These boots have just the right balance of practical wintry weather protection and full-on style. I bought these as I needed a pair of boots that could withstand the drizzle of Seattle all winter long and still look sleek. The bottom sole has a texture like octopus suckers that can sometimes be slippery on brick walkways but has great grip on snow and slush. \r\n These look great with everything: skirts, jeans, dresses. Super cool.

These boots are great! Not only are they city chic, they’re a very practical boot! I’ve worn these boots in the snow, rain, slush… the traction is amazing. They’ve kept my feet warm, dry, and comfy. Definitely a great investment!

Awesome boot!!! Love this boot- finally found it in a size 8! The width is a bit snug on me- but I've got pretty wide feet (due to bunions). Regardless, the boot feels comfortable, looks stylish and there is enough room to tuck in my jeans if I so desire. I really like this boot because it's able to be dressed-up or dressed-down, is waterproof and perfect for walking around a (hilly, icy) city in the winter! Awesome.

I bought these boots for my trip to Eastern Europe during the Christmas break. They were very comfortable during hours of walking on cobblestone and climbing stairs. Now that I am back home in So Cal, I am wearing them a lot through the recent downpours. My feet have stayed nice and dry through it all. Although I did wear them in snow, they were not as warm as my down insulated boots. I bought my normal size and have worn them with thin and thick socks and they still fit fine with no blisters or slippage. These were a very expensive purchase for me, but they have turned out to be a wise investment. They seem like well made boots that will last for years.

Love these boots. They are very comfortable and I think stylish and sporty at the same time. While they seem to fit true to size, I wouldn't be able to wear this with socks on a cold day.

Love these! Waterproof and warm! I've worn them running in and out of school and trekking through salty parking lots. The salt wipes off and my feet are warm and dry. Somehow don't overheat inside and they feel great walking around in as well. I love that in a size 11 they are not clunky!

A co-worker had recommended these boots. It was between these and Keen Winthrop. Because Keen was cheaper, I got those, but did not like the look of it and because I have big calves, it wouldn't zip up all the way. I returned and got these and so glad I did. Not only did it zip up all the way, my wide feet did not need to break it in and my thick socks fit fine. I love the fact that I can wear this in the winter cold/snow and still look good (Keens looked like hiking boots). Rarely do you find nice looking, comfortable boots that are also warm and waterproof. I haven't tested these out during a rain storm, but anxious to see.

These boots are very comfortable, and really cute. I\'m a teacher and on my feet all day, and typically wear only Merrells or Danskos to work. It\'s great to have a comfortable, waterproof boot that is so stylish.

Love these boots! I live in them! I get lots of compliments. I bought them just before traveling to France for a week. I put them on for the first time for the plane trip; they were so comfortable, they needed no breaking in. I walked hours and hours every day on my vacation. These boots were so comfortable all day long! These boots are waterproof, too, so I hope they will be good in the snow. You cannot go wrong with these boots!

These are my all-time favorite boots and shoes ever. If I could wear them year-round, I would. I bought them a couple of years ago and they are just now getting past their wearability point (and I walk a lot!). They served me well during a snow-storm last year, and have been wonderfully versatile for work and play. Highly recommend them and will be buying my second pair soon!

These are great boots, nice quality, comfortable. I found the heel a little strange, as it actually has a height of at least 1.5 inches, but it appears to be built into the shoes itself, so you can\'t tell from the outside. I have yet to test them out in the snow, but they have proven excellent in the rain.

These boots are awesome!!!! I bought a pair two years ago, but walked all the way through the soles and loved them so much, I got the exact same ones. Don\'t let it worry you that I walked through the soles, I was living in NYC at the time and walking to and from work every day, and putting miles on them besides that! The boots are as comfortable as can be, but still have a great tread if it\'s icy or slushy outside. \r\n\r\nJust in case you do put as many miles on them as I did, DON\'T wear them out with holes in them! You will collect water, and the super-cushy soles will stay wet and slosh with every step...yuck.\r\n\r\nMerril does not have a repair department at this time, but they gave me a name and a gift certificate towards having the bottoms re-soled. The first cobbler I took them to couldn\'t do it, and after that I figured I\'d waited too long and should just buy new boots! But the program is there if you need it and don\'t wait as long as I did. \r\n\r\nBuy the boots! You\'ll love them!

Great (nearly) all-purpose boot - I wanted a boot that would look good with skirts or pants, would do well for a lot of walking, and would handle rain and snow. I've worn the boot almost every day since I got it a few weeks ago. The downside is that the rubber sole with extra toe protection is not very dressy; but that's the trade off for an all-weather boot. I'm very happy with this purchase, even though it was more than I'd wanted to spend.
