I love this boot! Ordered a half size smaller. They have formed to my foot after a few wearings. They look very rich and warm and go with skinny jeans just perfect!

I really wanted to like these. The pros: They are very comfortable! There's great padding in the footbed, and they felt perfect on my feet, like I could wear them all day right away if I wanted! The leather is beautiful. I got the vintage dark brown, which has reds and blacks in it. I thought it was very different, and I really liked it. It's obviously great quality, as I'd expect for the price. I like the height of the heel - it's easy to dress up or down. They fit true to size for me - maybe with a little extra room in the footbed. The cons: There's no shape to the ankle in this boot style. It makes my legs look like straight thick lines without curves. I don't like that. This is the main reason I'm returning them. The bottom of the sole is ridiculously slippery! I could actually skate across my living room in them, they were so smooth! I would be terrified to wear them outside. I guess if you really liked them you could take them to a cobbler and add on a rubber sole, but who needs that expense on top of the high price of the boot?

I'm always looking for a more stylish replacement for my Dansko shoes. These boots are closer than most but not quite there. I tried inserts, which made the boot too small. I will say they are getting much more comfortable the more I wear them. At first, they were really pretty painful. I love the way they look, as well as the quality. I am between a size 7.5 and an 8. The 7.5 fit perfectly. I can now walk a couple of city miles in them and they're fine.

I gave this boot 4 stars overall because of the fit. It could just be my foot because I think it\'s a best seller for Frye. It\'s a really cute boot, but my heel slips when I walk. It could be that it breaks in after wearing, but maybe not, and since I don\'t want to risk it, I am sending them back. I bought size 11 in these and a size 11 in the Carmen Harness short and the Carmen harness short fits great and seems to hold my foot in the boot a lot better. But the quality is good of course and the color is beautiful although a bit darker than expected. Perfect if you\'re looking for a boot to combine with neutrals or to soften a primarily black wardrobe.

Not for me...I found the style to be too "traditional" for my taste. I usually wear a 9 and I ordered true to size...8.5 would have been perfect. Right boot, the bottom of the shaft stuck out in the front a bit.(where the design peaks above the top of your foot.) No big deal though. I am 5 foot six, 150 lbs...yes, I have curves...boot fit just fine over calves but I just think they come up a little high on my leg and make me look chunkier. If you are skinny and taller, they would be a knock out. I exchanged for Campus 14L and love how they look. They hit perfect of the curve of my calf and look edgy! Zappos sent exchange overnight!!

I've been obsessed with the boots for a couple years and finally splurged. The Redwood was beautiful, but they were way too wide in the calf. I have muscular legs, but these had huge gaps in the back. It was too bad, because I loved the heel height and they were comfortable. They were also a good height. I sent them back and got the Jackie button instead. If you have wider calves, these will be good for you. If not, they look pretty ridiculous.

These boots are beautiful, but they are not true to size. I am a 7.5 and usually, 7.5 Frye boots fit perfectly; these were huge. And not just in the foot, the width of the shaft around my calves was giant. I have average to thin calves and I could fit thick socks and thick denim jeans inside these boots no problem. I am very disappointed because as other reviewers have noted, the boots are simple and gorgeous, especially the vintage brown. I know I could try a size seven and that would take care of the foot being too big, but I am afraid the width of the shaft of the boot will still be too large. Good luck.

Plain and simple: beautiful boot, but holy cow do they ever hurt! I found these really squeezed my feet, especially the right foot...it was so weird because the length was perfect as was the width of the shaft, but they are so narrow and stiff that they caused my toes to go numb. Even though I wore them, I called the folks at Zappos and of course, they credited a return for me because Zappos is awesome.
