So grateful for wide-calf boots. I don't wear these in town, they're for an upcoming trip where I'll be climbing in and out of a Zodiac raft and trying not to freeze my feet in polar water. Lots of great reviews -- informative and well written -- on this boot, but I wanted to put in a word for the adventurer/expeditioner. I got a size larger than usual to allow for heavy socks. My only complaint is lack of support in the sole, but that's just my personal need. I don't wear floppy-soled shoes at all, and my have to buy a stiff insert in order to feel really stable. Those of you not 65 yrs old w/a hip replacement probably won't be bothered by the sole/stability thing. Nice boots.

My calves measure right at 16" at the widest point, and these fit me great. I like that they are adjustable so I can even wear a thin pant/skinny jean underneath them. They are a little wide in the ankle but I wore them with tights (instead of thick socks) and did not have any issues with them feeling too loose. I wish they came in some brighter colors but at least gray is better than black. They kept me warm and dry on a recent rainy day.

I have been on the search for a good pair of rain boots for a while now and was so happy I came across these. I agree with the other reviews that they run small. I usually wear a 7.5/8 and ordered a 7 which fit perfectly. I don't own a car so I do a lot of walking and these are not too heavy and very comfortable! Very pleased with them so far!

Well, I am so thrilled with the width of the calf area. Having larger (15.5") calves, I have been searching for cute rain boots that give that look of extra room around the top. These fit me with the buckle tightened as it comes and still has a couple holes to loosen it up for an even roomier space at the top. While a bit shorter than I would ideally like, they are still decently tall and very comfortable. I wish they would make the ankle area smaller (just because we have larger calves doesn't mean we have cankles) so that these would be a bit more slimming and flattering, but overall they are cute and simple and seem like they will do the job. They are definitely a bit more "galoshes" than "sexy rain boot," but finding something that fits and is comfortable is a good place to start! I have only tried them on with leggings, so we will see if these work with skinny jeans when the time comes. Being pregnant doesn't help the matter much though...everything is expanding! I went with other reviews and ordered a half size down (I am usually a 7.5 or 8 and I ordered a size 7) and they fit perfectly.

A very nice boot. The wide calf part is quite accurate, but I was able to use the buckle for a better fit. I liked that my pants could fit inside.

I love these boots but just be aware that they do run big. I'm typically a 7.5 but I got a 7 after reading the reviews. These boots are still a little loose but I think that will work out for winter when I'm wearing thick socks. These boots are extremely flexible and they don't constricted my calves like some others I've tried.

I ordered these as my first pair of rain boots and I really do love them however they are a bit snug on the calf. muscleHowever I do have like 20+ inch calfs. The actuall foot portion fits great and is insanely comfortable. I'm sure the problem is my big old leg and not the boot so i will probably stick with rain booties from here on out. Stil and all the quality of the boot and the comfort of the shoe are magnificent.

Just wanted to note that if you're using these to feed farm animals -- the hay sticks horribly to the fleece lining! You have to tuck your pants into them and then sort of create an umbrella over the boot with your pants by pulling them up a bit, so the hay doesn't get inside. If the hay gets inside, it's very difficult to get out! Otherwise, these boots work fine and not much sticks to the outside.

I just got these yesterday so haven't had time to actually use them, but they will fit my purpose. I'll be feeding farm animals while the owners are away, so need something that will keep my pants and feet clean and dry. I can easily put them on and tuck my pants into them quickly. With the thin textile lining, they won't be too hot and will absorb moisture. The ankle is loose fitting, but if it wasn't they'd be difficult to get on and off. Very little arch support, so I added my own. The rubber looks durable, and they look nice on. I ordered them in the morning, and they came the next day, even though I live in a rural mountain area. Thanks, Zappos, for expediting the shipping!

I am usually a size 8 or 9 depending on brand and type of shoe. I ordered these in an 8 and they do feel about a half size big in the foot, but the calf is just right and I can stuff in my (non-skinny) jeans easily. The buckle is a great touch and gives slight relief when needed (but don't expect it to widen the calf too much). I agree with other users that the ankles are too spacious, but unless you plan to hike the mountains in these that shouldn't matter too much. Over-all these boots do exactly what I wanted them to: fit my 15-3/4" calf, and keep my feet from getting sloppy when I take the dog out on rainy days. HOWEVER, I have noticed a squeeze sound coming from one of the heels when I walk, which means water is probably getting in somewhere. My feet have stayed dry so far, but I've only had these about a week and I'm keeping an eye on it.

I wear an 8.5WW in shoes and usually get a 9W in boots. I have an extremely wide calf and sadly, these did not fit. After reading reviews, I got the U.S. women's 8, medium width. The foot and ankle fit great, I could feel that these would be very comfortable. Unfortunately, I couldn't pull them up all the way and forget about tucking in pants! I would say these would fit a Max 16" diameter calf.

I agree with a lot of the other reviews. These are nice and roomy for wide calves, which is hard to find, but are still stylish and practical. The fit in the ankles is a little bit too roomy and could be fitted better. They are not uncomfortable, but do cause the boots to feel a little klunky. I usually wear between a 9-10. I got them in 9 and they are pretty comfy. That having been said, these are great boots and I'm glad I got them!

Great boots! Comfy and cute...but I foolishly bought white and looked very industrial when trying them on...so I returned them. I thought it might be cute to have white boots but its actually quite silly unless you work on a dairy farm, I suppose. No puddle jumping with the kids in those!

I'm 5'3,150 lbs, and my calves are 15.5' wide. I've read many pages of reviews and people who had even bigger calves than I do seemed to able to fit into these boots pretty well with skinny jeans and thick socks. Not for me. I could push my leg in but when I stand straight, the ankle part of the rain boots folded signifying the rain boots is tight around my calves. I also ordered Tretorn Emlie as well but it was the same result for me as well. But the rain boots look durable and the arch sole seems not too bad but I would put foot sole inside since rain boots are usually flat on the sole surface. Sadly, I had to return these rain boots.

I first ordered the Hunter Huntress rain boot. They were tight around the calf (I don't have big calves) but I could still get my pants to tuck inside of them. The only problem was they were so loose around my ankle it was floppy when I walked. I returned those and got these. I love them and use them as snow/rain boots. I am typically a size 7-8 and I went with the 7 which fits perfectly.

Got these to replace the Tretorn Sofiero boots that were too tight in the calf. These are MUCH better. If you have a wide calf, these should work. I am short and have size 6 feet. These are very roomy through the foot and ankle, but the calf has a great fit. There is a gusset that I wish started lower down, but at least I can get these over my legs and can get them off again. The soles do not appear to be one piece with the boot, so not sure how long they will last, but I'm going to try them out.

Ordered these and the Kamik Jennifer. I loved the look of the Kamiks much more; however, they were so tight on my calves that they were difficult to get off. These Tretorns were cute and were big enough in the calf area that I can wear them with thick socks and still be comfortable. The only downfall to these boots is that they lack any ankle support. They're my first pair of rainboots so this could be normal.

They do the job but I'm not in love with them. I thought they were black (not navy blue) when I ordered them. I ordered a size larger than what I usually wear and they fit nicely - I'm happy I listened to the other reviews.

I love my rain boots! I read all the reviews but did not order a size smaller and probably should have. They are very roomy in the foot and calf area. I just put a few insoles in and they are great!

Last Friday my boots arrived and to my dismay, one of them was marred. Well, Zappos Customer Service gave me the hook up and a fresh pair arrived on Monday. These things are exactly what I wanted: Hunter look-a-likes. My only problem is the wobbly ankle, but other that, the boot is super comfy. After being on my feet for 9 1/2 hours yesterday, I can assure you these things rock! The navy color is spot on and the adjustable straps do their job. If you need a cool shoe, get thee a Tretorn Langta.

Nice boot, especially if you have larger calves. I can wear them with a pair of jeans tucked in without discomfort. They seem to be very sturdy, but are awkward when going up or down stairs. Nice find, though!

I am 5'2 and have a very large calf and wide feet. I was hoping that these would fit but unfortunately they will be getting sent back to Zappos. The rubber is very soft and I was able to pull them up but not all the way so they scrunched around the ankle. There was also no way I could have tucked Jeans into them. I ordered a size 10 and they were very large. You should definitely order your size or even a size smaller. If they fit they would have been a great rainboot and very stylish.

I've been using these boots the past few days in NYC during the remnants of various tropical storms. They are super comfortable, and besides my relief at having boots that fit around my calves (Hunters were a no-go for me), I like the look of these and the little pop of color near the buckle is a nice touch.

Excellent boots. I have abnormally wide calves for my body type...and these are the only rain boots that actually fit them! The boots are great quality, and thick so you can probably wear them in the winter with thick socks. I'm like a perfect 8.5, I bought a 9 thinking it'd be smaller...but the 9 is a little loose. I am keeping them; however, I'll just wear thicker socks with these boots. It'll all buff out. Love it! And love Zappos!

These are great rain boots. I wore them for much of the terrible northeast snowy winter and wear them whenever it rains. They are roomy enough on top for my wide calves and even have enough room for me to stuff in jeans. I've had 2 minor issues with it. On one boot, the buckle strap broke off but hasn't affected the function of the boot. The other issue is that, because of the "point" part of the buckle, when I cross my legs, the buckle catches on my clothes. Could be pretty dangerous in ripping a hole if you're not careful.
