Great boots! They fit like your usual sneaker size. I have always stayed away from Chelsea boots because they weren't comfortable -- these are! I should also note -- I pronate (roll my foot inward as I walk). These didn't provide enough arch support out of the box to prevent pronation, so I added an off-the-shelf insole for $15. Problem solved! Adding an insole to customize is something Blundstone has encouraged for years, and they even sell a few different kinds.

Big improvement over my last pair of 510s. The leather on my 510s was stiff and had a dull sheen, which never really got better. The leather on the 558s is a world away. Much softer and far less stiff, with a nice sheen out of the box. The 510s were stiff and tight across the top of my foot, even after a reasonable break in period. These fit me perfect all around, the first time that I put them on. I was hesisitant to spend $200, after my dissapointing previous experience. Now IwishIhadnt waited so long.

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

I have narrow feet, size 8- 8.5 and I wanted to wear thick socks and add their shearling insole for added warmth. I bought the 8.5 and that was the right fit for me. Comfy, utility boots for outdoor activities to keep your feet dry and warm. Highly recommend!

I have owned my Blunnies for ten years now, and I love them. Expect them to be a bit stiff to begin with, as they are made of thick quality leather. Once they have adjusted to your foot, you will never want to wear another shoe. Definitely worth the price.

Blundstone's are the best. Totally comfortable and cool and amazing boots. In fact, they're so good that I wore an ill-fitting pair for two years, despite the pain. Sharing my story in case this helps you choose the size to buy: I wear a 7.5 to 8 in every shoe, and I have a medium width foot (never have to order narrow or wide shoes), so I ordered the 8. Lengthwise, they were perfect, and I wore them for two years. They were totally great while I was walking, but if I would then sit down (like at a restaurant or in a movie theater), I'd feel this intense pain, like a cramping, across the tops of my feet. It was so painful that I'd actually have to remove the boots to get any relief. I did more reading up on Blundstones and learned that the whole and half sizes are the exact same length and width, but the half sizes have slightly more leather across the tops of the feet, allowing for a wider or looser fit. So, I took a chance and ordered the 8.5 recently. The soles of the boots line up perfectly with the original pair (size 8) that I still have—same length, same width. But I put them on and went for a walk with my dog, and I'm now back at my desk and there's no pain at all. This was impossible for me to do in the 8s. All of which is a very long way of saying: I recommend if you're between sizes, order the next whole size up AND the next half-size up as well, and compare the two. I'm sure if I had done that, I would've gotten a lot more wear out of my first pair of Blundstone boots! Never would've thought the 8.5 would be the right fit for me, but it is!

12 + hours a day on my feet. Work as a painter. Swap them out once a year. Tried many others. Best for me. 12 years now.

Totally love these boots. I had a pair of 500s for 15 years that finally disintegrated. I've bought two other pairs since then but they fit me differently..couldn't find the right size...one was too big and one too small. Finally tried these for some reason and my old size fits perfectly. I continue to be a bit confused about all the different styles and why they fit differently, but these are PERFECT, for me anyway.

Having worn and loved a pair of Blundstone boots, I decided to try another pair. I opened the box and put them on and was astounded to find that they needed no breaking in! As winter is around the corner and slippery wet leaves are everywhere, having a new pair of comfortable, good-looking water proof boots with great tread makes me very happy!

This shoe runs small, returning for next size up. Recommend sizing up at least 1/2 size.

My second pair of these in a different color. Super comfy. Ankle opening a little larger on these versus the dressier square toe Blundstones. I prefer these.

I am a women's 8½ shoe size. Always have been. I ordered these in a AU 5½ "Women's 8½" not an 8½ at all. More like a 7½-8. I could barely get my left (smaller) foot into one of these. Also I am very disappointed that Zappos does not include a free return shipping label in the box as I do not own a printer and bought these shoes for my upcoming trip which I leave for in a few days. I hope that I can manage to get these mailed back to the company in time before I leave for my trip with having to find a printer to use to print the return label and all. I am very unhappy with Zappos for not including the convenient return label in the box. This is an online shoe store, I imagine that they receive returns about half of the time.

I typically wear an 8.5 US Women's shoe and in these I ordered the AU size 6, perfect fit! These shoes are a dream! It took about three days to get used to the feel of the above the angle style for me but after that, I didn't want to take them off. They keep my feet perfectly warm in very cold weather, great grip for odd winter weather and personally I think they look great on. I love these shoes!

Not much for looks, but quite comfortable. Though I usually wear a narrow width, these don't feel too wide, and I've room for my orthotics. Wore them for more than 8 hours first time out and they felt great.

I was tired of wearing running shoes all winter long and have been looking for a comfortable and fashionable alternative. These shoes fit the bill. Look good with Jeans and are comfortable. Easy on and off and are serving well in the nasty Chicago winter we are experiencing so far this year.

I bought these for my daughter who works as a blacksmith. She was tired of lacing her work boots and wanted something she could easily slip on & off and were comfortable and durable as well. These fit the bill!

My husband was in need of a dressy pair of boots but were still practical with snowy weather. These boots were perfect! They look great with dress slacks and are easy to get on and off. They look great with jeans also with allows him to wear them when he's not working. sizing chart was spot on. US 13 = AUS 12.

I have worn the 150 style of Bludstones for years and year, and they are amazing shoes. But these are even better! Just like the 150s but everything feels even a bit more comfortable, solid, and although they look virtually the same, these are just a bit rounder in the toe and maybe the leather is a little nicer. The toe box on these is a bit stiff, and I was worried that it would be annoying and cause a blister, but after an hour long walk, it conformed to my foot and now these fit like a glove. I do order one size smaller in these than usual (I am a ladies 10, but order size 7 in these). The look is kind of tough, but a bit elegant, too.

Why didn't I buy these before?! Thanks to Aussie friends, I've long admired "Blundies." But I only recently got around to buying a pair. I wish I hadn't waited, as they've become a winter staple for me. They work with jeans or khakis, at work or at play. I love the slip-on convenience, especially when I have to take the dog out on cold nights. One warning: if you have narrow feet, as I do, you'll need to wear thicker socks, and the boots may still be a little loose. With lace-up oxfords or sneakers, that would bother me. With slip-on boots, it doesn't.

My first pair was purchased in 1991 in Sydney while studying abroad. I have worn them on weekends and to out at night for 20 years. They take polish well if they get scuffed. We were going to travel again realized after 20 years the cushioning was shot and got a new pair and wore every day for 10 days walking throughout Italy and on beaches and in Pompeii over rough rocks. Then at night going out to restaurants they still dress up well. Great all around boot. Even waterproof as we were at the ocean and a wave came up and soaked my jeans but some how my feet were still dry all day.

I'm a size 8.5 US women's, and took a 6 in Blundstone's sizing. They felt big at first try, and a 5.5 was too small, but Blundstone includes a shoe insert for comfort, and with that the 6 fit perfectly. I immediately waterproofed them and tried them out in the pouring rain, and they kept me dry and comfy. I would say break in period was about a day, they are comfy and cute as well, I would definitely recommend!

My feet have had a hard life and as a result, finding a comfortable shoe is difficult at best. The Blundstone BL558 is the best fitting boot I've worn since my DocMarten days. The boot accommodates a wide forefoot, narrow heel, high instep and an old and temperamental back. They're made for mucking about as well as for street wear. Two insoles are included with each pair so, that you can make your own fitting adjustments. I found that taking out both of them and sticking in an old Doc insole worked best for me. I usually wear a women's size 8 and found that the Aussie 5.5 fit provided the best fit with a Smartwool everyday sock. Buy these. You won't regret it!

Put these on and they became my favorite shoe. Not only are they comfortable but they look great as well. Love them!
