I love these shoes! They are so comfortable and I always receive compliments when wearing them. Wore them during a girls' weekend in NYC and they never got old. I did have a problem with one of the button covers, but thanks to Zappos excellent customer service the damaged boots were replaced next day.

This is a good looking, practical, comfortable boot. I'm small (5'2 and about 105 lbs). They hit at my calf. They're a little wide, but it still looks fine and gives me room to tuck in skinny jeans. That's perfect, because I bought them to be the one pair of shoes I travel with: skirt or pants, casual or professional, lots of walking, warmth and a stable sole. The only drawback is that they're kind of snug where the top of the foot meets the ankle. Hard to get into the boot with thick socks. But, I suppose that's the price you pay for the sleek silhouette.

I bought these based solely on the reviews of others, and am very pleased. Although others have said that they find the boots very warm, I live where it doesn't get cold enough to snow and my feet still get numb. Still, they're very comfortable and I, like others, would like to buy another pair in a different color.

I've had the brown ones for 3 years. Life in Juneau, AK is wet and cold and these work great! They look nice with tights, skinny jeans or under regular jeans, I wear them all the time. I just came to Zappos because I realized that I can't live without a pair in black!

I have been looking for the right boot for me for years. For me, this is the perfect boot. As with all my Merrell shoes I was able to wear all day from day one. I literally now buy nothing but Merrell shoes. Well worth the money. My only complaint is that sometimes the sandals are a bit wide for me.

These boots fit my size 11 feet perfectly. They are roomy enough to accommodate thick socks on super cold Minnesota days. They are comfortable and pretty versatile.

I got these in the cherry color and not only are they very comfortable, but are also very stylish and work well in rain and for a short amount of time in the snow. I've gotten a lot of compliments on them each time I wear them.

I had to try on a lot of boots to find these, but they are lovely. They are pretty, comfortable, and will look good with skirts or pants. My (admittedly athletic) calves take up all the room in these, but I think there's still room for skinny jeans if you're so inclined. I love the way they taper at the ankle and don't give the impression of elephant ankles as some boots do. Also, the toe isn't totally rounded like combat boots, but it's not too pointy either. And the detailing on the back is unusual and understated. They are advertised as waterproof, and I will sno-seal them, but it remains to be seen how they will hold up to sidewalks in the Iowa winter...I am hopeful that they are up to the task though.

I tried on the Teva Montecito, Keen Bern Baby, and this boot. This was the most comfortable of the three - feels kind of like a slipper. The style is pretty good - nothing special at all, though, just a very basic black mid-shaft boot. Good height for petite frames. Looked good with skirts and skinny jeans, but not super-fashionable, just basic. The back straps give them a little edge, but still pretty plain boot. If you need a pair of basic, waterproof boots that are super-comfortable, this is a good choice. I would size up half a size if planning to wear with socks instead of tights.

These shoes, as everyone else says, are amazing. I put them on right out of the box and have worn them every day, all day for a week. In cold wet Pittsburgh weather. I have not had a shoe so great in a long time. Merrells sometimes feel tight on my 7 1/2 foot so I got an 8 and they were perfect. And they fit perfectly around my calves, and these are no super model calves and I have always had trouble with mid calf boots for this reason. These are just great. I am so happy with them. I don't know how they'll do as the winter progresses into real winter, i.e, major snow and super low temps, but shoot, I am loving them! I highly recommend them. And I am very picky about fit and style. I did not have any trouble with the slipping in and out as some people mentioned either. Oh, and Zappos was great as always.

Love! I went in to try on another boot, but it was too wide in the calf for me. At first, I was put off by the detail on the back of these, but once I slipped them on, I was sold. Bought my usual size (8.5) and they fit and feel so comfortable. Might go back for the brown after Christmas.

Unbelievable comfort. I have a very narrow foot and slim calves, so these are wide on me. However, they are true to size and fit well in the ankle, so with thick socks they are just right. They cushion your foot superbly. I bought four pairs of boots in the last few weeks, and I can tell these will be my "go to" for everything. Good arch support, and excellent cushioning for the foot and heel. Another reviewer commented on the "funky Cossack" look. It's true, and actually, it's a great look! Who wouldn't want to be a Cossack, now that they are in the dustbin of history?

Man, I love these boots. I'd tried them on before at a retail shop, so I knew what size fit the best (I run 8.5 - 9 and definitely needed a 9 in these). They were comfortable right out of the box - in fact, right after getting them I wore them two days straight in Vegas with not a single blister (I admit that my front shin got a bit chafed, but that had more to do with how my pants were tucked). The style is adorable and I'm still marveling that they're waterproof. Outstanding boot, all told.

I love these boots! I am very picky about boots, and searched forever for a pair that was my style. When I first found these I was hesitant, but when I ordered them and tried them on I fell in love! They are super comfy, warm, waterproof, and stylish. Fits my wide foot well!

I got these just in time to go up to the snow in Lake Tahoe, and for the rain storm in the SF bay area. I love them! The soles are very comfy with nice arch support. They kept my feet warm and dry. They do take a little breaking in, because the ankle is a bit stiff, which made it hard to point/flex my foot to press the gas pedal in my car. They're definitely snug when I wore my thick wool snowboarding socks and tried to tuck in my jeans, too. I think they'll stretch out some, though.

Great boots. Love them and wear them practically every day. Will definitely be buying the black one soon.

Although I liked the boot and it was a good fit (I always buy Merrell's a size larger since I think they run a bit small) I am concerned about the sole. I have the same boots in black and have notice some wear on the heel after only short walks. The older Merrell's sole are almost indestructible and show no wear after many many miles. I am returning so I have time to wear the black boots to see how they wear.

Sallow is great! The shoe quality is always number 1. Thanks for making my Merrell boot purchase so easy.

Great boots. They are a little "sporty" for work but in the weather we've had lately here in Chicago they have been okay to wear even for work. Your feet don't get too hot if you wear them all day. Overall very comfortable. The shaft is generous but not too large. Could be good with leggings.

I really love these. They are very comfortable and super stylish. If wearing with long pants and keeping the boot underneath, they come off pretty casual, and I don't love them quite as much. If exposing the whole boot, I would say you can dress them up or down. Super cool looking - I really love them.

Review: Merrell Tetra Launch Waterproof Boot LOVE this boot! (It helps a lot that I love Merrell and Zappos!) They go great with jeans and skirts -- especially skirts and dresses. Add a pair of knee high socks and you've got a cute look. I'm a picky shopper - VERY picky - and I will not keep something if I don't absolutely love it. I read reviews. I wait. I try to find the best deal online. About twelve years ago, I moved from an urban area to a rural area. So I need my shoes to be durable, versatile, comfortable, and attractive. I wore them all day right out of the box and my feet never felt sore or tired. The waterproof function of this shoe has come in handy on more than one rainy day already. The Merrell Tetra Launch Waterproof boot combined with Zappos is a shinning moment of victory in my shopping history. I normally wear a 7 or 7 1/2 and my foot runs a little bit wide. Because of some previous reviews, I went with a size 8 and I'm very glad I did. With thick socks, they fit perfectly. They are a little bit loose with thinner socks so if I want to wear tights, I wear a pair of short, thick socks over them. I would classify my calves as average so they "hug" just right. They do scuff easily but it adds to the "rugged" look I like. I ordered them at about 5 pm one night and they were on my doorstep by 11 am the next day. Zappos is THE BEST place to buy shoes. Can't beat the customer service or the fact that they have free shipping on returns and exchanges.

I love this boot! Slightly edgy style and very comfy. I have been wearing it during current nasty cold weather and they keep me nice and warm, as well as dry. The treads also make me confident in slippery conditions. The only down-side is that the foot-bed is quite wide while the ankle is not. I wear short but thicker socks to get most comfortable fit. And yes, they do scuff-up but the style lends itself to a rougher look IMHO.

I had ordered 5 different styles of boots before I found the Tetra Launch. I really wanted a pair of Uggs, but they didn't fit me well. I am glad now because these are much cuter than any Uggs that I have seen. I highly recommend!

These are the greatest boots ever. I never spend this kind of money on myself, but these are gorgeous, comfy, waterproof, and warm. The leather is soft and beautiful, though it does scuff easily. With snow drifts 4' high in my neighborhood, I am delighted to have sexy new boots to wear out instead of being stuck in my utilitarian snow boots until Spring. Looks cute under jeans, over leggings and with skirts if you like looking kind of badass.
