Before purchasing I read about 100 good and bad reviews on the net. Overall it seemed this shoe runs a bit wide. Thanks Keen! I got 1/2 size larger due to reviews - oops! I'm a real 9, with a wide foot & 9 fits perfectly. Also my foot is almost square at the toes & this may make the difference. I've had surgery for Morton's neuroma & for a top of foot bone spur & these shoes are comfy. They aren't big clunky ungainly things. I can coordinate with my clothes (dresses or pants) & wear about town, traveling, light hiking, boating (if I boated!), and for light birdwatching walks. Can use barefoot or with light socks. [Whisper is not suitable for heavy hiking as they don't have the interior structural support that hiking shoes need & materials are not made to stand up to harsh surfaces or shear.] Based on the look and fit and how I love mine (3 pairs) & admiring looks, I recently got a pair on sale for a dear wide-footed friend's birthday. She's a vegan and the absence of leather will make this a gift she'll really enjoy.

These are amazing shoes and have really helped my feet. I've dealt with plantar fasciitis and achilles tendonitis for the past few years and my feet are so much better now. I wear these all the time and love them!

These shoes fit comfortably right out the box! I plan on using these for a trip to Europe this month. I'll write a followup upon my return.

Well constructed, built to last. Comfortable from the first day. The Caribbean Blue color is stunning! They run small, so order a half to one size up. Great shoe!

I absolutely love these shoes! I normally wear a 6.5 - 7, and the 7 was fine. I took them new out of the box on a 6-day vacation to Portland, OR and wore them every day. They never rubbed my feet or hurt at all! I was also really pleased with the jade green color.

These shoes are great, this is the second pair I have owned, comfortable and practical for walking, light hiking, getting wet. I wear them both with or without socks depending on weather

Love it! I wore them all day at a state fair, the first time I wore them. I have very sensitive skin on my feet and these leave no rub marks or blisters. Make sure to buy your regular size.

This is a wonderful sandal! I have bunions and plantar fasciitis, so my feet are very tender. I also love to walk and hike! I can walk for hours in this sandal as there are no virtually no areas that rub. It can be easily adjusted to be worn with or without socks. The arch support is moderate, so I purchased an insert at Walgreen's. I bought two pairs - one a half-size larger, so I can wear one with thicker socks, for serious hiking, and for Minnesota winters. Excellent sandal at a good price!

I wear my new sandals all the time because they are so comfortable. I can stomp through mud puddles and then just wash them off and they look like new. Zappos sent them quickly.

I'm always leery about ordering shoes online, mostly because of the size and quality, but ordering the Keen Whisper was a very good decision. Excellent quality, arch support and perfect fit!

I bought these shoes for a camping trip this past August. I wore these shoes every time we were in the canoe or when we went swimming and then around the campsite too. Not only were these shoes a fun color, I appreciated the sturdy soles for stepping on rocks. No slipping! Also, my feet felt warmer in a more enclosed shoe, even when wet. Cheers to Keen and to Zappos...this was a good purchase and I know these shoes will get lot of wear.

I have a hard to fit foot, when my Keens arrived I put them on and they were perfect. They are very comfortable and easy to wear. Very good walking shoe. Love them.

I love this shoe. There must be 7 pair of Keen's in my shoe closet but this is the brightest! Keen's are supportive for my feet. Highly recommend them.

Love these shoes! They are so comfortable and lightweight. I feel like I'm not even wearing a shoe, they are so light. Definitely great for hiking, where you don't want to feel like you're lugging your shoes up the mountain. I got the Dark Shadow/Ceramic Gray and love the color. It's a beautiful teal color and stays pretty clean when hiking in the dirt and elements.

These shoes come up high, like a sneaker with a lot of very good support, which is just what I need. When I put in my orthotics they are snug, especially on my slightly larger foot. Otherwise, the size 10 length and width is good. So I put small snips in the top cross piece on the one shoe and they are fine. Will be perfect for crawling around archaeology sites which is why I bought them. Good snug, rigid support with a flexible, gripping sole.

I absolutely love these sandals. From the minute I tried them on, I have never had a moment when they did not feel great. I own another pair that are just as comfortable, but they are an older style, with the large toe box. The Keen Whisper is a slimmer design and I prefer that look on my foot. This neutral tan color goes with almost everything I wear. I usually wear a 8 or 8.5 in size. I ordered an 8.5 and they fit perfectly. I am very happy with this purchase. I thank Zappos for hanging in there with me as I've returned many items previously and appreciated their "no problem, free" return policy.

I LOVE THESE SHOES! I gave them a 3 as far as style goes. They're not the cutest. But their practicality ups the style factor immensely! A lot of the Whispers are a bit manly in color, but I fell in love with the Irish Green/Neutral Grey a while ago, However, I was planning on asking for them for my birthday which is a few months away, especially since I was taking a trip and needed to pinch some pennies. Fate would have it that a week before my trip, I got on to Zappos.com and they were on sale! So, it had to be done right then. I got them within two days. They were perfect! I read reviews about sizing issues, but these were spot on for me. I'm a size 10 and they worked perfectly! The color was just bright enough to be girly, but not too bright to be obnoxious. (I looked at these on many sites prior to purchase - Zappos has the truest color match on their site.) The fit was perfect and they needed absolutely no break in time. The bungy core laces keep them secure. I wore them on my trip and they were perfect for the beach! Comfy and dried quickly!

Shoes are exactly as they look online. Extremely comfortable. Sized correctly.

I recently purchased the Keen Whisper shoes for an upcoming trip which will require a lot of walking. I am very satisfied with these shoes, since I have been wearing them to see how they work for me, very excellent. I can walk for hours and don't feel my feet at all.

I absolutely love my Keens! I just received my newest ones and love every pair that I have ordered in the past. But, the Whisper pair seem to fit my thinner foot width, the best. I live in them daily, they great for gym workouts, hiking then wash them off in the house they dry outside and put them on again. They clean up well. They wear very well with tons of support. I put my orthodics inside them and they do not slip out.

I bought these shoes based on reviews. I will be going to a very hot country and the reviews indicated this would be my best bet. So far so good. Although my trip is not until next year, I've worn these shoes for long walks in several cities checking them out. They are extremely comfortable and light weight. I'm not sure how they will feel in hot, hot weather. But I will definitely be taking these with me.

I blew out my old reliable Tevas while hiking in the mountains and needed a good hiking and water shoe. I also wanted one that I could wear in the city or to the theme parks so something with a little more cover. I tried on two sizes in two varieties of Keens because the fit is really important. These are expensive shoes and I want to get it right. I like the whispers but have yet to wear them all day. They are heavier and warmer than my Tevas but look more appropriate for wearing in a city. They don't have as much arch support as I would like but otherwise fit comfortably.

What can I say except I love this shoe. I love it so much I have it in 6 colors. I just finished walking for a week in DC and they do not need breaking in. To me the size and width are true sizes.

I love these sandals and wish I had purchased them before now. Like all Keens I ordered a 1/2 size larger. They do not look clunky like most sports sandals.
