I wanted to love these, I tried, but my flat footed and bunioned foot laid in the shoes so that my 2nd toe in kept hitting the front lip of the shoe and made it a no-go for me.

I wear a size 8 US / 39 European size shoe and took the advice of the other reviewers to size down. I purchased this shoe in size 38 and it fits perfectly! I looked at hundreds of sandals online with the goal of finding a sandal that has a wide toe box, looks classy enough to wear to work with dresses and can be dressed down to wear with shorts/jeans, and has a comfortable foot bed. Gone are the days when I will wear sandals that have zero cushion and are seemingly made out of cardboard! These sandals fit the bill in all three areas - they are so comfortable! And they do look much cuter in person than as shown in the photos. I love them! I also purchased the OluKai 'Eheu sandal at the same time for comparison, and I ended up keeping both shoes :) The OluKai shoe is a little classier, is super comfortable, and can be worn for more formal occasions, but I also loved the Birkenstocks so much that I kept both!

Absolutely love these. I have them in multiple colors. True Birkenstock comfort and support with lots of style. I wear Birkenstock shoes and sandals because I have a Morton's neuroma , and they have helped me avoid surgery. The Yara are by far my favorite when it comes to style! I have used Zappos for years. The shipping is super fast and they have the best customer service around!

I wish these worked for me, but they're huge! My usual shoe size is 6 1/2, but I ordered the Euro size 36 (5-5 1/2) because most reviewers said to size down. Maybe because these are regular width and not narrow? The footbed is way too wide, the ankle strap is way too long, and I have big space of emptiness above my smaller toes.

The ankle strap was way too short, unfortunately these had to go back! purchased a pair of SAS sandals - much more comfort all over and perfect fit.

I love this pair of Birks. I have owned several over the years and these are the cutest. I can wear them for being outsidey and with a dress for a night out. That said - i needed to order a full size down. I'm typically between and 8 and 9, which would put me at a Birkenstock 39, but I went with a size 38 with these babies because there was so much space in the toe box and the heel. Mess around with the straps, walk in them whenever you can to help break them in, but I didn't have any discomfort with these shoes at all.

Loved the look but this style definitely runs big! All my others are 40 but these are just too big.

These sandals are fantastic! I got the tobacco color and they’re a nice, light color rustic looking finish. The foot beds are comfortable right out of the box, and I know they’ll only mold to my feet even more as I wear them! Cute boho style, go with everything, and perfect for summer If you’re a half size, the foot bed might be a little roomy, but the straps tighten nicely to keep them from moving around.

I love these already, and I only got them yesterday. They are adorable. They will definitely have to go through that Birk wear-in phase, as the strap around the ankle needs to soften up, but I have been wearing around work no problem. I might have to get myself another color!

Out of all the Birkenstocks that I have tried on these are my favorite and the ones that I ended up keeping in the end. This style seems more feminine than the rest with the ankle strap. The only downside is you can't just slip them on and head out the door. I also feel that the leather straps will hold up better so I am glad I paid extra for these! Overall these are very comfortable but the ankle strap did get some getting used to. As always Zappos customer service was surpurb and I had no trouble exchanging the mayari for these. I did put some leather conditioner on these to make them shine a little more and not look so distressed which is what they looked like when I took them out of the box.

I read through reviews and decided to get the 40 even though I normally wear 41 in the Arizonas Birkenstock. I love the style! I am still getting used to the pull on the ankle when I walk, but it's not uncomfortable. Overall I feel stylish and sexy while getting wear a comfortable, supportive sandal!

Very comfortable and stylish

I usually wear a size 7, however buying Birkenstocks before they tend to run a little large. I ordered the 6-6 1/2 and they fit perfectly! I love, love, love the Yard style! ?

Birkenstocks run a little larger in size so I sized down and they fit perfectly. They feel great on my feet and the ankle strap makes them a little more stylish!

They looked really nice but were uncomfortable. I’m going to have to return them.

They take a bit of time to break in around the front toe area, but I wore them right out of the box without too much trouble for a 6 hour day, mostly on my feet outside so they served me well. I bought them so I had a cute sandal with good arch support and heel cupping for my weekend activities which involve a lot of walking and hard concrete and my back and legs have not been sore since.

I'll start out by saying that, like others, I found the ankle straps to be way too short for my ankles. And no, I do not have cankles by any means! I was so disheartened because I seriously love the style and femininity of this model of Birks (I have always had Arizonas... going back to college 20+ years ago). I decided to risk my investment and stretch out the straps. Did a simple google search on stretching leather and soaked the straps ONLY in a big bowl of warm water about 15 minutes. Then just pulled on them, being careful not to pull where they are attached to the footbed. To my amazement, they stretched very easily and quickly. And when dried, they did not shrink back. Now they are loosely fitted around my ankle, sort of slouchy, like in the Zappos video. Now I LOVE my new Birks!

These sandals are very cool. Love the look and will get used to the way they fit. However, I am always a size 8. In this shoe I had to get a size 37. I ordered a size 38 due to most reviews saying how large these run, Birkenstock said a size 39- that would have been way too big. These are very long and wide, even the 37 regular width still feels wide, wishing I had ordered narrow width.. I returned the size 38 for the 37, no problem at all in returning, Shawn at Zappos provided lightning response to my order, upgraded shipping at no cost to me and made it simple for me to return the ones that did not fit. They are a statement maker and will wear these for years to come.

LOVE these sandals. They're cute and comfy! I did read reviews before purchasing and did go down a size. I have a pair of Mayaris in a size 42 and bought the Yaras in a 41. A fantastic sandal!

These shoes are cute but they didn’t work for me. The straps are are at an odd length which made the buckle end up close to the front of my ankle. The look was odd. The leather is also very stiff which made it difficult to buckle and move the straps. I’m returning them.

I have narrow ankles and the strap was not tight enough even at its tightest so they flopped when I walk. These also look cuter online. I think that people with an earthier style would love these but they're not for me, I'll be returning them.

First pair of Birkenstocks..... Love, love love this style. Was somewhat confused about the size to order after reading the reviews; however, I went with my normal size, and it turned out perfect. The ankle straps are fine — not too long or short. No break in period needed. I wore them all day the first day. Highly recommend!

The ankle strap is very long offering no stability. Had to return.

Love the style, love the brand. Unfortunately, this particular footbed felt very narrow. I simultaneously bought a pair of Gizeh in 39 which fit great. This shoe, however, felt much more narrow than Gizeh, even though it's a "regular" width. The middle/arch of my foot was hanging over the edge of the shoe. Would work great for you if your foot is narrower.

I like the look of these, and love the footbed, but they weren't as comfortable as I had hoped they would be. Something about the ankle straps and the way they feel when walking just didn't do it for me. I can't imagine walking any distance in them. I usually am an 8.5 - 9, but sized down to a 39, which was still a little large but close to the correct size.
