I ordered these boots and returned them the next day. They were extremely stiff and walking in them caused a lot of pain to the tops of my feet. It was fine in the calf area, but if you have more "athletic" calves, you may have some trouble with these. They look great though. Too bad.

What a disappointment! These are great looking boots, but they're too short; my toes feel crunched against the edge. I'll have to return them and there's no half-size larger in this great color.

The boot is adorable. If it had only been comfortable I definitely would have kept it. The boot had little support and felt like it had a very thin, flimsy sole.

After months of comparison shopping for durable boots that would last me for years, I finally bit the bullet and purchased a pair of brown Tetra Launch boots back in January. For the first three months or so, I was quite satisfied with them. They are extremely comfortable, the color is gorgeous, and the style, while not conventionally elegant, attracted a lot of compliments. The soles were a little squeaky on marble floors when wet in the winter, but I guess that is the tradeoff for having a sole with a good grip. I also bought a tub of Doc Martens leather polish, which does wonders for erasing the scuff marks that these boots (and most leather shoes) tend to collect, so the boots still look brand new in that respect. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same of the zippers and soles. After a few months of moderate use (worn maybe every other day), the zipper on the right boot broke right at the ankle (where the leather has a dangerous tendency to slouch). My expensive pair of boots is now unwearable. And even before the zipper broke, the soles had started coming loose at the heels. So if I had been able to continue wearing them, they might not have stayed waterproof for long. I contacted Zappos about returning the boots and will update when I receive a response. Hopefully the customer service I have heard so much about will come to the rescue so I can afford to buy a more durable pair of boots come fall.

These boots had the look and feel of rainboots. I did not like them at all. In addition, they were quite wide for my narrow foot. Although the boot had an overall negative appeal, it seemed that it would offer just the right amount of arch support.

I wanted to love these boots, but the foot opening is very small and made it difficult to get my foot into the boot. After struggling to get my foot into the boot, I found that the calf area is not as large as I had expected. As attractive as the boot is, they had to go back. Maybe Merrell can fix the design defects?

I got these in a size 10, which should have been generous enough to give me the extra room that others suggested I would need. It hurt to get my foot in the boot and once it was in, I couldn't zip it up. Shame, because they look really cute too.

I found these when I searched for "wide shaft" boots. These are not "wide shaft" boots. But it would be nice if there were more "wide shaft" boots to choose from. And I'm not even plus-sized, so I can't imagine what a larger size would be called.
