I am a women's 8.5 and ended up ordering a half size larger than the website recommended. The 5.5 (women's 8.5) was way too tight to be comfortable, so I re-ordered the 6 and am very glad I did. I love the look of these boots and they are super comfortable right off the bat, except the back of my right leg where the top of the boot hits has experienced soreness and rubbing. Tall socks have helped and I'm hoping it will break in over time.

These are classics and surprisingly waterproof. They do eventually stretch out a bit and look a bit more rugged and less stylish over the years, but they last forever, and when they start looking less sharp, they transition beautifully from everyday "town" shoes to reliable work shoes.

I have been wanting a pair of Blundstone's for years and finally decided to try a pair. Alas, I could only just barely get my high-arched-foot into them with no socks. I tried a light weigh wool sock and was able after a mighty struggle to get my foot in, I had to have help to get the boot off. Forget warmer, heavier weight wool socks. Once my foot was inside, the boot felt fine and there certainly was room for the lighter sock. I hesitate to try stretching the instep as it might not work.

I had read that the 550 series was wider than the 500s. They were exactly the same, which for me meant that they aren't wide enough.

I love these boots. I'm an organic farmer. I bought them to use a farm boots in not-super-wet weather (everyday work). I first bought the 500's but found them to be much more difficult to get on and much stiffer (due them not being lined with leather like these 550's are). I exchanged them for the 550s and I'm so glad I did. These are just gorgeous boots. I almost didn't want to use them for work! But they make exceptional work boots too. I've now been farming in them for 1 month in the spring weather (in Maine) and they are so comfortable and so far are holding up very well. They stretch out so if they're a bit snug or stiff when you get them, stick with it. Knowing that now, I sometimes wonder if I should have kept the 500s, since they seem a bit more rugged. Either way, I'm super happy with these boots and I think I'm a Blundstone convert for life!

I was leery at first about these because I have difficult to fit feet and I am like the "princess and the pea" when it comes to foot pain. These boots are super comfortable. I wore them around the house the first week and then ventured outside on walks the second. They are comfortable. I have had no areas of rubbing or pain. I do wear thick socks with them, however, as that gives me the additional cushioning I need. I usually wear a 6.5W (or a 7D in New Balance running shoes) and the size 4 worked for me (I had ordered the 3.5 as well and decided they were too small).

I ordered these shoes for my Dads Birthday, they were ordered on a Sat. and arrived, as promised on Monday. I feel a lot of companies promise delivery, but Zappos, delivered. They have great customer service. I would recommend, using their service anytime! My 90yr old father, was over the moon, when he got his package. Thanks Zappos, I am again the daughter, who thinks outside the box!

Tight to get on, but fits perfectly. If it is too tight to get on, it is a size too small or more. I love mine, very lightweight and easy on your foot. The perfect boot.

I finally found the right Blundstone, thanks to Zappos and my daughter who gave me a gift certificate. I had purchased a size 7 Blundstone in black5 years ago for my size 71/2-8 (USA) foot. The fit was slightly tight but I loved the shoe so much I wore them hoping they would loosen a bit. I took advantage of the Zappos free shipping and ordered a pair in 7 1/2 walnut and when they were a bit tight ordered one in AU 8 (US9). The description of the Blundstone being an outdoor slipper also helped me, since the AU 8 felt comfortable and fit like a slipper. I am very happy with my purchase and plan to order a pair in black to replace the tight ones I have struggled with.

I purchased 1/2 size larger than I normally wear. Great fit, comfortable, no break in period. Love them!

This is one of the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever owned. Maybe one of the most comfortable pairs of footwear period. As this was my first pair of Blundstones, the only tricky part was getting the fit right. I ended up ordering both an 11 and 10.5 (I normally wear a US 12) and the 11 was the right fit. The Zappos customer service team was beyond AWESOME in getting me squared away on the shipments and return of the wrong size.

My husband loves these. He has been wanting them for a while, and I bought them for him for Christmas. It is apparent that they are extremely well made, and they are a rich deep brown color. I expect them to be highly durable. Most of my husband’s shoes are size US 10.5 with some size 11, and that’s what I ordered (corrected for Australian sizing, so a 9.5), but they were too small, so I re-ordered an Aussie size 10 and they fit perfectly. I would recommend sizing up if you are in between sizes. He loves them and has been wearing them every day. I love Zappos’ delivery, free return shipping, and returns policy -- he had his replacement shoes within two days, and thanks to Zappos’ excellent tracking and updates, I always knew exactly where my return was and when it got credited.

Love these boots. Fit true to size, but a little roomy, so you can were a thicker sock. Great quality. Light weight. Look excellent with jeans or khakis. Super fast shipping from Zappos.

I purchased these boots for my son who lives in Chicago. He absolutely loves them. I ordered his regular size they fit great with his thick wool socks.

Fit great, feel great, look great! These shoes can vary in fit from pair to pair. I own 4 pairs. It might be prudent to order 2 identical pairs in case one doesn\'t fit quite as you\'d expect.

Great boots, I have them in Black, and they look as good today as they did 3 years ago when I bought them. Sizes do vary a lot (from a shoe salesman). These are slightly snugger than my other pair, which are a size smaller.

Best boots ever! I've had 3 foot surgeries and I work at stable with 21 horses. I've very careful about the shoes/boots I wear. These are wonderful. Have heard about them for years and finally decided to get them. They felt comfortable from day 1! I LOVE them! Love the fact that I can put my custom orthodics in.

Best boots ever - Best boot ever, period. Light, comfortable. As appropriate at dinner as they are in the woods. Zappos service was excellent. Arrived next day even though I ordered standard ground delivery. Remember when ordering: Australian size 8.5 is American 9.5.

Great Boot! Stylish enough for a casual night out, and tough enough for working in the outdoors. The insert pad is a great bonus. It makes the boot feel like a glove!

Finally! It IS what it says it IS! I was apprehensive about giving these BL550s to my husband as a Christmas gift; especially after never having seen them "in person", BUT they are EVERYTHING Blundstone says they are. The insoles enclosed in the box made them even a cozier fit. I was concerned that the backs might rub on his legs and cause blisters. Didn't happen! He tells me over & over how great they feel and felt right from the beginning.

Give 'em a break - These started out feeling a little stiff in the heel, but after wearing for just an hour they had softened up and continue to soften with every wearing. They are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn and provide incredible shock absorption all day long. I look forward to putting them on in the morning; they "give back" no matter how long the day.
