I have these same shoes and love them for their arch support. These shoes (2 years later) have no arch support. Very disappointing!

This shoe was way inferior to any other Keen product that I have. Virtually no arch support, no cushioning in the pad, loose backstrap. Just not as well-made as the Newports. Sent them back. Too bad as it was a good sale price but I’m guessing that’s why the reduced price.

I want to like Keens....but some how they make my foot feel like all my weight is on my heel, and my toes are curved upwards. Very strange feeling ...and you end up walking like a duck. So, I will return them.....

I love Keens they have been keeping my feet happy for years. I have had two other pairs of this style sandal that have lasted me about 7-10 years . They are finally wearing out so wanted to get new ones. They are not like they used to be. My previous ones in this style fit better and did not rub on the outside of my ankle. Sadly I will not be keeping these.

I own 4 pairs of this style Keen, so when I ordered the same shoe in black I expected it to be the same as the shoes I've purchased before. Nope. This shoe in black was so narrow my feet hurt horribly after an hour or so. I even tried getting them wet and stretching them - usually that works when they are a bit snug. I think it's the fabric the bands are made of on this one. Unfortunately I'd already worn them outdoors, and couldn't return them. So, someone at our local thrift store is about to get a brand new pair of not-so-cheap shoes. I am very disappointed and now a little hesitant to order the style again.

I'd love to give this pair 5 stars, but I can't. These don't fit at all like my former beloved Keen Whispers I wore as a daily shoe for 2 years. (My dog decided to smorgasbord all the shoes in my closet at once, so slowly building my shoe collection back up). This pair just feels super tight, and my feet were absolutely killing me at the end of a long day of walking around DC. I normally wear anywhere from an 8 to a 9.0 depending on fit. I ordered an 8.5 to start, returned because they were way too small, then received an 9.5, which is fine lengthwise, but seems really narrow at the widest part of my foot, and my arch doesn't seem to hit the shoe bed in the right spots. I've worn them daily for 2 weeks hoping that they maybe were not broken in, but my feet are not feeling any better. So sad.

Keen, what the heck?!! I ordered these looking forward to the great arch support and wide toe that I have come to treasure in Keens, but they appear to have given up on those things. Big disappointment.

Have never worn Keens, ordered an 8.5 and a 9. I usually wear 8.5/9 narrowish. The 8.5 was a good length, the color - Rododendron/Marsala was great! The shoe looked horrible on my foot, very large toe box, so I am returning - Thanks Zappos for making it so easy!

I loved the look and weight of these sandals, but as soon as I slipped them on I knew they wouldn't work. I have severe pronation and these sandals did not provide any arch support for my foot. I have other Keen sandals and love them but this did not work for my foot.

Ugh... I was so disappointed. These felt like a Keen knock-off. The fabric webbing was kind of cheap feeling and looking, the sole was lightweight and there was no arch support. The shape of the shoes were rather boxy and stiff. So sad I have to return.

Very disappointed with the feet of this shoe since it was touted a shoe for people suffering with plantar fasciitis - the left show especially was very uncomfortable in the ball area.

I tried on three different sizes and my heel hung off the back in all three. Not sure why my foot won’t go to front of shoe. I have very narrow feet. Was really hoping these would work because the arch support looked good.

What in the heck happened to the comfortable footbed that I got with my other Keen Whispers that were exactly like the news ones right down to the color. It’s like walking on concrete. My other pair were great. So soft and comfortable. These are not going to work. I was so looking forward to wearing my wild socks with these. Keen, You really messed up!

We have been loyal Keen Whisper customers, buying both from LL Bean and Zappos. They have really been great for my kids at camp and school where it is very hot but where open toed shoes are not permitted. They have been on countless vacations and have protected their toes while biking. I placed our annual order, keeping in mind to order a half size bigger based on other reviews and there was plenty of room length wise. Unfortunately, neither of my kids could get their toes into the toe box. The arch area of the shoe was very narrow and they both have a narrow feet. Sending back and saying goodbye to Keen. These shoes are too pricey anyway.

I have a narrow foot, but usually have great luck with Keens. This particular style, the Whisper, the tongue is shorter than where the pull strings rest. It seemed that the strings would be directly on my foot and would be uncomfortable. I returned them to try a different style. I'm not sure if it's the way they are made, or because I have a narrow foot and thin ankle. If you zoom in on the picture, you can see how they are nearly the same height on the ankle, but once on the foot, the tongue rests secure and the pull strings come up higher.

I am looking for a pair of sandals that I could wear on long walks but it won't be these. My feet are prone to blistering so I need something comfortable. These sandals seem well made, but the left shoe fit strangely -- tighter than the right and my little toe was peeking out between the straps.

While the catalog does say order half size up, if you wear a 10 you do not have that option as they do not make 10 1/2. I ordered the size I own in other Bean shoes and have to return them. Disappointing.

The Keen Whispers were absolute torture on my feet. I ordered them for our Disney World trip and by the end of the first day, the side straps that are located just above the arch were rubbing into my feet so bad that I got blisters. This is not my first time wearing Keens and I normally wear the Venice but my older pair was too worn. My regular shoe size is a 6.5M and in the Whisper, I had to exchange and go up to a 7M. The shoes were too narrow in the arch area and because of that pain, I didn't even notice any footbed comfort. Now I am stuck with a pair of uncomfortable shoes because I wore them around for a day at one of the parks -- I don't want to keep these shoes! I ended up switching to my Birkenstocks for the rest of the trip but that defeated the purpose of having water-friendly shoes because it rained off and on all week. The Keen Venice is probably a more width-friendly shoe because the Whisper didn't work for me.

Tried 3 times to get the right color/fit. I usually wear between a 7-7.5, so I ordered up one size, in the light brown color. My heel went over the back. I ordered an 8 in the same color, the color that arrived was dark chocolate brown, and my heel barely fit. So, I ordered an 8.5 in the Magnet/neutral gray. The color is fine, my heel fits on the shoe, but my foot moves around too much. Found a similar pair of Clarks, 7.5, which are the keepers. Thanks, Zappos, for your fantastic return policy.

Great shoes! Very comfortable shoe, could have more arch support, but overall very comfortable. The first time I wore them I was walking in them most of the day without any discomfort usually associated with breaking in new shoes.

This style of Keen made my heel sit at the way back of the shoe, and felt like my foot was hanging off the end. I tried two sizes and they both felt the same. There's something about this particular style that doesn't fit my feet quite right. I'm disappointed because I really wanted to like these shoes. I have a pair of Venice Keens that I've adored for over 10 years and was hoping to replace them with a newer style of Keens. I'm older now, and my feet have changed with age and childbirth, so my shoes need to work harder for me. I plan to purchase the same style of Keens I have now, but an updated color.

Definitely wear these around the house for a while before going outside. This shoe would have been great except for one major flaw in my opinion. The way the back is made makes it very stretchy and my foot kept slipping towards the back of the shoe. The ribbon around the back of the heel is allowed to slide through a bypass (see just above the Keen logo on the ankle), which makes it easy to stretch to get on and off, however it also stretches when you're wearing the shoe. I fiddled with tightening the drawstring, but that only cut off the circulation to the top of my foot but didn't do anything to prevent my foot from sliding to the back of the shoe. This is why I don't wear slip-ons. I always feel like my feet are sliding out the back of the shoe. The arch support felt good, the width felt good, and the length felt accurate for the size.

These were terrible :-( They pushed my foot out. I've loved my other Keens but these are just too narrow and they don't stay on your feet. Other friends had similar problems with this line. They were cute and lightweight so I really wanted them to be my new go to sandal, but they were never winners. Perhaps with a narrower foot or a different arch, but they did not work for me and were a disappointment. They only want you to whisper about this shoe. My friend had the Whisper Slide and tried to give them away to me because they didn't fit her feet right either. We are both Keen fans, but not Whisper fans. I was sad when this was the only women's sandal option at the Dick's Sporting Goods in my region. It really doesn't do Keens justice.
