I hurt my feet when I wore them

The last pair of Bates desert combat boots I bought were the best fitting boots I thinks I've ever had. They were size 10, extra wide. I ordered the same size with these new ones and they didn't seem to come close, could barely get my foot in. Just looking at them, the length looked a little short, but the width looked totally narrow compared to other boots I've had. It seems the sizing system has changed since they started making Bates boots overseas. Otherwise, they seemed to be well made, nice looking boots. Had to return them because thee was nothing wider available.

These boots are truly awful. The protective toe cap digs into the side of your toes and foot and is very painful. If I could return them I would, but I'm deployed to Afghanistan and the boots are now "used". Do not buy these, serious design flaw.
