Horrible construction, and horrible laces. I've owned about 4 pairs of these shoes (and that's 3 pairs too many). The laces that come with these shoes last no longer than 3 months. They are very cheap and it's nearly impossible to buy a replacement set that is complimentary to the style. On my recent pair, which barely show any wear on the sole, the side of one of the shoes has blown out. The leather upper is completely detached from the sole. I've bought my last pair.
I'd also recommend:
Anything but this shoe.

When I first got the shoes I was very pleased with them. Good fit and very nice looking, but only after a couple months these shoes self destructed. The soles cracked in half and the shoe was unwearable. What makes it really sad is that it was not the only shoe I was wearing in the three months they fell apart. I can not recommend these shoes because of the short life span.

If you want to throw away your money, buy this shoe. Nice style, but absolutely no arch or foot support at all. I would do better to walk barefoot. I would have heeded the other reviews, but I always have to find out for myself. Well, I found out.\r\n\r\nI\'ve had a pair of Clarks before, but the quality of that shoe, which was a similar style to this one, was incomparably better.\r\n

I am returning these shoes because I believe them to be defective. However, I'll start with the good. These shoes fit pretty well and have nice styling. Now for the bad. After just a few wearings, they began to wear through at the ball of the foot and before long were almost completely worn through and letting in water. I've had another pair of Clarks for about 5 years, which are only now showing the kind of wear on the new ones. I hope this isn't a sign that Clarks' biggest asset, quality, is on its way out, but I can tell you I won't be buying another pair from this company anytime soon.

Unbearably uncomfortable!
Nice looks. That's about it. There is NO cushioning and NO arch support on the bottom of this shoe. Absolutely none. I had to use the best gel insoles w/ arch supports and they STILL destroyed my feet. I then added a SECOND foam insole and STILL it felt like I was walking on a flat slab of concrete all day. To make matters worse, the right shoe developed a 'bump' on the top left-hand side and then gave me a huge blister for weeks. I had to stop wearing these shoes after 2 weeks since they were so badly made. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY.
