The New Balance MX608V2 provides the same support as is found in the "regular" New Balance 608, but with a look that is less of a gym shoe, and more of a casual dress shoe, with a moc toe appearance. If it's New Balance, you know it will be a good product. It's just a matter of finding the right shoe for the right activity.

I\'m a New Balance man - That\'s the only place I check, but with Zappo\'s, of course!

I purchased the New Balance MX608V2 for my son and he was having trouble with one of his feet when the new shoes arrived. He started wearing the MX609V2 and his problem went away. He is very happy with this shoe and has asked me to order another pair in black.

Still a bit early to tell. Need to be broken in, but I have a significant size and width difference between feet, but so far so good.

I'm very happy with the product and recommend it. zappo's is my no.1 company for buying athletic shoes and they never let me down.

I've owned 3 pair of these shoes and for the money these are the best shoes in NB's current lineup simple, stylish, and comfortable. You certainly won't go wrong with these. Also I love the design of the sole. The unfortunate part of this shoe is the build quality that can be spotty. I've had some that lasted over a year and others with flapping, unglued soles and/or torn tongues within 6 months. Zappos always has top-notch service. They are my first stop when I need shoes. Warning, rant for NB management below. I say the best in NB's current lineup because the defunct 621 (from which this shoe gets a lot of its qualities) had similar good styling but was much better made, had a thicker softer tongue, and a boxed toe. Why, NB, do we need 3 versions of this 608 with negligible differences among them and you chose to discontinue the superior 621? Also would you please stop with the pointy-toed designs already? These shoes are for cross-training, not tap dancing!

Nice shoe, light, comfortable and stable. Well made but inner sole is cheesy. I changed them out will a good gel pad. Great casual or work.

These shoes are comfortable, I buy New Balance because they have wide widths. The only thing this shoe needs is some protection on the toe, to keep it from scuffing. It seems without this the leather may wear out sooner.

Well constructed, but far too little padding in the sole, particularly in the front (ball of foot area). The shoes fit snugly enough, but definitely need insoles.

These shoes are very comfortable. The only thing is the shoelaces are in my view too long.

For people like me with wide feet the only brand is New Balance

Nice shoe, comfortable, good looking. I think the 4x wide, feels only like a regular wide though.

I found these very good, nothing real special though. I found the color was a lot lighter than the image. A coat of sealer darkened them up nicely. They seem well made.

I like these shoes, but was surprised that it took a few days to break them in. My experience in the past has been that New Balance shoes don't need breaking in. After a few days and with some adjustment of the shoe laces, these shoes have become very comfortable.

I've worked out in these shoes a few times now but I think they may take a bit longer to break-in. For the price I paid they are well worth the money. I have a bit of a small, fat, wide foot with somewhat high arches so most athletic shoes take some degree of break-in... some more than others. I think these will be a good, general purpose workout shoe. As with most any athletic shoe I've had, I had to leave the laces rather loose until I get them fully broken in for optimum comfort. They'll be fine otherwise.

Overall, I like this shoe, but I was looking for an everyday walking shoe and this isn't quite as durable as I hoped. I also purchased a Clarks walking shoe on this order, more expensive but also better made... so, the Clarks have become my everyday shoe. That being said, this New Balance model is a very good value at this price.

Well made, attractive, sturdy shoe. But, these felt less cushioned and, therefore, somewhat less comfortable for all-day wear. For training they will be fine.

Very comfortable and fits well. I have an extra wide foot and it is difficult finding the right fit. This is the right fit for myself.

I need a wide shoe and stores just don\'t carry them wide enough. I had to get a men\'s shoe because women\'s shoes aren\'t wide enough either. This shoe fits great where I need the space.

I\'ve bought 608\'s for years. This is the first Version 2 I\'ve tried. The toe is much skinnier.\r\nI\'ve compared them visually with my original 608\'s. My big toe is rubbing. I\'ll send them back and search for something resembling the original 608.

Pretty good shoes overall, nice style, nothing too showy, but not too plain. I found that the size was a bit larger than my normal 10in., and I would recommend buyers to downsize by half size and plus the M width is a little on the wide side for me also. As far as the wear, comfy and nicely padded on the arch, but not great support like some of the others say, my heel tends to slide up and thus my calves are getting worked more than usual as I have to "grip" the shoe if I walk around for long, it's not a 'snug' fit which is not bad if your intent is to wear them as a casual walker shoe to go shopping in, or some light sightseeing, but I don't recommend these for treking out in and going full speed at workouts. Bottom line, these are decent shoes for the budget minded, but just be careful of the size, I would recommend getting 2 sizes and then send back the one that isn't right. Zappos makes this very easy and I highly commend their great customer service!

The shoes are very comfortable, but there could be more arch support. The shoestrings are a little on the long side so I had to trim them.

These shoes are OK. The materials are great and it's put together well. The only complaint are the soles as they feel like blocks of wood. The soles are thick and not shock absorbent enough to reduce the shock running through your knees, hips, and back. Also my heel lifts out of the right shoe no matter how tight I lace up.

I got these to wear on days when my feet are sore from my morning run, but I need something resembling a business casual shoe. They are very comfortable. Seem to be made relatively well. Styling could be better, but to me comfort was the key.

These are clean looking shoes that are comfortable. My only issue is with the tongue of the shoe. If you use the loop on the tongue to hold your laces it is very difficult to open the shoe wide enought to get your foot in and then later out. If you do not use the loop the tongue tends to slide into the shoe when inserting your foot.

I have had numerous New Balance in the past and have had good experience with all. This time I got a salesperson who didn't care about the fit and I wound up with a pair that is too tight in the width! I didn't realize this until I had walked for a while!!

Generally I like New Ballance products. This shoe is a disaster and isn't up to their normal quality. All I can say is I'm not real thrilled with these. First pair had the sole start peeling off within a week. Second pair was way too tight, so it seems like the actual size vaires within same label size shoe.
