I had a pair of these Keen Whisper in another color. The moment I put them on was great, no break in, so I can here and got the black pair-couldln\'t find them at our local shoes stores. I wear them all the time, will wear them into the fall for sure. A great pair of Keens!!!

Excellent shoe, very comfortable. The Whisper is a narrower version of regular Keens (which were way too wide). The Whisper is more of a normal width.

I have to join in with the other great reviews and agree that I absolutely love this shoe. This is my first pair of Keen shoes. I ended up choosing the Whisper because they are not as big and clunky-looking as some of the other Keen shoes. I found the shoes to be true-to-size. I live in NYC and needed a comfortable pair of shoes to walk around the city and I didn't want to wear sneakers. I walk 80 blocks a day, several times a week. After the shoes arrived (thanks to Zappos for the overnight shipping!), I put them on and they were fantastic for my walk. There was no break-in time and I have not gotten any blisters from the shoes. I recently went to the UK for two weeks and took the shoes with me. They were perfect for walking around London, and we did a lot of walking. We did a lot of walking one particular day and my feet were a little tired but not as achy as they have been with other shoes. I am not much of an outdoors person, but I am glad that I had these shoes with me during the trip. I ended up hiking up a hill in the countryside, visiting the beach several times (where there were lots of pebbles), and joining my toddler in various water situations that required shoes unless you wanted to walk barefoot on pebbles. For everyday life, the shoes are great for just slipping on and heading to the park or playground with my son. And if I have to go in the sprinklers, I don't have to worry about my shoes.

These sandals need to be tried on. I wear a half size smaller than my "usual" size, my sister wears a whole size smaller, and my sister in law wears her usual size. I love the way they fit, once you find the right size.

The Keen "whisper" is a great shoe --- it is a cross between a gym shoe and a sandal. You get the comfort and support of a good atheltic gym shoe with the air circulation of a sandal.\r\n\r\nI have wide feet (usually wear a wide or ww) and didn\'t think this shoe would work for me. However I read another review that said the sandal worked well for a fellow wide width shoe gal and thought I\'d take a chance. \r\n\r\nI did think it was a bit "pricey" for a sandal --- let\'s face it there are cheaper ones out there. However, after having some trouble with my knee I decided I needed a good shoe with better support.\r\n\r\nI\'m glad I took a chance === no break in time, the shoe is very comfortable, I get the look of an up to date shoe, with the support I need.\r\n\r\nI wore it on vacation --- in and out of boat, walking, shopping, etc and can say I never complained of sore aching "dogs."\r\n\r\n

What can I tell you about the Keen's whisper. I ordered because I was going to San Francisco and knew that I was ready to go up and down hill. Let me put it this way: I walked from Sausalito across the Golden Gate bridge! No one blister! I have other Keens, but I have narrow feet and this style fit me perfectly. In a scale 1-10 with 10 being the best, I give this shoe a 20! Love it!

Love this shoe! I'm a big fan of Keen and have several styles, but have found my original Newports too heavy except for serious hiking of rocks and crossing of streams. My mother-in-law bought the Whisper for tooling around town, and I had to have a pair. They have lived up to all my expectations, as did Zappos, once again, and I have been traveling with them all summer. They are much lighter and less bulky than the Newport, and have a cute, sandally look. I got them in black and grey and I wear them with black pants, jeans, and shorts and short skirts for walking around town. They have been awesome in the rain and, as always with Keens, there was no break-in time. My mother-in-law swears by her black/grey ones, too. Keen does it again!

I ordered these shoes in advance of a canoe day trip and couldn't have been happier with them. They arrived next day with the standard shipping option (Zappos is fantastic like that) and required no breaking in. They're lightweight, sporty looking and couldn't be more comfortable. I highly recommend these shoes for anyone looking for something more supportive and safe than flip flops for outdoor activities. The only negative, which others have commented on already, is that they do have a weird odor right out of the box, but it goes away quickly. This is my first pair of Keens and I would absolutely recommend this brand.

Awesome shoes! Adjustable, light, airy, great for "hiking" as long as there aren't a lot of sticks and stones that can annoy your feet. Fine for playing golf. Incredibly comfortable for my difficult feet, both of which have neuromas. The sole is supportive, but still very cushy and flexible. Zappos service was unbelievable. I ordered these shoes about noon and they were on my doorstep early the next afternoon.

I love these shoes. I saw them in Hilton Head, SC, but they didn't have my size. I like the way they look and took them on a trip to Minnesota. Went kayaking and had to get out after stalling on a rock, so the shoes were perfect! They dried quickly, so wore them home on the plane. Would recommend them highly to anyone for travel and play.

Absolutely amazing! I have a pair of older Keens (H2?) I already loved, and I didn't think there was much room for improvement, but these are phenomenal! They are slimmer. I have a wide foot and these fit so much better than the old Keens. The toe is more streamlined, too. It no longer looks like a clown shoe. These are more flattering on a bare leg and hipper with jeans. Bottom tread and gripper rubber is a big improvement. Old pair was useless on slippery mud or rocks but these have deep tread. Arch support could be better. With slight plantar fasciitis, I probably won't wear these for long, athletic walks.

I love these shoes, they are so comfortable! They have already become filthy in the mud, but I washed them and they look like new again. I am extremely pleased.

These shoes are great. I bought them for a trip to Disney World. I did not have any problems with any rubbing or blisters at all. I walked and walked all day and never found the shoes uncomfortable. The shoes are very light and I feel true to size. I do agree with some folks that their small toe may come out the side opening. I did not have this problem but some other folks may. I guess it all depends on the shape of your foot.

I purchased these shoes for my fiance and she loves them. I have the men\'s counter-part Keen Sandal. Now we both can enjoy our little outings in comfort and keen style. They are great for many outdoor activities as well as casual wear. A great purchase indeed.

Thank you Zappos, once again you prove yourself awesome. I ordered these shoes on a Monday hoping to have them by Friday and they came Wednesday. By Friday they felt like they had been in my closet for months or years. They are so immediately comfortable. They are light and airy. The only time I have noticed the footbed getting a little sweaty was on a 2 mile hike. Super comfy and I get compliments on them. My only MAJOR complaint and take this as you will, is that I did not know before hand that they were manufactured overseas. I am making an overall effort to buy American made, so recommend Chacos!

Zappos rocks! I ordered my shoes on Thursday night at 9:00 p.m. and they arrived on Friday at 10:30 am and that was the day before July 4th! Great service and fast delivery!

I love Keens and decided to try these because they looked a bit less clunky than some other styles. I found them to run slightly narrower through the mid foot than some other Keens, but loosening up on the bungee was sufficient to make them comfortable. Otherwise, I ordered the same size as I usually do in Keens and the length is fine. They are just a little lighter and less supportive than some other models, but I have worn them all day when on my feet on hard floors a lot and been comfortable. They still look light sport sandals rather than "cute" shoes, but are more attractive than many other similar types of shoes.

OMG!! I AM IN LOVE LOVE LOVE WITH THE KEEN WHISPER!!!! Finally the PERFECT shoe for a Chicago summer on the lakefront with 2 kids! I can not believe how comfortable they are right out of the box! Soft, pliable, supportive, and way more streamlined than other Keen styles. The Beet Red is gorgeous, not too bright, but a fun and funky color. I cannot take them off, and I have hard-to-fit feet! I am a 7-7.5, the 7.5's fit like a glove with a bit of wiggle room in the toe box. I have a wide foot, relatively low arch, and a very, very narrow heel. These are perfection as you can tighten the heel-ribbon within the bungee! Will absolutely be able to walk miles in these in total comfort. I never thought I would be caught dead in Keen's but I am a total convert now! I did have to return a defectively uncomfortable pair of Keen Newport Canvas in Amaranth, and am so glad I decided to try these instead. New pair in my hands 24 hours after the rejected pair arrived, and all I had to do was relabel the box and hand the old pair to the UPS man! I could gush on and on! Just BUY THEM! Worth ever solitary cent! You will NOT regret it!

Shoes ran small for me so I ordered half a size larger. Fit perfectly! I love these shoes! I bought them to wear for a weeklong trip to Disney World and they were wonderful! Extremely comfortable!

After five months of wearing this shoe, I have to report complete satisfaction in everything from comfort to fit to lack of smell (they advertise the antimicrobial qualities). I have both the Sydney mary jane, and the Newport H2 and had worn these nearly exclusively for over a year. I was concerned the Whisper would be too light and not offer the support of the Newport. Instead, the Whisper offers a spongier footbed, a lighter feel and a "barefoot" quality I didn't expect. I don't like going barefoot because my feet don't have support and feel weaker than in a shoe. The Whisper offers the support and protection without being noticeable. Now, my Newports feel hot and heavy and distinctly different (better for more strenuous hiking rather than around town). I don't notice the Whispers at all, and wear them for long 12 hour days on hard concrete (I'm a winemaker). I can hose off my feet. My toes are reasonably protected. They are light as air. And, my girlfriends comment on how cute they are! What's not to love?! Thank you again, Keen.

These are great sandals. I have hard feet to fit, and usually find that any pair of shoes starts to hurt after about a half hour or less of wear. These not only felt fantastic from the start--with a well cushioned sole--they continued to feel fantastic throughout two weeks of travel that averaged eight miles a day of walking. Highly recommended.

I absolutely love my Keen Whisper sandals. They are so comfortable on my feet but good for sports as well. I ran agility courses 4 days in a row (8 runs) with my very fast dog and felt more secure than I do in athletic shoes. I love the coverage in the front as I am one who is always picking up stones in any open toed shoes.

I have narrow feet and I've been looking for a sandal/sneaker combo on and off. These felt great when I tried them on, and I'm still really happy now that I've worn them a few times. Because the "body" is stretchy and because of the laces, they work for my skinny feet; I don't feel like I'm swimming in them. I've worn them for a long day of walking at a festival and found them breezy and comfortable. I'm really happy with them. I bought them in my street shoe size (lengthwise) and the M width was OK.

These shoes felt like they were made for me from the first minute I put them on. They are true to size and as comfortable as an old pair of running shoes.
