Fushia portions were damaged, so returned this item with regret. Gorgeous color.

When I received the sandles it appeared they had been previously worn. They were not in a Birkenstock box either. I requested to return the sandles for a refund. I was told the terms of the sale prohibited a refund and I would get a credit on my account. I said that didn't sound correct and she did not back off.

Quality of the shoes was great, however, they were two different colors.

I’ve been happily wearing Birkenstock for years …many styles. Having said that, these were so uncomfortable that I can’t believe it. I’ve only worn them twice…unhappy the first time and finally retried again today. They are just uncomfortable as the first time. I can’t wear them and don’t understand why so I just have to return them

I have been wearing this same style of Birkenstocks for many, many years, and just received my newest pair. Even though they are the same size I always wear (38) the footbed has changed, and is so narrow at the toe area that the toes on the outer part of my foot are hanging out!! This is both odd and disappointing. Holding them up to my older Birkenstocks, the footbed is indeed narrower and more 'pointy'. I am not sure why they changed the design, but these are not the comfy cozy Birkenstocks that they used to be!

Not very comfortable where the feet meets the buckle

I am probably a 9.5 shoe size, but normally buy 10s, partially due to width. I purchased these as a 10, and they are incredibly uncomfortable due to the sculpted footbed. As these are so quickly warn in, I was not able to return the shoe - as such, I cannot give them a good review at this time.

The fit was true to size. I thought the well oiled leather would be softer but it was very stiff.

I purchased these shoes as a gift for my son, every year I buy him a new pair of Birkies. He received them about a week ago but I had not seen them. They aren't black, they're dark navy! I called to let them know, and was offered an exchange, but they have been worn and the box is thrown away. Customer service gave me a $15 credit. Be warned!!! These shoes are NOT black!

The leather is stiff and cut into my feet (toes) in time and saddle soap they might soften up but for now, Thank you for free returns

I had the same issue as a previous commenter that my item came all scratched up and seemingly used. It looked nothing like the preview picture. I will be returning right away. For reference, I purchased the Tobacco Brown color.

Not nearly as comfy as I thought they’d be. Also, they really are ugly AF even more in person than on the internet.

Straps need more holes, especially the one closest to leg. Sent mine back.

My son (age 13) wears a men’s 9.5 I ordered size 42 to give a little room to grow. They don’t look too big. Adjust straps to allow how far you want your foot forward. This divides the extra space to both the front and back and they look perfect. I initially ordered 41 and his feet just fit in the sole. He could have a growth spurt next week and the 41 would have been too small.

Iknew right away something was off with the feel and it took a few day to realize that it was not a soft footbed.

I had gotten a pair of these about 5 years ago and they had finally worn out. I purchased the new pair and they are overall just big, except in the length of the foot.

I was really disappointed to see the inside of the right sandal was very scratched up, as if someone used a sharp blade. A brand new pair of shoes should NOT have razor-like scratches. Shame on you for sending these to a valued customer.

PAIN. Let me preface this review by saying I have very flat feet, and a surgically mis-repaired left foot. I only wear specific Hoka shoes now, but I ordered these after searching for best sandals for flat feet, and was convinced by the German brand and quality reputation. I could not put these sandals back in the box for return fast enough. Shock waves of pain came through immediately. These sandals look comfortable enough, but nein. Nein, nein, nein!

After reading the reviews on size and fit of this shoe, I decided to order the narrow and a size smaller. They fit well, but when I went to walk around, they were very uncomfortable. They are very hard, no cushy at all. I think my feet would be a wreck if I wore these for even just an hour! I was so disappointed because I've always heard that Birkenstocks are so comfortable.

The dye from these rubbed off on my feet! I’ve worn Birkenstock’s for years and this is the first time that has ever happened. The black oiled leather is more of a dark grey, not a true black. It appears Birkenstock has really cut back on quality.

Your size charts don't make sense. It would help if you had a picture of and actual shoe next to a ruler. Particularly for sandals. Mine came in for someone with really fat feet. Buckles on the tightest hole and they fell of my feet with no effort.

I had a pair of these 25 years ago. I thought it would be nice to get another pair. I knew that they took a little time to break in... But what I got surprised me. I chose the oiled leather thinking that this might be softer. But all of the leather was completely stiff and the edges of the straps were surprisingly sharp. When putting them on they immediately started cutting into the top of my foot. Ouch. Also, I chose the soft footbed. I have no idea what is supposed to be soft but when walking with these things on, there was no cushion, no comfort and the leather on the top cut into my foot. Honestly, my tiled floor felt softer than these things. In short, I would think that a $125 shoe should not have any one of these issues. Also, there is not enough "cool" factor for me to want to suffer through the breaking in of an uncomfortable pair of shoes.
