Too stiff for me, I am having foot problems but these weren’t the answer

I wear an 8.5/9 B with orthotics. I found this shoe to be too wide in the heels, but comfortable in the mid section and toe area. The sole was too flat for me, and the shoes feel very heavy.

The Drew Flare shoe is too heavy for me. Just wearing it a short time around the house causes leg fatigue all the way up to my hip. FIT: I ordered size 9WW, and it is too wide in the heel but just the right width in the toe box. Frustrating! This shoe will fit women who need a lot of width in the heel end of the shoe. For me, the shoe is so wide in the heel area (size 9WW) that my heel slips up and down, even though the 9 is just barely long enough for me. This is a very sturdy shoe with a lot of support. It's just too heavy. Arch support is good. Drew isn't the right brand for me. In the heel area this shoe runs wider than marked. In the toe area, this shoe runs true to width. I prefer the Brooks Addiction Walker which is supportive but not so heavy... however the maximum width in the Brooks Addiction Walker is just a little bit too narrow for my very wide left foot in the toe box. My left foot is wider in the toe area than most of the widest women's shoes made, so I'm not a typical size.

I needed something wide in the toe area, this shoe is wide all over. I don’t like that it’s so loose in the back. Couldn’t find one I was looking for so these will do. Haven’t worn them yet just tried them on

I feel it was 1/2 size smaller than usual. The toe box was a little small. My orthotics fit well and it was comfortable to walk in.

Too short in length, need to order a half size larger. Wide width is barely larger than a wide regular size. Also corrects for supination, which is bad for someone with hallux rigidus because the pain is on the big toe. That will be great for some people. Also has a ver rigid but padded insole.

Shoe fit fine for my super wide feet...have bunions. However came up too high against my ankles. Felt quite uncomfortable while walking.

These felt like cement overshoes. They were so stiff that they hurt the tender skin around my ankles at the slightest motion. And hideous!

I needed a shoe that I could wear with an orthotic but this shoe looked huge on my foot. I would not wear anything that look so unflattering on my foot.

I want a good walking shoe. I usually wear the recommended size 9 but my toes hit the front in these sneakers. I was going to try 1/2 size up but they are out of stock in the color I want. Sending back and will keep looking.

This is just a bulkier shoe that I selected for a bit more foot space, however, it was a much heavier and bulkier shoe than I expected and therefore would like to return.

The shoe is fine- it just looks so darn Orthopedic and old lady. I’m sure its fine if you don’t care a hoot but I just couldn’t see wearing this shoe.

I have plantar fasciitis and Morton's neuroma which are making shoe shopping an ordeal. I normally wear a 7 1/2 W, but I ordered an 8 WW and was surprised when they were too small and too narrow. This seems like a quality shoe otherwise, but sizing is way off.

shoes look well made and quite soft in the lining but the area around the ankle was too bulky looking for me.

My feet are VERY wide and short, plus I have bunions, and these shoes are perfectly comfortable. BUT I have a complaint. The sole is covered in deep narrow wavy grooves, and once you step off a clean hard surface in these shoes, dirt and grit will get permanently lodged in the grooves, and you can never walk on your hardwood floors again in them. I even put the shoes through the washing machine to try to get them clean enough to wear indoors, and the grit still didn't come out of those tight little grooves. I guess I'll try a toothpick... it will take hours. Or I'll only wear them outside and always remove them when I enter the house.

Cute sneaker but I purchased a size 12 and my toe rubs at the top. I do not have this issue with other size 12s. These are cut too short for size 12. Otherwise comfortable

These shoes have good arch support, but the width of the toe area is too narrow for me. I have a high instep and the shoes squeeze my feet in the toe area. Uncomfortable.

Very heavy and klunky

I was so happy to get these shoes but after 2 months they are horrible to walk in. My toes hit the seams in toe box. It is like they have worn out. I would not recommend or purchase this again.

This is a strange-looking shoe! It is so heavily over-padded at the top in front (either side of the end of the tongue), that my feet look swollen. I've never tried on a pair of shoes with that much padding in that spot, and I don't know what on earth it would be good for anyway. Very strange. My feet are happiest wearing rocker bottom shoes, and I had high hopes for this pair of shoes. But not only are they oddly lumpy and misshapen as noted, my heels don't sit firmly in them, but rub up and down with each step. A quick return for this pair. I have a pair of the Drew Delites and love them. I needed a new pair of shoes for work and thought these looked good. Wrong! They were so clunky looking I had to force myself to try them on. They did fit well but were so heavy I knew they were not for me. Back to Zappos they went. On a positive note, thanks Zappos for the superior customer service.

I had high hopes for these, but was disappointed. I'm a fan of Drew shoes - been wearing Drew Paradise and Drew Paige for many years, but they're no longer available, so I thought I'd try these. I bought my usual size - 6W, but they were too tight in the toe box, even after removing the innersole. Also, the shoe felt weird when walking - sort of "clunky". (Sorry, I don't know how to better explain). I am a senior citizen and require a sturdy heel counter to support my back. My other Drew shoes did just that.

I have flat arches and wanted something offer more support for walking. This shoe came too high on my ankle which made them uncomfortable. I returned them.

Felt very narrow!

Top quality shoe. Luscious soles. The toe was just a bit too tight for my wide ball.
