I was looking for a pair of shoes for an upcoming trip to Italy anticipating a lot of walking. These shoes were too narrow; I have slightly wider feet, but not to the point where I wear wide shoes. My friend recommended this pair - she absolutely loves them. For me, the snugness was just too much and I'm sure my feet will swell as I walk for twelve days. I wasn't crazy about the style anyways, so I wasn't really that disappointed anyways. I found a great alternative: Teva Tirra. Similar support, cuter because they look more sandal-y, and the velcro will be great so I can loosen as my feet might swell as well as tighten if they stretch a bit.

Lace broke three days after receiving. Zappos sent me a new pair right away. I love the customer service! Rubber footbed is very warm for summer.

I would give these a 4 or 5, except I have bunions (so the stars more accurately reflect my experience with them) and my foot will not go (or stay) all the way in the shoe because of the way the straps sit across the foot. So, my feet always end up a third or halfway back in the shoe with my heel falling out of the back. Again, my structural defect, but for those of you with bunions, take note!

Would love to get a pair but they never come in larger sizes for women. A mans is just too wide. Love the look though. It is unfortunate to send a comment I need to fill in all the blanks since I have never tried tthe product.

I got 3 Keens to try - Newport, Whisper, and Venice H2. I'm looking for a good water shoe for an upcoming cruise. The Venice H2 were the best for me. The sizes in these shoes are so different. I typically wear an 8 or 8.5 (sometimes 7.5 in sandal) but these were off. In the Whisper, I had to go up to a 9 and they still made my feet feel constricted. I would not suggest the Whisper for anyone with wide feet. These were the cutest out of the 3 I tried, but unfortunately comfort is more important! The Newport had a higher quality and solidity than the Whisper, but they were a little too heavy. Seemed like a nice shoe though, and the 8.5 worked fine for these. The Venice were the most comfortable, while still looking somewhat cute. They are lightweight but still solid. The adjustable straps will be perfect for once wet. Zappos rocks! Look no further, this is the best online store!

These were great for hiking where we ended up in creeks and rivers a lot. One thought, though: they fit very strangely. The top part of the shoe felt tight and the heel was very loose. If I tightened it enough that my foot stayed in the shoe, the rest of my foot felt squeezed. It was fine when the shoes were wet but the rest of the time I felt like my feet were hanging out of the back of the sandals. It didn't end up being a problem but it's something to be aware of.

These were really cute, but did not notice they have plastic sole, so feet were sweaty even on a cool day. Walked for half hour and got blisters.

I have a wide foot, I had tried on the Newport style of the Keen's and the 10's fit very comfortably. When I ordered these they were long enough, but not nearly wide enough.

Very uncomfortable! I was so excited to finally get a pair of Keens as my children have worn them for year and the bottom has no support, they were hard on my feet and I ended up returning them. I'll try a different style.

No! Tell me it's not true! Keen, you've ruined yourself! I've loved Keens for the last 5 years, having finally found shoes that fit my short, wide feet. I could order a 7 in any Keen shoe and it fit like a glove. But I cannot jam my foot into this shoe no matter how undone the lacing is, it is so narrow. They finally made a comfy river shoe I could get away with at work, but they made it for Cinderella, not my hiking/gardening/running feet. I'm so bummed... I can't trust that a Keen 7 will fit anymore. Might have to go back to Birkies, which were never as comfy as Keens.

Love the color of the orange/pink, but this fit much smaller than my other Keens. I ordered same size as my old ones but these are very short. Need to go up at least a half size if not a whole size.

These shoes are comfortable and seem to fit well. My only concern is that there is not enough support in these shoes because of the wide gap between the straps on the sides. While wearing these shoes, I stepped on a rock, my foot rolled to the side and fractured right where the gap is. Since I've rolled my foot more than once in the past while wearing closed shoes without receiving a fracture, I feel the cause was the lack of support in that area on this shoe. For that reason, I can't recommend them and am afraid to wear them again.

Believe it or not, these Keens run both narrow and tight--odd for Keens. I really like the styling, but in order to get a pair wide enough, I had like an inch of room in the toe, and the arch hit in the wrong place. It's partly that they run narrower than other Keens, but partly that the webbing is unusually tight--they were squeezing the heck out of my (very skinny and bony) feet. The other thing that felt uncomfortable was that the cinch came up too high at the front of the foot, and there was no way to get the shoe to the right tightness without choking the ankle. I bet they'll work for people with feet too narrow for ordinary Keens, but these are going back.

My kids have worn Keens for years and love them. They never seem to wear out and while I will say they get smelly, you toss them in the wash with a load of laundry and they are as good as new. I needed a waterproof shoe for a kayak trip and this was the obvious choice for me. I tried the Whisper and Newport both in a 9. The Newport fit true to size but the Whisper felt a little small. My heel felt like it was almost off the shoe but my toes felt fine. I reordered the Whisper in a 9.5 because I really preferred the style over the Newport. When it arrived the heel felt OK, but there was way too much room in the toes but the deal-killer was that it was too tight in the instep. I have a very high arch so maybe someone with a lower arch might not have this problem. So I am returning the Whispers and keeping the Newport. Kudos to Zappos on shipping. I ordered the first two pairs on Monday and they arrived Tuesday evening. Immediately after realizing I needed the next size, I went online and placed the order (about 7pm). Again, the shoes arrived the next day!

The fit just isn't right. Even though I have too much room in the front, my heel is always falling off the back of these. I have tightened the heck out of the elastic to try to fix this, but it doesn't work. The elastic and plastic tightener thing sit right on your bare skin, too, which is uncomfortable. It makes it hard to walk uphill! They seemed to have so much potential.

Good but bad. Great, comfortable shoes. But they used very poor quality thread to stitch them together. These shoes were seriously falling apart within four months. But Keen replaced them for free. But their email customer service was pretty unresponsive But they're great on the phone. Your call. The entire process took me several attempts and almost a month. But good shoes!

These shoes fit great and are very comfortable. I have had them for just a few weeks and they are already starting to come apart in 4 places - on either side of both ankles.

OK these shoes are so so comfortable. I can walk one hundred miles in them. I am a professional hitchhiker and I live in an extremely hot climate. When I get home in the evening and take them off my feet smell so bad. I mean the smell is insane. I have to soak my feet in soapy water before getting into bed. Inside the shoe it is written anti-odor. These are the smelliest shoes I have ever owned.

Whisper works - Very comfortable, though the support is less than the Newport. True to size, finally. Keen has been letting me down recently, with less support, and ending my favorite styles (Providence clogs). Glad to finally find a pair I like.

No arch support at all. Very disappointing. Should have returned.

Even though I loved the look of KEEN Whisper, they're going back. They were snug especially around the front toe and uncomfortable when walking in them. They were stiff, squeaked, and smelled like rubber which were all a no go for me.
