Beautiful, size 9=40, comfortable foot bed, but my little toe is rubbed raw by the buckle. I'm hoping that softening the letter will help.

Way too big. I ordered my normal size and I think they are a full size to big. Returning them.

I love these shoes! I had a different style in size 39, and I sized down with these to a 38 based on other reviewers’ suggestions, but I think a 39 would have worked as well. If they run big, it’s slight. The shoes themselves are so comfortable - no breaking in required. I love the neutral taupe color and the wraparound ankle, they look great with everything. 100% Worth It.

I m a 6.5 and was able to wear both 36 (would probably hurt in long walks) and 37 in these ... not sure why people rave about them.. they are light, stylish look, but the leather is SO STIFF, I feel uncomfortable walking couple steps..will for sure give me blisters...have to return...

Comfortable and Stylish

Love these! They are super cute, comfortable and can't wait to wear them more. The ankle straps seem a little large and I have to use the very last notch, but they still look great and are comfortable. Being that they are Birkies, you do have to wear them in a bit but that was a painless process. (I had them for less than 4 days and was able to do a 3 mile walk in them without any blisters.)

Super cute and comfy. Will be great for traveling. I ordered the 38 (I'm normally a 7-7.5) but returned for the 37. Can't wait to wear these!

I recently discovered that I need to go from a size 8 1/2 to size 9 in regular shoes, due to both "maturing" feet and use of custom orthotics. I had a pair of Birk Arizonas, but had stopped wearing them a few years back due to the flip-flop design slipping as I walked. After reading reviews, I decided to get a size 39 in the Yara and am pleased that I did - my right foot is closer to the edge, but not uncomfortably so, the sandal provides good arch support, and I really like the fact that the straps keep the sandal snug on my feet as I walk.

My first pair of Birks. I think they look strange on my feet because they are so wide but I get lots of compliments on them!

I'm a size 8.5 and have narrow ankles and feet. The size 39 was quite a bit too large in the foot bed and the ankle strap was way too big, buckling in the front of my ankle. Overall, these just looked too big and clunky on me so I'm returning them.

These are so comfortable for all-day wear. They don’t rub or blister me at any of the straps. I’m also a size 16 and they fit my ankles and feet like a glove!

Trust the Birkenstock printable sizing diagram. I measure exactly 245mm, size 38 (7-7.5). I ordered my regular size 8 (39) and the 7-7.5 (38). The 38 fits perfectly, with the loose wiggle room recommended by Birkenstock. I also followed a recommendation to flex the sandals (over my knee) to soften the stiff sole. If you have trouble getting the straps comfortable, experiment with placement on your ankle and the order in which you buckle the straps. Love them!

I love these. When I first got them the ankle straps were tight. I by no means have large ankles. I’d say I’m pretty average, however had to buckle them on the very loosest notch and they were tight. I wasn’t sure at first if they would work. But I decided to walks around in them a bit to see if the strap would stretch. Within a very short period they began to start loosening and I could kinda fit a finger under the strap. At that point I decided I was going to keep them and hope. I’m glad I did. With all birks there is a break in period. I got through that, and some minor blisters where the strap across the foot hit the toe. The straps have stretched to where I could easily tighten to the middle notch if I wanted. I LOVE these sandals now and so glad I chanced it.

I wanted to love these, I tried, but my flat footed and bunioned foot laid in the shoes so that my 2nd toe in kept hitting the front lip of the shoe and made it a no-go for me.

I wear a size 8 US / 39 European size shoe and took the advice of the other reviewers to size down. I purchased this shoe in size 38 and it fits perfectly! I looked at hundreds of sandals online with the goal of finding a sandal that has a wide toe box, looks classy enough to wear to work with dresses and can be dressed down to wear with shorts/jeans, and has a comfortable foot bed. Gone are the days when I will wear sandals that have zero cushion and are seemingly made out of cardboard! These sandals fit the bill in all three areas - they are so comfortable! And they do look much cuter in person than as shown in the photos. I love them! I also purchased the OluKai 'Eheu sandal at the same time for comparison, and I ended up keeping both shoes :) The OluKai shoe is a little classier, is super comfortable, and can be worn for more formal occasions, but I also loved the Birkenstocks so much that I kept both!

Absolutely love these. I have them in multiple colors. True Birkenstock comfort and support with lots of style. I wear Birkenstock shoes and sandals because I have a Morton's neuroma , and they have helped me avoid surgery. The Yara are by far my favorite when it comes to style! I have used Zappos for years. The shipping is super fast and they have the best customer service around!

I wish these worked for me, but they're huge! My usual shoe size is 6 1/2, but I ordered the Euro size 36 (5-5 1/2) because most reviewers said to size down. Maybe because these are regular width and not narrow? The footbed is way too wide, the ankle strap is way too long, and I have big space of emptiness above my smaller toes.

The ankle strap was way too short, unfortunately these had to go back! purchased a pair of SAS sandals - much more comfort all over and perfect fit.

I love this pair of Birks. I have owned several over the years and these are the cutest. I can wear them for being outsidey and with a dress for a night out. That said - i needed to order a full size down. I'm typically between and 8 and 9, which would put me at a Birkenstock 39, but I went with a size 38 with these babies because there was so much space in the toe box and the heel. Mess around with the straps, walk in them whenever you can to help break them in, but I didn't have any discomfort with these shoes at all.

Loved the look but this style definitely runs big! All my others are 40 but these are just too big.

These sandals are fantastic! I got the tobacco color and they’re a nice, light color rustic looking finish. The foot beds are comfortable right out of the box, and I know they’ll only mold to my feet even more as I wear them! Cute boho style, go with everything, and perfect for summer If you’re a half size, the foot bed might be a little roomy, but the straps tighten nicely to keep them from moving around.

I love these already, and I only got them yesterday. They are adorable. They will definitely have to go through that Birk wear-in phase, as the strap around the ankle needs to soften up, but I have been wearing around work no problem. I might have to get myself another color!

Out of all the Birkenstocks that I have tried on these are my favorite and the ones that I ended up keeping in the end. This style seems more feminine than the rest with the ankle strap. The only downside is you can't just slip them on and head out the door. I also feel that the leather straps will hold up better so I am glad I paid extra for these! Overall these are very comfortable but the ankle strap did get some getting used to. As always Zappos customer service was surpurb and I had no trouble exchanging the mayari for these. I did put some leather conditioner on these to make them shine a little more and not look so distressed which is what they looked like when I took them out of the box.
