Did not fit my very narrow feet. The story of my life when it comes to shoes.

Narrow, not like my old pair, ordered up and cannot wear socks with this new version, very small opening to insert foot, no longer a keen fan!

I purchased these sandals to replace an ageing pair of Keen Venice sandals (sadly, discontinued). In comparison, the Whisper is more "feminized" - narrower and a little longer, and less substantial (thinner, more flexible sole) than the Venice. This model would probably work fine for someone with a foot narrower than a typical B width for everyday wear but probably not for light hiking or fun in the woods.

I wear a consistent 8.5 in a street shoe, and 9 in athletic shoes like running or hiking, so I tried both sizes. I didn't feel any arch support whatsoever, although the heel has great cushioning without feeling too soft. I found the Keen Newport to have a very flat toe box that rubbed the top of my toes, but this Whisper just rubbed the top of my big toenail so they seem to have a bit more room if that helps anyone else. Also, the Newport's heel strap was so short it shoved my foot into the toe and left a lot of sole hanging off under my heel, but no such problem with this Whisper. Unfortunately, one of the straps of the 8.5 cut right across my pinky toe in a way that would produce a blister in no time, and the size 9 was just too long. Returned, and off to search yet again for a sport sandal!

I thought it was going to be the perfect sandal but, darn it, it wasn't. It just was not comfortable.

I have had a Whisper pair for years that fits perfectly. This pair is completely different as to the size of the opening. I could barely get my foot into the shoe. The opening on my old pair is at least 2 inches larger than this new version of the Whisper.

Keen must have changed how it sizes its shoes. I have a pair of these sandals that I bought 2 years ago and these are a 1/2 size shorter and considerably narrower.

I love Keens...and am a true 8.5 shoe size, but this shoe cramps my toes to the point that they are uncomfortable to wear. I would like to exchange them for a size 9.

I love the rainbowy tie die colors and the concept of a water shoe that's closed toe and has adjustable straps AND meant for all day walking. However, minus one for the design... somehow my pinky toes hit between the first and second set of straps closest to the toe, which means the top of my toenail is constantly rubbing against the strap. I'm afraid one wrong step and I'll rip my toenail off. The other minus one star is that even though it's all straps, my feet feel really warm and slightly sweaty after wearing it around the house. It seems less breathable than walking around with socks on which I don't understand, so it'll be a pass. I'm probably going to go back to my Teva Tirra. I want a closed toe (this was a purchase to use as Disney World) but Keens isn't working for me (Rose is too long, Whisper has odd straps, and Astoria I didn't care for the style).

Recommend going a half size up

I'm normally a 7.5 but my toes touched so they felt a half size too small. Cute, not great arch support though (compared to the Keen Newport style.) But these are a nice quality shoe.

HURT MY FEET RIGHT AWAY

I wanted to love these shoes however they felt really narrow and tight and I don't have wide feet.

Jury is still out. I have a pretty high instep and these sandals are tough to put on. The right one feels very tight after wearing it for an hour. Just not sure they will stretch out enough to be comfortable.

These are not the same Keen sandals I ordered some years ago. I don't recall the style name (Newport?), but they're more substantial than this shoe. The Whisper is cute but doesn't offer the comfort, stability and support I'm looking for.

Zappos sent us the wrong shoe and wrong size but the shoe looks good and we’re ordering again in hopes of really assessing the shoe. Will update if we get the right order

The sizing and sole of the sandal was good. But the straps were really awful! Rubbed my right ankle raw when I wore them. You can't adjust the strap that goes around the ankle even though it looks like it in the photo, and it has no give to it at all. It kept hitting and rubbing on that boney area. I put moleskin patch on the strap but that didn't work very well and kept falling off. I still have the blister it made days later. I ended up donating them they hurt so much.

These were a bit long and too wide for my feet. Maybe I didn’t need to follow the advice to size up a half size. I wanted to like them, but the flat sole was more casual than I wanted, since I was looking for something that could do double duty. I will have to remember that KEEN are for wider feet or that I should order my size (8.5). I might like the Newport Retro though which have thicker straps.

I normally wear a 6. After reading some of the reviews here, I ordered a half size up (6.5) and they fit perfectly. My feet are wide in the forefoot, and I often have trouble finding shoes that fit, but these were great. No tightness in that area. I am the kind of person that prefers comfort over style. I personally like the design and color (taupe/coral), which looked just like the pictures. However, the one and only reason why I have to return these is that the part of the shoe that is just below the outer ankle bone seems to be slightly too high for me. I can feel it pressing more than is normal there, and I am worried that this will never go away, or worse, chafe and blister. I usually never have this problem with shoes though.

These sandals were too narrow in the toe box for my slightly wide towards the front feet. Keen's use to be so roomy in the toe box. The search continues!
