Thank you D&B and Zappos. I needed a multi-purpose bag for work, plane travel and errands. Appropriate with suits or casual clothing. Can still close zipper with 13" MacBook and file folders lengthwise with more room for additional smaller items. (Won't fit the other way.) Comfortable on shoulder. Strap length adjustable. Outside pockets great for keys, wallet, cell phone and MacBook charger. Love it!

This bag is absolutely gorgeous. I purchased this handbag about a month ago. The quality of workmanship is awesome. It pops when worn with many different colors, especially black and white. I am currently on line to order several Sacs in black/black suede and chocolate brown suede. I saw the suede in the Dooney store in Dallas. Lovely. I receive many compliments with this handbag. You will not regret this purchase. Go with the medium. The large is huge. Enjoy your purchase!

Love this bag. I have it in Black and it is awesome. The price for the size of this leather bag is outstanding. I recently went on vacation for a week and I put all of my make up, hair spray, kids toys, husbands stuff in this bag. I am going to get a brown one as well.

I first saw this bag on another lady & had to find out what style it was! It is a great size, fits a netbook, wallet, cosmetic bag, bottle of water and more! The leather is super soft and gets softer the more you carry it. It is very light and comfortable on the shoulder, love the equestrian style shoulder strap! A great timeless style as always from Dooney! This is the only brand of handbags I carry now, never dissatisfied!

I have had my eye on this handbag for weeks! It was time for me to get a quality bag/purse as I have taken to picking up cute things that quickly deteriorate. After seeing it in a local department store I searched the website, scoured the reviews, and even viewed it again in person. Like the other reviewers I was skeptical about the strap, and I was having trouble finding it in Navy (my color of choice). I ended up ordering it in Green/Ivy because it was on sale and couldn’t be happier. The color pops without being gaudy. The leather is sturdy and beautiful and most importantly the pink lining keeps things from getting lost. It is a heavy bag, but hopefully that means it will last more than a season. I’ll be able to easily take it on the train in the mornings as it fits everything easily. And Zappos was wonderful as usual. I ordered it on Wednesday, they upgraded the shipping and the UPS driver pulled up as we were going out on Friday night. So my Valentine’s day gift to myself came early and I already got compliments on it today!!! Great bag and great service from Zappos.

I just have to share my two cents about this bag. I have found my perfect purse! I now have it in 7 colors. The colors are beautiful. The size is perfect. Love the signature pink lining. Love the strap for keys. It is true that the leather softens with use. I adjust the strap to make it as long as it will go and then it hangs perfectly over the shoulder. I carry my anti-bac hand gel in one front pocket and my iPod in the other. It does get rather heavy, but this doesn’t bother me. I cannot recommend this bag enough!

I love, love, love this purse and the shipping was quick (1 day). I was a hesitant about the size and the gray color, but now I love it. The details and the quality of workmanship is excellent. I own a Coach purse and I hate using it because the straps always fall down, but not this one. It looks great, very spacious, feel very luxurious, and priced right.

I love this bag! I had been looking for a LONG time for the perfect handbag. I wanted gray and I wanted a substantial, leather handbag. I even ordered two or three others and ended up returning them because they were sub-par. I generally know exactly what I want and I'm not happy unless I get it. Like other reviewers, I was a bit skeptical of the bag when I first got it, but it has proven to grow on me A LOT. The leather did soften and the zippers became easier to use. I absolutely love this bag now. For the price, I feel like I got a GREAT deal.

Dooney & Bourke Calf Medium Zipper Pocket Sac: Frankly I was never a fan of D&B, although several friends swear by this handbag line. Came across this bag, on sale, in the sunshine yellowish/camel color, loved the boxy style, bought it, love it! Medium size in this handbag offers ample carrying capacity, not too heavy, nice flat shoulder strap, outside pockets are surprisingly spacious & great for the things I need to get to a zillion times a day (i.e., wallet, keys). The tall top curves up from each zipper end, so that it is tallest in the middle, but this excess leather sort of leans/slouches over so that the bag looks a lot more proportional (smaller), but you still have that extra room if you need to carry your lunch, supplies, some small bags/cosmetic purchases, etc. Anyway I've received more compliments on this bag than any I've ever owned. And I really like my high-end handbags! Love this winner.

This is a great everyday bag. It's roomy enough for all the essentials and the two outside pockets are perfect for items that you need to have readily available. As others have said, the zippers are stiff at first, but get better with use. I will definitely be ordering this bag in at least two other colors. Zappos' service was outstanding. The person that took my order was helpful and very patiently answered all my questions. I live in Germany and it was no problem to order with my European credit card and have the bag sent to a friend's home in the U.S. where I spent Thanksgiving. Very few companies allow this. Thanks for the great service Zappos!

Great travel bag... I researched trying to find the perfect handbag for business travel days. This bag is it and more! I debated for hours on getting the large bag and I'm so glad I chose the medium size. It's plenty big for my needs and yet it doesn't overpower my 5'3" frame either. I use a purse organizer and it fits this bag with a bit of room to spare on the sides. I can fit everything I need plus my winter gloves, a bottle of water and a book. I like that the bag can be closed with a zipper so nothing falls out onto the airplane floor. I also like the zippers on the outside pockets for the very same reason. These pockets will fit your travel documents folded in half with room to spare. The bag has one strap so you don't have to struggle with a strap always falling off your shoulder, and the strap is adjustable in two different ways. The black leather is absolutely gorgeous and I am more than pleased with this purchase. I typically wear white gold and was hesitant about the gold tone hardware. I was pleasantly surprised that the hardware is a soft gold color and not brassy or too bright. I agree that when I first opened the box there was a strange smell. With time that disappears however. Also, the bag will "scrunch" and soften to fit comfortably under your arm after you get some weight into it for a few days. I'm certain I'll be buying this bag in more colors in the near future.

This is an absolutely perfect handbag! I love the 2 outside pockets. The size is just perfect. The leather loosens up quickly. Adjustable handle. I love it so much I have it in 8 colors (matching problem). Great job Dooney!

Love this bag! Ordered it in the Bordeaux color and have gotten many compliments on it already. Have several other D & B bags, but this has now become my personal favorite. Beautiful leather and construction. Know this one will last for years.

I read the reviews before selecting the style and size. All the input was great and accurate. The medium is quite large, the leather loosens quickly, the front outside pockets are perfect, the shoulder strap is the perfect length. The palomino color is fairly intense but goes with just about everything I own, the autumn color palette. I'd buy this purse in another color without question.

I didn't think I was going to like this bag, but I ended up loving it! Finally Dooney made a usable bag with outside zipper pockets and a zip-top closure. Everything feels very secure. I put my car keys in one, and items I need to get to easily in the other. The inside zip pocket is large and can hold many small items, and my cell phone does fit in the cell pocket. The leather seems very durable and is already softening up. I got a medium wristlet to match the sage color bag and hooked it to the key clip for things I need to bring up quickly. It's large enough to fit in a lot of things, but doesn't overwhelm my 5'4" petite frame nor is it too heavy. I especially love how comfortably it fits on the shoulder. The sage color goes with a lot, but I'd like to get another one in a neutral color. My only complaints are, I wish they wouldn't make the bottom corners point outwards because the corners will wear quicker, and I wish it had more inside pockets. Other than that, it's a fabulous bag and my favorite Dooney since the all-weather leather. Please make it in some pastel colors for spring, for those of us who don't care for bright colors. And as always, Zappos service was excellent. I had the bag the very next day, less than 24 hours later!

I can not tell you how much I love this bag! I just ordered "Taupe" and I already have 3 other colors of the same bag (black,brown & sage). For me, being 5'7.5"-5'8" this bag is perfectly sized to meet my daily needs & isn't too big. I agree with other Zappies (Donna, from Clarksville, GA) that it is stiff and doesn't seem to slouch and the initial smell of the bag is off, but after a couple days of use its perfect. I couldn't be more please with my bags. Not to mention the service from Zappos is perfect!

My experience with this bag mirrors almost exactly the review from Donna of Gainesville. I saw Palomino on sale and quickly got one. I was extremely disappointed when I opened my package and took my first look at the bag, but decided to give it a try anyway. Boy, was my first impression wrong! I am now so pleased with my bag that I went ahead and got it in another color. I may buy it in a few more! And no, Donna from Gainesville, you are not the only one that thinks that Palomino is a perfect bag for fall! I completely agree!

I had wanted this bag in Palamino for so long, so when it went on sale, I quickly grabbed one up. When my bag arrived I was so disappointed. I hated everything about it except the beautiful color. The height of the bag was insane, the short strap was awkward, the zippers stuck, and the bag smelled horrible. I was heartbroken, but I wanted to love this bag so badly I decided to give it a try. When I loaded my stuff into the bag it immediately looked good, and when I first put it on my shoulder it felt great. It has now been four weeks, and I am in love with it! The leather softened and slouched, making the strap just the right length, the zippers worked themselves out within days and now glide smoothly, and the bad textile/chemical smell dissipated in about two days. The bag is beautiful and so classy looking. I will absolutely buy it in another color, Navy I think. Also, I read every review of this bag I could find on many websites, and every single person who said they bought the Palamino, said they bought it for summer. I bought mine for fall. I think this color is perfect for the season. It is the exact color of a beautiful fall leaf and looks so good with my jewel tone sweaters. I can't believe I am the only person who thinks this. Palamino color just looks like fall to me. Love my bag! You get a lot of bag for your money with this one.

This is a very comfortable, stylish bag. Overall I like it very much. However, the leather is very stiff so it doesn't crush down as much as I would like. The strap is a little bit adjustable, which is good because I lengthened it about an inch. Also this bag had a very strong chemical smell when I opened the package and it took a few days to air out. This is my first Dooney & Bourke so I don't know if this is normal. I expected a nice rich leather smell like my Fossil bags. The outside pockets are very convenient for cell phone and keys.

I do love the bag, great color (calf I think) and it is roomy and not too heavy. I use a little wristlet inside and carry essentials. Two drawbacks: lack of shoulder strap makes long term carrying difficult (with 2 little ones I need my hands free), and the two-part strap tends to catch on things and bend, not comfy. Otherwise, the bag is great!

Most of my handbags are from Dooney. You cannot beat the quality for the price. And, the Calf Medium is the perfect size for the money. It is roomy. The front pockets are great! I purchased the two zipper cosmetic case to put receipts in. The handbag holds up very well. Simply a great style!

Great handbag! I ordered the medium in black and it is plenty large enough. Great size for everyday use as a handbag and also large enough to use as a handbag/tote and hold things like book, water bottle etc. Plan on buying another one, but just can't decide on what color! Too many choices! As always, great Zappos service can't be beat. I give this handbag 5 stars hands down!
