I have very complicated feet that need lots of sturdy support. I buy these shoes to wear in the house and they are like slippers on my feet. With the choice of two additional insoles I can customize the fit, making the depth just right. The leather holds my orthotics in place and provides support for my arches. These shoes have saved my feet!

I have very complicated feet and wear custom orthotics for overpronation. These shoes are my indoor shoes at home. I know when I put them on that my feet will be comfortable. I wear them like slippers! Medium width is usually fine for me but with these I went with a wide width, mostly so I could wear more cushioned socks. I love the ability to customize the depth of the shoe. These shoes have saved my feet.

I have tried many brands and styles of shoes searching for the right ones and I finally found them. The Drew Flare shoes are soft but firm, comfortable and roomy. I have poor circulation in my legs and feet and these shoes are comfortable and my feet no longer hurt. I love that the shoes are firm but soft on the inside as well. I walk for my health and my Drew Flares help me accomplish my daily walking goals.

I have very bulky custom orthotics and not many brands on the market can accommodate them. The footbed is very deep and it comes with two removable insoles that allow you to adjust the depth of the footbed depending on your need. Super comfy, not nearly as “orthopedic” looking as other brands, and are definitely worth the money. I plan on buying more shoes from this brand in the future.

I was reluctant to try this model but it is the best decision I have made. Lots of support, like walking on air for me. I would definitely buy again! My knee pain is so much better. Thank you Zappos for your wonderful service.

I have problem feet which need extra support for overpronation, hammer toes and bunions. These shoes are excellent for my feet, with the bonus of having two removable insoles so I can use my orthotics and customize the fit. These shoes scream "support shoe", but I use them as house shoes so I don't mind that. I ordered up a half size thinking I would need room to accommodate my orthotics, but the shoe was too big. I ordered my regular size and the shoe fit perfectly. Thanks, Zappos!

These shoes are perfect for my complicated feet. I love that there are two layers of insoles to provide flexibility to the fit. These shoes give my overpronating feet lots of support and with my custom orthotics they are the most comfortable shoes I own. I use these shoes as my indoor shoes/slippers due to their style, but since I work from home I am happy most of the day!

Finally! It has taken me years to find shoes that were actually wide enough, comfortable to walk in and look decent. I love these shoes.

I have been wearing the Drew Flare for Years!!! I have to wear orthodics and they fit great in this shoe! I like that they come with what looks like a great cushy insole, but I have to remove that; but it also comes with a thinner pad that I leave in under my orthodic. Has a slight rocker sole too. I have arthitis in my feet and my docs really like this shoe for me!

These black athletic shoes are very sturdy and deep to hold the foot and ankle in place. Although they are a bit chunky in style, the comfort factor is wonderful! I use an AFO brace on each foot, and I could easily slide out the bottom insole and insert my braces. I went up one size in width, which gave me the roomy, comfortable feel I need. Highly recommend!

These would have finally worked for my x-wide foot. They are heavy, but who couldnt use a little extra workout for your quads. I am beside myself. No one makes a shoe for me. Problem is I need LOTS of room for my toes. These worked for that. However my right leg and foot have a problem in that it leans over around the outside of the ankle (I also overpronate). Consequently the heavy padding and high shoe on that side hits my ankle. See? Wierd, wierd feet. Dont know what to do now. Strap cigar boxes to my feet?

Very comfortable shoes. Lots of support and room. Very padded ankle collar. They are heavier than some of the more casual walking shoes, such as the Ryka Skywalker.

I was at podiatrist recently because of greatly increased foot pain. I ordered these because I wore Drew shoes for years. These are double depth so I can wear my orthotics. I stepped into these and immediately the foot pain was gone. Ordered another Drew in different style. Best orthopedic shoe I have ever had.

This sneaker is very very stable. It’s exactly what I need since I am extremely prone to rolling my ankles. I also have substantial orthotics to support my very high arches and eliminate over pronation. I feel secure in my footing while wearing these. I can see why others might say they weigh a lot, they are rather different than your typical non-supportive running shoe. It should be noted that this shoe will not prevent over pronation on its own. One needs to have proper orthotics for that (and if you have orthotics and still over pronate then you need new ones and perhaps a new podiatrist). These sneakers, and now with the correct orthotics, have given me worry free and pain free walking.

Came on time and very comfortable.

I almost kept this shoe. It has a nice glove feel. However it let my ankle pronate slightly despite my orthodics. The only one which held my ankles from pronation or suppination was the Brooks Addiction Walker.

I am very satisfied with my purchase. The drew flare is heavier than some of my sneakers but my main need of support is definitely there - better than other sneakers. I am thankful my first time experience buying on line was with Zappos and their representative Joyce. I highly recommend Zappos for their customer service and integrity. This is so rare in any company today and I was even more surprise to find it from a 'computer/on line' company. Thank you!

Best service I could ever expect. Arrived on time and I didn't have to worry about the fit because they have free returns. Of course the shoes fit. I tried three other shoe distributors and this was the finally the one that had the shoe and the size I needed.

These are the widest-cut, most comfortable casual shoes I have found. Plus, they don't look wide, so I don't feel like I'm wearing boxes on my feet.

I just don't understand why these shoes don't fit my feet. They are long enough and wide enough, my heel doesn't slip when I walk, but my big toes seem to rub against the side of the shoe when I walk. These are well made, nice looking shoes, just not the right fit for me.

I was happy to see that there was a bit of height to them because am only 5ft. They are comfortable and fit well. However, I am on my feet for 10 hours a day so I may see if I am able to fit a gel insole in.

I have been told that I have no arch. That I am walking on my tendons. My feet & ankles, not to mention my legs, HURT before the end of the day. When I first put these shoes on, I could instantly tell the difference between all the other shoes that I have now & purchased in the past. I am very fortunate that I can wear athletic shoes in the office. I will be purchasing more from this brand...hopefully I can catch a sale.

Roomy but good for my heel inserts. Normally I wear an 8 but needed 8.5 for length - lots of room in toe area.

The shoe is a lot bulkier looking than I needed it to be. So I decided to return it.
