These are my 5th pair of Birkenstock, absolutely love these sandals ! They are so comfortable and healthy for your feet, easy to maintain.

I have been in love with birkenstocks this year. They are definitely my go to sandals. I wouldn’t say they are the most comfortable sandal I have ever put on but I never notice they are uncomfortable when wearing them (if that makes sense). I have worn them while walking a couple miles and they have never given me blisters or made my feet hurt. They also go with almost all of my outfits (obviously not my dressy looks). I wear 7 1/2 in Nike, adidas and I order a 38 and they fit perfect (no toes hanging out the front- my pet peeve). I highly recommend for a sandal that is comfortable, stylish and durable.

Super comfortable. A couple of things: Zappos lists these as unisex and gives two sizes: narrow and regular. I made the mistake of ordering regular because I don't have a narrow foot. The shoes turned out to be really wide (more of a men's size), and I had to send back and get the narrow. At other stores, rather than saying narrow and regular, they are listed as women's and men's. I wish Zappos would change this. Also, the black oiled leather is more of a slate gray, which was a very nice surprise.

My favorite shoe of all time. Literally 6 pair of different colors and finishes in my closet with a few more new in boxes waiting to serve my feet. I wear a 15 but the 14 (49?) fits perfectly IMO. This is the reason for so many pairs- I cannot ever find my size so when I do I buy several pair.

Perfect fit

I was a first time Birkenstock buyer and I can simply say you do have to put some time into deciding what is going to be the best fit & support for you. I wear somewhere between a 9 to 10.5 depending on the shoe brand so I knew this would require a few attempts to find the right fit. I tried several styles from the soft footbed to the regular. I tried on 42, 43 & 44 shoes and ultimately settled with the "narrow" in a size 44, even though I have never worn a "narrow" shoe. I liked the regular footbed, not the soft. And I will say that even with the 44/narrow with my shoe belts almost connected in the smallest hole, so these are still quite wide on my foot. I appreciate Zappos allowing the ability to make these decisions. I have been walking around in these shoes for a week now and can say they are extremely comfortable and light as air. Very happy to finally have my first pair of Birks!

Size 42 worked perfect for my son who wears a size 11 athletic shoe! I believe the website had noted that size 44 translated to size Men's 11 - 11.5, but perhaps that was for dress shoe!?!? Either way, if you wear an 11 tennis shoe, do not get the 44... get the 42!

I printed out a foot size chart from Birkenstock and chose the size based on that. 44, 11 medium. The fit is great. I really like the shoes.

The width is nicely snug with good support. This is my 6th pair. My last pair lasted 10 years, although I did rebuild the sole a couple of years ago. The last pair was faux leather. This time I sprung for the leather and I love them! The soles feel firm as they are new but I like how they support my frame. They are slightly long as I am between sizes, so once they are broken in they should be just right. I a have low volume foot so I am on the last hole setting. Keep up the good work!

I normally wear a 6/6.5 Wide in sandals and the 36 Regular Width was a perfect fit. I bent the sole before wearing as suggested and am breaking them in for only short periods of time, but they are very comfortable when walking. Love the oiled leather!

Let's be clear, I gave the Birkenstock Arizona's 5 stars for comfort even though they are not there yet, they still need to be broken in. Especially since these are leather. I am pre-giving them that score because my wife has a pair of Florida's, we are both the same size (41), and they are wonderful. I put them on to walk the dog real quick and it was a revelation! I ordered these as soon as I got back upstairs. Style-wise Birkenstocks have never been accused of being stylish, but they are so common that it's a non-issue. I don't and won't wear sandals to go out anywhere, but to take a quick walk to the supermarket, walk the dog, short trips like that? Yes. Especially after the pandemic, where I've been constantly in and out and removing my shoes constantly, these things are a must. I have a wonderful pair of leather sandals I use around the house but they are not good for walking any kind of distance, so they are solely to use at home, the Arizona's are for the outside. I highly recommend The Florida's and the Arizona's.

Absolutely love these sandals! I've purchased the mayari in pink and gray nubuck and absolutely love them both. I wear anywhere from an 8 in sandals to a 9 in sneakers, have a narrow foot and the 39 regular fits perfectly. Love the colors and how this style is more feminine. Footbed takes time to break in but the straps don't bother me at all. Overall so happy with these. Thanks Zappos for awesome service, as always.

The original footbed is the best! I bought these for my husband who suffers from plantar fasciitis and from Achilles issues. They look good and he says they feel great. He is a 12, bought the narrow. I found the wide footbeds are way too big for most feet (mine included).

Birks are tried and true. They've been selling these for decades. Hard to get it wrong. Sometimes hard to find sizes above 13, so get 'em if you can find 'em.

Admittedly I’ve long resisted Birkenstock’s. A large part of my resistance was centered in the notion, “they can’t be that comfortable…there’s no real cushioning”. I have a weird combination of high volume, high arches, Achilles issues and wide feet (EE). So after a failed return to soccer (post-vaccination) that had me visiting a podiatrist to get injections for plantar fasciitis that left me unable to really walk…the doctor recommended custom orthotics and either Oofo’s or Birkenstock’s for wearing around the house. Living in south Florida now, I opted for Birkenstock’s and measured my feet according to the instructions on their own website. After breaking them in (which really took about two weeks) I have been absolutely astounded at how comfortable they are. Are they as good as my orthotics? No. However, they are very comfortable and I’m quite happy with them. I’m even wearing them outside and for longer periods of time with no foot pain. Yes my friends make fun of my Jesus sandals, but whatever, my feet feel great in them. I tend to not write reviews, but I felt it necessary to share my experience. Don’t let your aversion to Birkenstock’s get in the way of comfort…your feet will thank you.

I’ve worn Birkenstock for years and love them. I have arthritis in my feet and Birkenstock’s are about all I can wear.

My feet measure exactly 25.5 cm, and a 40 using a Brannock device in a store, but these were 1cm too long (so the toe ridge and arch didn't hit me in the right place). I also bought a size 39, and that fits me perfectly - length, toe ridge and arch are all just right.

I'm a loyal Birkenstock sandal girl, and everything about this shoe was as expected. Well, except maybe the leather. I have the oiled Havana, and it just seems like a softer, nicer leather. I ordered this new pair because I needed a black sandal, and to not wear out the Havana pair too soon.
