I was hoping I could adjust them to fit my wide feet but no, my feet are too much for these sandals.

Nice looking shoe but a little stiff for me. I decided to go with another pair instead.

I had to buy these three times before I got the size right. They run about 1.5 sizes too big. I didn’t even end up liking the way they fit so I just let my mom have them... too embarrassed to return a third time.

The size chart recommended 44 for me (men's size 11), but it was too short. I would have been better off in a 45. However, I could not get used to the arch (and don't have time to break them in), so I will be returning them. Also, one of my heels seemed to be too narrow for the ankle strap.

These sandals felt very uncomfortable due to the combination of stiff soles and stiff leather. Maybe they'd feel better after "breaking them in," but I don't have the patience.

I've been buying this exact model in 40 regular for years. For whatever reason, this year's pair arrived with straps an inch shorter than normal. I am not sure if it was just a goofy pair or Birkenstock has changed things up. I plan to email them some pictures and measurements, so I know what is going on before I order a replacement pair.

I had to return due to them being too big, not true to size. Also they were not comfortable at all. Disappointed.

The back strap is not long enough to buckle.

Overall, the look is good, but for me the fit was not. These were too large. I would recommend sizing down for women. There is no arch support as well as an odd ridge under the toe area that felt uncomfortable. Sending back.

Very uncomfortable. Could not tolerate the break in period, but very cute.

Unable to put Sox on with shoes / leather to stiff, I think they would be better if it had a little heel lift. I’m working on getting them softer leather.

The fit was good, but the shoes started falling apart after only a few months

I wanted to love this but am returning them. The buckles do not allow for a good enough fit. If the straps had been velcro and therefore much more adjustable, these would have been a huge favorite.

The shoe was too wide. It was very uncomfortable and I needed a comfortable soft sole shoe because I am on my feet all day and needed a lot of support. My massage therapist referred these shoes for me and I am very sorry they didn't work out. I am so sorry but I think it is my feet rather than your shoe.

Ordered my normal size in Birkenstock’s. They have made the straps so short that it’s not even close to being able to buckle even if I added additional holes. My old birks have plenty of strap length. I don’t know what they are thinking! I guess I’ll look into getting my old ones resoled.

Zappos sent a semi used pair of sandals. The leather was scratched and creased. The straps were bent and creased. A foot print could be seen in the sandal. In the old days we would call this "Shopworn".

The upper strap cut into my instep painfully. I couldn't ever consider wearing these. I think it's because it's a unisex shoe; just doesn't work. Appearance is very heavy looking, leather is dark and unappealing. These would be great for my husband, just not for me!

I've ordered 2 pairs of these shoes and both came wrong! The first pair I ordered didn't even match, the left shoe was one type of leather and the right shoe was another type! What in the world. So I ordered another pair and returned those, the shoes came two days later and these shoes were super gross, clearly worn, the shoe was completely broken in, there was what looked like grease stains on the sole of the show and there was even noticeable wear on the bottom. Super gross, I was completely disgusted and appalled! I am a VIP customer and have been faithful to zappos for years, but I was extremely disappointed by the orders recently and am considering leaving zappos all together. Unless Zappos can make this up to me or fix this in some sort of way, I don't how I could order from them again.

I bought these shoes but upon receiving them was surprised at the poor, poor quality of construction. The foot bed was hard, the sole was slippery cheap feeling rubber, and the leather was thin and rigid. Not at all the quality I expected from Birkenstock. I'm not sure who would accept this level of quality, so wonder if these were made for an outlet store??? No matter, I'm sending them back.

These are really painful. They were nice for a couple days, but now there's some weird hard bulge poking into the ball of my foot that prevents me from walking in these.

The fit was just like it used to be, the comfort is another story. I have been wearing Birkenstocks for over 30 years and have never had a pair that felt so uncomfortable. The buckles were digging into my skin and it didn’t matter how loose the buckle was. The change was definitely for the worst. I ordered them right before vacation and just tried them on without walking in them, I couldn’t use them. If I saved the box I would definitely have sent them back. Will never buy again

I have owned Birkenstocks for at least 30 years, I’m assuming they have changed the way they are made I bought a new pair to take on vacation and they are so uncomfortable, I have always been able to wear Birkenstocks right out of the box and it felt like I’ve already worn them in, not this time. Unfortunately I threw the box out because I didn’t think I would have an issue otherwise I definitely wouldn’t keep them.

Love Birkenstocks for their legendary comfort and classic style. Was hoping to add the Milano sandal to my rotation but these are going back. This is the second pair of Birkenstocks I have purchased from Zappos in the past year that have had quality issues. This brand new pair of sandals has a defect on the right shoe, where the leather is pulling away from the sole. Clearly poor quality control on the part of Birkenstock or Zappos. Very disappointed. At this price, and for such a simple design, they should be flawless. Check your pair carefully upon receipt and make sure they are up to snuff!

These Birkenstocks are my very first. I have always wanted a pair but just never bought them. I am sorry to say these are too long and the leather straps across the the top of my foot are very rigid and have rubbed a blister on top of my foot. Sadly, I must return them, I am wondering if, perhaps the Rio style might be a more comfortable shoe for me since the strap across the top of the foot appears to be more distal, toward the toes rather than the arch. I ordinarily wear a 6-6.5 in women's shoes or a 4.5 in children's, so I ordered a 37. They are about an inch to long.

Overpriced and takes long to break in (seems at least 2 weeks needed of a one hour a day use before wearing for a longer period of time). After breaking in for a week and 10 hours of continuous use, ended up with scars on ankles and on top of foot where the buckles are.
