I love these boots. I have wanted a pair of Frye boots for a very long time and finally got them for Christmas. This was not the first pair I ordered (I sent back 2 pair, thanks Zappos!) but when these arrived I had no doubt that I had found my boot!

I just received my boots in the Redwood color yesterday and they are gorgeous. Having owned 4 other pairs of Frye's, I decided to order a 7.5 instead of my normal size 8. I think I could've used my normal size; however I'm pleased with the fit since I know it will stretch more. The shaft is comfortable and I'm 5'7" with average calves. The footbed is where the narrowness comes into play. I might have the width stretched by a cobbler, but the length is good. Wouldn't recommend for someone with very skinny legs.

Great boots, Western meets fashion. I think that they look great with anything. I have small calves, about 13 ½ inches, so they are very roomy but I will wear them with skirts. I have ordered a 7 1/2 my regular size and thought that they might me a little big, so I got a 7 instead. I was wrong, the 7s were too tight on my foot, the length was still okay. I am keeping the 7 1/2, the color is gorgeous.

Comfy from the start. Pretty. Get many compliments on these. True to size. Definite Cowboy look.

Love these! They're comfortable without insoles, and I normally refuse to wear heels, but these feel great. The color (redwood) is gorgeous, goes with everything. Leather is thick and high quality. I can dress them up or down, and they don't look too cowboyish, as I was worried they would. I took them to my cobbler and added rubber soles, and had them stretched a couple places (I have larger calves, maybe 16" circumference). No blisters, no break-in time. I waterproof them with a spray rather than an oil, which would soften the leather. I think these will last for years!

This boot is absolutely beautiful and the Redwood color is perfect. I love how thick the leather upper is and the substantial leather sole. Unfortunately, the boot does not taper at the ankle and it looks too much like galoshes or wide boots. I am 5'5" and 118lbs, so they swallowed me. They would be great with jeans tucked in, but I wanted a casual tall boot that looked good with leggings also. Too wide for my skinny legs. The leather on the Frye Jane boot is incredible. If you are considering it, buy it and try it on at home. I wish it had worked for me.

These are my first Frye boots and I love them! I got them in the Slate leather and I can wear them with anything. People even stop me on the street to ask me about them. They can be worn with leggings, skinny jeans and with boot cut jeans too! They are so comfortable that I can dance all night in them. Favorite pair of shoes and I love shoes!

I love these boots! They were comfortable right out of the box. I've worn them with skinny jeans tucked in and have gotten compliments every time I wear them. I have had trouble finding boots that fit my calf (I don't have big legs, just not skinny calves), but these are great. I will get many years of wear I'm sure!

I love these boots. I have wanted them for a year and I finally took the plunge and ordered them. They are gorgeous. They are wide enough to tuck in skinny jeans or leggings, and narrow enough to wear with bare legs and a skirt or under boot cut jeans. I have received numerous compliments on these boots. They are just the right blend of cowboy and stylish. I wish I had bought them earlier. I can tell I will be wearing these boots for years. Very high quality. Simply stunning.

Love these boots! I have been searching for a pair of black boots with a solid, medium height heel that was not a stiletto and finally found them!

My foot slipped into this boot quite easily - having a high instep, I was concerned I would not be able to get the boot on. The heel height is perfect, and the boot shaft is tall with room to tuck jeans. Very pleased with my purchase. Quality boot - worth the investment.

I took everyone's advice and ordered a 1/2 size down. It worked out fine but one foot is difficult to get in; however once you have gotten down into the boot, it fits fine. These are very comfortable boots and very good looking. I have received numerous compliments. I would think if you had a high instep, you would have a hard time getting these on. Also, the shaft is not that wide and I may have difficulty getting a paid of skinny jeans to fit down in and I don't consider my calves to be fat either. On final note--the shipping was unbelievably fast! My kuddos to Zappos.

These are very beautiful boots! A nice dark brown, mottled color that will go with most anything. They are also surprisingly comfortable -- very like clogs, as a previous reviewer stated. And, as usual, great Frye quality.

These boots are wonderfully comfortable - slightly narrow in the calf though, nothing that the cobbler couldn't work on. They were able to stretch them a half inch and now they're perfect. They look great with pants and skirts and are versatile (as long as you don't mind the slight western styling).

I am 5’2” and have skinny legs. These boots fit a little loose around my calves and they hit right before my knee. I wear them with casual dresses and skinny jeans. They pretty much go with everything and I have got a lot of compliments. The leather is a little stiff but I am sure it will get softer with time. This is my second pair of Frye boots and I really love them!

I ordered these boots on Monday night at 10 pm and they arrived Tuesday morning at 11 am -- what service! These are fabulous! Love the color and the heel height is perfect for day into evening. Was hoping the calf width would not be an issue; it's not. I can't wait for the leather to soften to butter soft.

These are gorgeous boots! The boots were a bit tight around my calf, however, my local shoe repairman stretched them and they fit beautifully. These boots are comfortable and extremely versatile. I can't wait for the weather to cool down a bit so that I can wear them more.

Love them! And love Zappos even more. Ordered a 7.5 because many people said they ran large but when they got here Thursday I realized I couldn't get my foot down into the boot. Called CS at about 5 pm and they sent an 8 out overnight promising I'd have it Monday. Nope, overnight meant overnight I had them Friday and they fit like a dream!

I love these boots. Last year I bought my first pair in vintage brown, and today I just received them in redwood. These boots are as close to vintage Frye boots as you are going to get. They are beautiful and absolutely comfortable. I think next year after I get my income tax refund, I'm going to have to break down and buy them in black as well. I'm a very frugal person normally, but these boots are worth the price. They are my once a year splurge!

I ordered the black leather in a size 7.5. I'm normally a 7 in most shoes, even some Fryes, but tried on the 7 in the store and couldn't walk. The black is darker than pictured. I really like everything about the boot. I was initially worried that the wooden sole and stitching would look bad, but it looks much better in person. The boot comes up high on the leg if you are short. I am 5'2 and it comes up just below my knee. But they look great and the heel height is perfect. Comfortable after just a few wears.

Love these boots. Saw them in the store, not in my size and had to have them! I have been pining for and ordered the vintage brown, they look great, in an 8.5 and they were too snug, with morning feet. Returned them that morning, easy peasy, and got the 9 the very next day, and it fits perfectly. I'm 5'8". I am a first time Zappos customer and plan to buy another pair of these boots when I can. The customer service was outstanding, very patient with those of us not so PC savvy.

I LOVE this boot. I have received many compliments. I love the color because it is a reddish brown. I wear a size 5 or 5 1/2, so I ordered the 5 1/2 and it was a perfect fit.

Loved this boot! I liked it even more than the image I saw online. The beautiful stitching, great heel height that is not too low and not too high. Excellent fit around the calf area and the Redwood color is gorgeous. My only complaint is that the leather is quite stiff but I have several pairs of Frye boots and they do soften up over time/wear.I normally wear a 9 but the 8.5 fit me perfectly. Thanks for the great selection Zappos!
