These are waterproof and comfortable for teaching in all day. Skinny jeans fit without a problem. They're a little warm (they're lined with thinsulate), but not too much foot sweat and zero stink.

I got the Tetra Launch Waterproof boots last season. They truly are waterproof when it comes to dog walking across fields with standing water. I add a pair of Superfeet molded 3/4 insoles and they are perfect. The boots have a funky Cossack look, but there is wiggle room in the toes because of the unusual shape.The Polartec lining is warm, but it's not uncomfortable when wearing tights or light socks when it's in the mid 60's. I usually wear a 7.5 but got these in an 8 to wear with heavier socks. They are roomy, but don't slip. I'm going to order another pair in brown. These boots look good with skirts and with skinny jeans.

I bought these boots last winter (winter of 2010/2011) to wear in the rain/snow/slush in Boston. I like how they looked and they were for the most part pretty comfortable, but sadly they are not really waterproof! I don't know if I have a faulty pair or what (since I bought them based on other peoples reviews who said they kept their feet dry), but mine start to leak pretty soon after being out in the rain. Definitely disappointing!

Awesome boots. I was torn between the 7.5 and 8 (I can wear either) but went with 7.5 and they're perfect and they stretched out nicely. Comfortable from day one, like sneakers. Perfect combo of functional, comfortable, and stylish. I'm able to wear them over skinny jeans or under boot-cut jeans.

These boots are the single best sartorial purchase I have ever made! I bought these boots in the early fall of 2010, and I have worn them literally every day since that it has been cold enough to do so (and even a bunch of days where it has probably been too hot!). They have held up incredibly well. They are a bit scuffed at this point, but almost new. My only compliant is that the zippers both broke off a few months ago (I have used keyrings to fix this, though, so not such a big deal, especially given the zippers lasted for almost two years of near-constant wear). They are even still quite waterproof after two years, and I have not treated them at all in the meantime. I get compliments on these boots all the time, even after a few years and a bunch of scuffs. They are much more interesting than any other flat boots that I have seen on the market! Everything gives me blisters, but these boots never have, even after long weekends spent walking around New York City. The arch support is also incredible! And like some others, I had a tiny bit of trouble zipping the boots up past my calves at first, but after about a week the leather stretched out and now they fit like a glove. I would recommend these boots to absolutely everyone!

These are the most awesome boots ever! I was worried that they would look too utilitarian, but they look so much better on. They are also extremely comfortable and practical thanks to the waterproofing. I find that the cherry brown color goes with just about everything, and the detailing on the backs gives them a little something special. The Zappos customer service experience was amazing, as always.

Love these boots. They're warm without being hot, waterproof and super comfortable for all day wear. I've worn them in the rain, casually with dresses or skirts and to the horse stables. They wipe clean easily and become more and more comfortable each time I wear them. They have a roomy toe box and are cushioned enough for all day walking comfort without feeling squishy. Highly recommend.

Awesome boots! These are the absolute cutest rain & snow boots I have ever seen!!! They seem to run about a half size large but work out fine if you want to wear more than a thin sock. I have worn them in the rain and they are completely waterproof while keeping my feet nice and warm. The foot is a bit longer looking due to the design but not overly so. They are pretty small in the calves since I have small calves (about 12in) and these have about an inch of room so anyone with more athletic or larger calves would probably find them snug. I am so excited to have added these to my collection of Merrell shoes and will continue to shop this brand. I highly recommend these for anyone who wants cute waterproof boots!

Purchased these in November and one of the button covers came off...we glued it but it came off again two months later. Zappos did an exchange for me as a one time courtesy. No hassles. I think I just got a defective pair. I love these boots...good fit and very flattering. I love Zappos too...great customer service!

I have a wide foot, ordered an 8.5 reg, and while the width is perfect, it seems long. Should it? I'm afraid an eight would probably be tight. There is a one finger gap between heel and the back of boot. Is that the way it should fit. I may order an 8 and try my luck...only because I love these boots and want the perfect fit. I won't give up!

These boots are so comfortable I want to wear them to bed. They are truly the most cozy pair of shoes that I have ever owned, besides maybe my Uggs. I am an 8 and ordered an 8 and find they fit best with a pair of thick socks. I get a lot of compliments when I am rocking these girls. I wanted a pair of waterproof boots for Boston (I am an L.A. transplant) and though so far the winter has been quite mild, I feel stylish, cozy and warm when I step out in these.

I absolutely love these boots. They are indeed comfortable and, in my opinion, stylish. At first they look a little bit like galoshes (and I'm not a big fan of those), but after a few days the leather breaks in and the boots sort of customize themselves to your leg. I am very happy with these. I spent the whole New Year's Eve in these walking, dancing and my feet just thanked me for it.

These are very comfortable. Love the look and get a lot of compliments when I wear them. Fits well over a slimmer or average sized calf. Only problem is that a button has come off on two pair that I have owned. I wear the boots anyway and may contact Merrell for a new button.

Great every day boot comfy, and fairly fashionable. Love the waterproofing. My only complaint is I wish the toe box was a little less round or had some detail to make it a tad less plain. The back of these boots are very cute, the toe box doesn't match-up style-wise.

I fell in love with these boots before I even took them out of the box. They're perfect: comfortable, versatile, sharp, and a bit unusual. The cherry color is beautiful and adds to the boots' versatility. The boots are standing up well to rain, and I have every confidence that they'll do well when snow arrives. I find every excuse to wear them.

I love this boot. It's very comfortable and cute at the same time. The first few times I put them on I struggled getting my ankle into the right one, but now it's not a problem at all. They're warm, but not too warm. I only wish they were a few inches taller. I plan on wearing them to Europe in January and will be doing a lot of walking.

Bought this boot last year. I have worn them constantly and they have been great! Good fit and cute. Comfortable for extensive walking. I have high arches and the support is sufficient. Worth the money!

This boot rocks. It fits my calf well and is comfortable in the footbed, and believe me. I have finicky feet! I wear it with lightweight wool socks for ultimate comfort and warmth. I've worn it once so far in heavy rain and no leakage. This boot is so awesome I bought it in both colors and don't regret it. Thanks, Merrell and thanks Zappos!

These boots are great. They are supportive and comfortable from the first second you put them on. They will keep your feet warm and toasty. They are wearing in quite nicely, and I receive compliments on them daily. They are quickly becoming my favorite pair of shoes in my closet. I just wish they were about a inch higher (I could've considered these normal 'high' boots. They're about an inch or so lower than typical high boots.

These are very comfortable, and offer enough room in the toes to feel like I can wear them all day long. They are really light too, and not too hot for work. I love the mid-calf height, perfect for my knee-length skirts, and my not-very-tall stature.

Love these boots. I have very small calves (maybe 11.5" at the widest point) so it can be hard to find boots. I got the black ones, it was the 4th pair I tried. These are wide at the top, but not enough to look silly, and it leaves room for pants to be tucked in with no problem. Arch support is moderate on my foot, overall very comfortable though and I also thought they look much better in person than on the screen. I can't wait to wear them this winter.

Excellent boots!!! They look much more expensive than they are, and are almost flat with a removable footbed. I love the whole Merrell "tetra" line and hope they make more with this footbed. I think my calves are fairly normal sized, and these boots are just slightly too loose at the top, but they drape nicely around the ankle.
