Nice, but poor sole - Like others have said, the sole on the shoes cracked within 6 months of owning them. I thought it was because I got a size that was a bit too long for my foot (because the smaller sizes were too narrow). However, seeing here, apparently it's a serious flaw in the design. Like others said, makes it impossible to use the shoes in the rain. The sole wore down so much after a time that it wore through the insole on one foot and then started wearing holes in my socks and made a blister form on the bottom of one of my feet.

The shoe is fine and looks good and whatnot. My issue is that it was not very close (at all) to being true-to-size. I generally wear a 12 in sporting/athletic shoes, and a bit smaller in dress shoes. But, I went down to a 10 with these, only to find that even they are still too big. What in the world? I understand that shoe sizes vary by manufacturer and possibly a bit by style within the same manufacturer's offerings, but, two full sizes smaller to get a proper fit? Makes it a real long process when you are waiting a week between each size (return a size, wait for next smaller size, repeat).

The soles are terrible! I love the shoes, have owned 5 pairs in the last 4 years. The problem with the shoes is the soles on the ones I got cracked all the way through on the bottom so bad that if it was raining outside my feet would get soaked.

Decent pair of shoes. Not great, but entirely decent. I bought these to replace a pair of Clark shoes that I had worn in the hospital for almost 5 years! Those were incredibly supportive through the heel and arch. These are less supportive. These are incredibly lightweight though. So about one month into owning them, they are tolerable but not great.

The shoes are nice and comfortable and okay I guess, but I do have a few complaints about them. First, the shoelaces lasted about 2 weeks, and after walking in the rain in them they make a permanent squishing noise which is very annoying.

Not comfortable -
Although the shoe looks great, it is like walking on concrete. I won't buy these shoes again.

Comfortable and good looking. However, the sole wears slick in a matter of months.

Nice Shoe With Problems -
Shoe looks great and very easy to wear. Love the shoe, but two major problems. One is that this shoe cannot be worn while it is raining or ground is wet (found out the first week I owned the shoe). Rubber sole leaks due to it stitched on the bottom for design. (Stitching Leaks.) Other problem is that the rubber sole is wearing out and cracking with holes developing. Bad Sole Design.

No waterproof -
Love the shoes, but they aren't waterproof. I'm talking waterproof on the bottoms. Walking on even wet pavement or shallow puddles the water soaks into the stitching on the soles and right into your socks.

Defect -
I have had my Nebulae shoes for less than 6 months, and only wore them for maybe a total of 3 months. The rubber sole on both shoes is cracked and the tread is worn off! The shoe is very comfortable, and the leather has worn very well, but the rubber sole leaves much to be desired.

Although I liked the style of these shoes, there is very little I can say about the performance. After 4 months of wear (3-4 times per week) my shoelaces have broken, stitching has come loose, and both shoes have cracked at the balls of my feet allowing water to come in on rainy days. If you want good looking shoes for a good 3.5 months, these are for you!

Leaky soles - Bought these shoes 3 weeks ago. I live in Seattle, where we don't get lots of rain all at once, but sidewalks are often moist or have a little standing water (not deep, just wet). I have found the shoes suck up water through the soles where the stitching is - my heels and the balls of my feet were soaked but the rest of my socks were totally dry. Weird and disappointing.

Great-looking shoe with a short life! I've had two pairs of these shoes. They're comfortable and look great. However, both pairs developed cracks in the soles after a few months of moderate wear, causing my feet to become soaking wet in rainy weather. I've loved Clarks shoes for years, but I'm deeply disappointed in the soles used on these shoes and I'm becoming reluctant to purchase additional shoes from Clarks for this reason.

Disappointed - I purchased these Clarks from a local store and have owned them for about a year, wearing them 2-3 times per week. The sole cracked across the ball of my left foot. You can stick your finger through the crack from the inside. The uppers have been fine, but who wants to pay this much for a pair of shoes that only lasts about a year! I've also had a similar problem with a pair of Ecco's. It's really getting difficult to find a comfortable pair of shoes that last very long. Very disappointed!

DISAPPOINTED!
The look and feel of the shoes was fine, but the durability was poor. After 6 months, the soles were bald; and after 10 months, worn completely through. The stitching was also coming loose in a number of areas. Buy Ecco instead.

I like the styling a lot, and Clarks have always lasted and lasted for me. However, the sole cracked across bottom at the ball of the foot area on both shoes and now draws water in even when the pavement is just wet, not to mention puddles. This happened after 6 months of wearing them half the time. They are comfortable, look good, but I think the sole on this particular Clarks model is faulty. My boss had two pairs of this shoe and the exact same crack through the sole happened on both his pairs as well. Bummer.

Really surprising and disappointing for what is typically a really good shoe brand. Blew through several pairs of laces because the end eyelets tear them up. Then, to my surprise, the front of the shoe got a huge hole in it...after about one year of moderate use. Too bad, it's the best looking shoe out there in its class, in my opinion. The other Clarks are really nice too but now I'm gun-shy about trying another pair.

I purchased this shoe from another retailer, but wanted people to know that it isn\'t a great buy. I normally love Clarks shoes, and am very easy on my shoes, but the soles on these cracked across the middle within only 2 months of occasional wear. Too bad, as they are quite stylish and comfortable.

First and last pair of Clarks. Not a super comfortable shoe. The insoles started getting messed up within the first 3 weeks of owning. Soles are very worn and starting to crack within 3 months. Laces are cheap and break easily.

I like the look and initial comfort, but these wear out quickly. Two pairs have each lasted well under a year with holes developing in the soles. I can't wear in wet weather without socks getting wet. I called Clark shoes to complain and they said they will replace if returned to a Clark shoe store.

Nice looking shoe that falls apart very quickly. The sole on my shoe wore through in about 6 months and the stitching on the top came off in about the same time. The shoe laces lasted about 8 months. Unacceptable for a Clarks shoe to last less than a year under moderate use.

After a minimum amount of use and mileage, the soles of these shoes, especially at the ball area of the foot, have quickly worn smooth and have developed holes. The soles are "slick" and the shoes are dangerously slippery. Although I find them to be comfortable, they are a terrible value when it comes to wear.

Soles are not water resistant -
Day One of ownership, while walking from my car in the car park to my office in the rain the spongy insole soaked up water. By the time I made it to my office, my socks were wet. I can't tell how comfortable the shoes really are as they are no longer on my feet. I'm walking around in bare feet waiting for the shoes and socks to dry out. I've been wearing Clarks for years and have never run into such a silly design flaw.

Really comfortable to wear and nice looks, but in about 10 months the soles had cracked in multiple places and I can no longer wear them. Extremely disappointed and this will be the first and last pair of Clarks I ever purchase. My $12 shoes from Target lasted much longer.

Do not buy these shoes! The soles are a joke as many other reviews say. I had to try myself. Four months later and I can throw them away. The soles fell apart.
