This is my third pair of "Blunnies" and my first pair of black. After a little rubbing on the left Achilles, they broke in quite nicely. I've had trouble getting a proper fit since my 2nd pair (I wear an 8.5, but they don't really have half sizes). This pair came with a thick insole and note that disclaimed the half size discrepancy. The insoles made all the difference and the boots fit perfectly now. I've always loved the rugged look of the brown boot once it was worn in, and it looks like the black will be equally nice. These are classic all weather boots; I even wear them hiking on my travels.

Finally found a pair of all-weather boots that fit and look great. Super comfortable with the insert. I\'m not sure if they are made to keep my feet warm, so I ordered a 1/2 size up so I can wear thick socks with them. They feel sturdy around my feet without feeling too heavy. They keep my feet dry on wet, cold days. Haven\'t tried them through a Boston winter to decide if they keep my feet warm. I\'ll rely on my socks for that as long as they keep my feet dry. Love them!

Awesome boots! Especially for this rainy fall we are having in the midwest. Great for busy moms too - no lacing!

I love the look of Blundstones, and was really hoping, with the unisex sizing, that they would be wide enough for me. Unfortunately, they are too narrow for my genetically inherited and bunion-y feet. Why not make a wide width, Blundstone?

I had purchased these boots with the intention of using them as all-purpose slip-on boots; something that I could wear out to the barn for chores or riding, running errands and perhaps the random walk or hike outdoors. These particular boots are rather rugged and I suspect would hold up well to just about all you could throw at them. I wear a ladies 9 (US) and I found that this Blundstone ran about as close to being true to my size as I am going to get with this brand. That being said, it was a bit snug on the sides, particularly when worn with socks. I also found the sole to be a bit more rugged than anticipated and not suitable for riding. I suspect that the soles could get caught up in the stirrups. I opted to return the boots for these reasons. As always, it is a pleasure to deal with Zappos even when you are not happy with the product. They make shopping and returns so easy!

At the one month mark, I'm fairly happy with them. I wear a 10.5, and if you do also, go with the size 11. Also, felt the price was too high for something made in China--these aren't made in Australia or Tasmania.

I liked the boot very much; however, it felt as if it were possibly two sizes too small. In flats I usually wear an 8 1/2. I'm 8 months pregnant, and have found that I need to wear a size 9 (even though on the shoe sizer, in stores, I still measure an 8 1/2).

The boots look better in the pictures. For $200 I was expecting very comfortable, amazing boots. I would not recommend buying these full price, maybe on sale. And if you're in between sizes, size up.

The length was spot on. I read information about sizing directly from Blundstone, so was aware that half sizes were not longer, but a bit wider. So I ordered 8.5 US Women (5.5 Aussie). It was the perfect length, but was still extremely tight across the top. I have very high insteps so this is always an issue, but read the leather would stretch. I wore them around the house and it was just too painful to wait for them to break-in. Those with high insteps beware, it was very tight across the top of my foot.

These are great boots, if only they fit right. The right boot has a somewhat smaller toe box than the left. My feet are the exact same length, I had them measured. At first it was irritating but then I kind of got used to it. The left fits perfectly. Lately, my right toe has been aching and it's the boot doing it. I should have returned them. So far as ruggedness, warmth and comfort, they are great as I wear them on the NYC subways and walk to work in all kinds of winter weather. I might get a pair a half size larger.

Wonderfully made, but terribly unattractive on a small woman. Would be great if you wear a size 9.

Very comfortable. Needed no breacking in. Only drawback was sole pulled away from boot upper in less than six months. Very disappointing.

The only boots that I have ever worn that are comfortable straight out of the box with no break in time. Great for being on my feet all day at work.

Great fit, comfortable, and stylish. Fit my wide foot perfectly.

I have wide feet, men’s 7.5 or women’s 9 wide. The unisex size 6.5 was perfect. ( the half size means wide in these boots).

I really like the fit and they are really comfortable to walk in and have a nice grip. The only downside is they aren't very warm. They are spacious enough that I can wear thick socks but wish they were a little more insulated.

Sizing is kinda confusing (for someone from the US) at first because it’s Australian, but fits true to size when you figure it out! For reference I’m usually an 8 US in women’s and I ended up with a 5 and it fits well! Very well-made, comfy, and I like the style.

Great look and feel. Comfortable right out of the box. A little tight when pulling them on for the first few wearings but beginning to soften up. Good quality. I'll be wearing these often.

Very hard to get the right fit!!!! I bought a few pairs. Even the same size varied!!!! Finally I found one pair — worth the trial and error. Not looking forward to buying another pair as much as I'd like to have them.

LOVE these boots. How did I not find them sooner? Love the look, love the comfort walking, love the ease of the pull-on. HOWEVER, it took me a while to get the right size. I wear a pretty solid 8 M: 8 1/2 in sneakers, sometimes 7 1/2 in sandals or slip-ons because I have narrower feet. I also like a big toe box. After many days of reordering this style, I settled on a 9 1/2 women's (6 1/2 AUS). Weird, right? Well, the 9s felt better footbedwise with the included extra cushion insert, which I couldn't put in the 8s without it feeling too tight. But then the top of my foot was rubbing the top of the shoe even in the 9s, and other reviews made me think the half sizes are not only about width, but about how much leather encircles the foot. That was great advice because the 9 1/2s feel perfect. I am worried that they will stretch out and maybe be a little big, so I ordered the additional shearling insole from the Blundstone website (also because it sounds nice and cushy and warm), and I will put that in for additional softness and in case the leather stretches out too much more. But I am striving for perfection here. Also, it did take a week or two for the tops of the shafts not to rub painfully on my shins. I spent 5 minutes working on the leather (like you would a catchers mitt in baseball) and that helped a lot and now there is almost no rubbing. I assume by next week there will be none. And these are my new go-tos for everything. Obsessed with them, really.

I’ve been wanting Blundstones for a while, and I finally got them! They are every comfy even on the first wear, no blisters! Comfy for all day wear. I do have high arches and they pushed on those a little by the end of the day; but I think if I use the lower volume insoles that they also came with it will be much better. Very cute, stylish, versatile and useful boots!

Love these boots, but they definitely run small, even compared to other Blundstones! I have wide feet so I followed the Blundstone website’s advice to order a half size, which is the same length as the whole size below, but with a wider fit. I am a US size 8 WW, so I tried this 550 and the classic 500 both in the same size, AU 5.5. While the 500 was comfortable but snug, I could barely get the 550 on my foot. The 550 is a much nicer lined leather that will not wear out as fast. Since I wanted to keep the 550 style and the wide fit, I had to go a full size bigger to AU 6.5. They are too big for thin socks, but once I put in the extra insole the 550s come with to snug up the fit, now they’re perfect with boot socks. If they loosen more with wear, I’m thinking of adding a shearling insole. Do not trust the listed size conversions—I have never been a US 9.5 in my life. Oh, and the comfort is amazing: after wearing them for a few hours a couple days in a row to loosen up the leather, I wore them for a 12-hour day driving to 7 different worksites and standing for an hour each time. No sore feet!

Style: not an issue, gorgeous right out of the box! Fit: Easy on & off, this is a big plus. Maybe a half size big in length with a thin sock, but perfect with a thick sock. Great room in the toe box and comfortably wide. Plenty of room to add a shearling insole for that extra touch of luxury. For reference, I'm a pretty solid 8 1/2 US, and a 39 in Euro sizing. Opted for a US 9 in these based on reviews that said it was short, and maybe and 8 would work if I wear them with a thinner sock (not my plan), but because I'm wearing with a thicker sock & will be adding an insole, the extra bit of room is great. Do I wish my feet looked tinier in them? Maybe, but even if they don't, they still look super cool!

I love this boot, just love. Good sizing and width, quite good arch support. My insteps are very high, making this boot exceedingly difficult to put on, even with a shoehorn, and doubly difficult to get off. With reluctance, because they are fine once on, I have to return them--not for any issue with the boot, but because of the anatomy of my instep.

Been wanting a pair of Blundstone's for a while. Ordered several pairs (sizes and styles) only to return them, some were too short in length, some were too high on the ankle and rubbed my skin, one rubbed at the heel, went a size up my feet were swimming. After reading reviews I finally called Blundstone to figure out what was I doing wrong, at $200 I want to get it right as I will have them forever. Ended up going with my normal size of 6.5, BL558 Classic 550 hit perfect, not to short, not to long, no rubbing on the heel or ankle. Kind of like Goldilocks ... they were just right! I usually wear them with crew socks, just makes them more comfortable. They are great with leggings, jeans, super all around shoe. At that price point I'm glad I did my research, they are worth every penny
