Merrell Plaza Peak - For some reason the left boot cuts into my ankle and is very painful after several hours. The boot is very slip-resistant on ice and waterproof in slush and snow. I'll only wear them for short periods of time because of the ankle problem, so reconsider them if you will need them for extended periods of weight bearing!

Cute, Functional, Warm.... I ordered a half size bigger based on previous reviews. Worked out perfect! The boot looks really good with skirts and skinny jeans tucked in. Does not look good under pants as the boot shaft is a bit wide. Nonetheless a very comfortable winter boot for the Colorado winters.

Cute but very wide and roomy - I was very excited to receive this boot after seeing reviews from others on various websites. The leather is good quality and the design is modern and very comfortable. Unfortunately, the fit is VERY roomy around the ankle and calf area and I've got normal-wide sized muscular calves and don't have petite ankles. Most knee-high boots are very snug on me and can be a little difficult to zip up. This one zipped up fairly easily but there are gaps on the sides near the knee and the ankle is so baggy that they look more like a pair of rain galoshes than svelte, modern boots. I love these boots; I just wish they were a little thinner in the ankle and calf. The foot fit was perfect and I can tell the shoe part would be very comfortable to walk in, but it's just too wide for my already semi-large calves. What a bummer!

Quality product, but too roomy in the calf, as usual. I wanted to love these boots, but they're just too big in the calf. I don't think I have especially skinny calves (15" at widest part while standing), but these things are big enough in the calf that they look like rain boots. The leather is very nice, the sole feels like it has great traction, and they do look great with pants. But I want to be able to wear a boot with skirts, and this one simply doesn't cut it because of the roomy calves. Darn.

These boots are cute and seem well made, but they just don\'t fit me. I have fairly wide feet and the toe box was much too tight. But the heel was too wide and my heel slipped when I walked so a bigger size wouldn\'t have helped. There is arch support, but it hit me in the wrong spot and was just uncomfortable. The calf fit just right. It didn\'t gape, but I could easily tuck skinny jeans comfortably. I really wanted to like these boots, but they are going back.

Love Merrell brand shoes, but not these... I usually love Merrell brand shoes even though they tend to be a little wide on my narrow heel. However, these boots felt very stiff and hard on my foot just above the ankle. I am returning and opting for something a little more flexible.

I'm bummed, but I am going to have to return these boots. I believe the sole and arch support would be really comfortable and the boot would be quite durable. However, they look too much like a rain boot. The calves are roomy, too. These aren't too fashionable, and looks like one large piece of rubber. If you are wearing them under pants, you should be just fine. However, if you are wearing with a skirt or with pants tucked in, these look really casual. I wish they were a bit more decorative, rather than looking too much like a rain boot.

Disappointed - I was so ready to love these boots. I bought them for an upcoming trip to NYC; I wanted something that would be comfortable for walking, water-resistant, and stylish. I was sure these were going to be perfect: cute with pants, cute with skirts and tights... and yet, when I opened the box, I was disappointed. I thought they were oddly "elfin" looking (and hey, I love elves) and they were at least half size smaller than labeled. I am a 7.5 or an 8; I ordered the 8 to accommodate knee-socks, but even barefoot, they were too snug.
