Winter boots - I love these boots. The fit is perfect. I wear them in the snow and they have kept my feet dry.

The PERFECT BOOT - If you often wear round toe shoes IGNORE the other reviews that tell you to buy a half size larger. I bought these in my size which is 10 and after wearing them for a week they fit LIKE A GLOVE. I searched for the perfect walking all weather stylish boot to wear to the Presidential Inauguration and found this one. It fit my needs to a "T" Since my travels involved a LOT of walking and at least 5 hours of standing, I needed something that would be comfortable and supportive. I have one pair of Merrell sandals and once I saw the brand on these I knew they would be comfortable and worth the price. After wearing these every day for a week and walking at least a mile a day in them they are now my favorite piece of footwear. I have never encountered a more comfortable pair of boots. The leather is top quality and the soles are EXTREMLY slip resistant. I walked in snow & ice & stepped in puddles, my feet stayed warm & dry. A+++++++

Love my shoes! I bought these shoes after seeing them on someone else. They are perfect for dressing up or down. They are really comfortable and I love the look. Zappos even upgraded my shipping from standard to 24 hour free of charge.

Nice boot. As always great customer service from Zappos. I used to wear platforms and heels before I had a baby. Now my foot wear has to be more practical, but I still want style. This boot accomplishes both. Knee high black boots are a staple of my wardrobe. The Merrell Plaza Peak is comfortable, has a low but not quite flat heel, and a stylish, modern look.

Merrell boots... As always Merrell delivers a great shoe with comfort and style. A drop more fitted then sneakers, but still took usual size.

Best shoe ever! This boot fits like a dream, looks like it can go to the ritz, and feels like a sneaker. The only down-side which doesn't matter for everyday life was that it wasn't warm enough for deep snow. Other than that, I love this boot. Merrell is a great company.

Merrell's Plaza Peak are worth the bux - These boots rock! Philadelphia can have all the rain they want; my mood won't be ruined thanks to waterproof boots! The only slight problem I have is that my feet get cold easily, and I still need to add my thermal cushions on very old days. I have checked other comments, and it is true the boots aren't for people with big calves. Zappos, you rock!

LOVELY BOOTS! I ordered the brown suede - rich and luxurious in look and feel. Ordered true to size (6.5)-fit like a glove on the 1st wear.

Perfect rain/snow boot - I wear these boots to work with skirts and pants on rainy or snowing days. I am on my feet all day and they are very comfortable...but DO order a 1/2 size up. They are smaller than other Merrills. They look fashionable enough; simple and stylish...a great look for NYC and thank God not at all like the Uggs all the kids are wearing.

Super boot - These boots are great! They look fantastic with tights and skirts. They are sleek yet warm and stable. They seemed to run just a tad small. I place lift orthotics in almost all my closed shoes and usually wear a nine, but I took a 9.5 in these. The leather is tough yet supple. People always seem to mention their calves in these reviews, so here goes. Mine are average size, maybe small and these boots have enough room without gaping. Overall, these boots are awesome and I wish I could wear them every day.

Great boots - I love these boots. They're the most comfortable ones that I'd ever tried on. The only thing is the toe looks a little like a rainboot, so they're definitely more casual.

Great boot - I looked at these for over a year and waited for them to go on sale on any website (which they never did) but I'm glad I bought them anyway. They are perfect casual, everyday boot. They do look a little like rain boots or wellies- I think because they are a little wide around the ankle. Nonetheless, very comfortable and warm. Haven't been out in the snow with them yet. Wore them in the rain and they worked fine. Look great with jeans tucked in. I have slightly small calves and these actually fit pretty good, so maybe they wouldn't be good if you had large calves.

Great overall boot - This boot is very comfortable right from the start. The only problem I had is, I have big calves and they were a bit snug. But they are very warm even without socks.

As great as I had hoped for - I've never bothered to write a review for anything until now! I love these boots. They are INCREDIBLY comfortable and look great. I'm a very average size 8 with average size calves and they fit great. They are looser around the ankles, but it doesn't bother me and it doesn't look strange. Spending this much for these seemed a bit too much at the time, but I'm really glad I got them and can tell I'll be living in them all winter.

Great Boot - This boot has everything I was looking for in a boot: comfort, support, and they look great! I wanted a tough and comfortable boot for the cold winter weather without having to sacrifice my love of a chic feminine boot...I get it all with this boot!

Cute, functional, and comfy! I LOVE these boots. They are super comfortable and look cute while serving as a more stylish alternative to wellies or big snow boots. While they aren't quite refined enough to wear at my conservative office, they are perfect for getting to and from work on rainy days.

LOVE these boots! I was looking for a stylish black boot that was practical in wet weather but looked great with pants or a skirt. These fit the bill perfectly. They look great, fit beautifully, are super comfortable and the rubber tread on the bottom means I won't be sliding all over the place in the rain! Love these!

Terrific Boot - This boot is great! I walk many miles per day and this boot has totally filled the bill. Also, have gotten many compliments on the look - very simple but classy. The leather is not as soft as some of the other boots I tried, but the comfort more than makes up for it.

Great boots! These are warm, cute and just the right length for wearing with skirts. They are very comfy. The only reason I didn't give the look 5 stars is that they look a tiny bit puddle bootish when you look down at the toe. ;-) They are narrow- so I wore a 7.5 versus the 7 I usually wear in boots.

Warm and comfy - I have a pair of Merrell's in a mary jane style that I love and have worn almost every day for the past year, so I knew these boots would be comfy. The boots are super warm and are easy to walk in. My only complaint is the look of the look of the heel area, but the boots are well made and I expect them to last a lifetime. They feel about a half size larger than my mary janes in the same size, but I like it so I can wear heavier socks with them.

Great construction and comfort. I tried these on with a medium thickness winter sock and the size 7 fit perfectly. I have chubby calves (14 1/2 inch) and find that many tall boots are too small in circumference. These are slightly wider and have a nice long strip of elastic going up the back as well. They will be snug over leggings but doable. Will probably have to go under my jeans, though. They also have very nice support for my foot. I need arch supports in most shoes, but I doubt I will need any for these. They also hold my foot straight when I walk (no pronation or supination).

Best for cold and wet - Bought these on 10th street in Manhattan - wore them out of the store to 58th street. I was so thrilled with these boots I was purposely jumping in puddles - they are adorable. Too bad they aren't a bit dressier, but that's not what they are for. Easily my favorite "go-to" boot for bad weather and or traveling. Especially good for "slightly wide" feet that still do better with an average width shoe rather than a wide-width.

Nice practical boot - Liked these boots overall. Good fit, casual, supposedly waterproof, everyday boot. Decided to send back as I wanted something a bit more stylish. These are a very practical looking boot and would be great for the snow. Could wear over or under pants and with skirts or tights.

Cute but didn't work. I absolutely love the look of these boots, but unfortunately I have to return them. I know the QForm sole works well for my Achilles and fascia issues so I was very excited to find these boots. I know I have wide calves and have trouble with boots, but I bought them anyway based on everyone's responses that the opening was too big. It didn't fit. I wish they made a wide calf boot in the same look. The footbed is fabulous though. If I could wear them, I'd keep them.

Nice Boot - These are great flat boots. Nice quality leather, a good heel and good traction. I am comfortable wearing them in the crazy mid-western weather and the nice thing is, they're still stylish unlike those stupid Ugg boots. Definitely more of an urban look, which I like. I do agree that the calf is very tight. I have pretty small calves and when I wear skinny jeans with them it's still a little hard to get the zipper at the way up. I think it just takes a little time for the leather to stretch out, because it wasn't as hard the 2nd week but they're definitely tight. I wear a half size, and I wish I had just gone a size up because it gets really tight in the toes. I can't wear thick socks with them, so if it's below 15 degrees my feet do get a little cold. The microfleece lining doesn't really live up to the sheepskin lining of the Ugg boots, but overall, I still think it was a worthwhile purchase. I would buy them again. Oh yeah! It had really nice cushion in the sole for boots :)
