with mid-weight socks. My husband wants to strangle me once he saw the price. Went through my shoe boxes - all Zappos. Buy these great USA made boots; well worth the money.

FC14G-I got the darker brown for versatility. They are beautifully made, the lug sole is classically edgy (and practical). Not so deep that lots of shtuff gets caught in them:) These will go with everything. I have big bones; these are snug at the top, but perfect. Easy on, easy off. Great heel height for my bad knee. I am considering black as well. I usually wear 9 1/2 - occasionally 10, due to wide feet - 9 1/2 fits great without on/off issues, and I love thick knee highs. Zappos rules!

I usually wear a 9 but these turned out a bit big, I had to send them back for an 8 1\\\/2. Zappos return policy was wonderful, very good experience. The new boots fit much better. They are my favorite pair and I wear them with everything.

Just ordered these yesterday and they arrived today! Love them! I own the banana leather bottom Campus boots that I got 2 years ago from Zappos and they have become a favorite after working them in. These feel like they will be easier to work in. They're rugged, but in a sexy way! I can't wait to wear them with tights or skinny jeans! They are going to be a favorite over the fall and winter!
