Love these shoes. Finally found a pair that I could wear standing all day at work. I have an extra extra wide small foot. Plus I have multiple foot problems and wear orthotics. These shoes have plenty of width and depth and lots of cushioning. Very comfortable!

Although I live in Hawaii where most people run around barefoot or in slippers, I wear shoes with orthotic inserts. Unlike any other walking shoe I have, the Drew Flare accommodates the inserts so that my heel doesn't slip out when I walk. In addition, the Flare has mesh built into leather which allows the feet to stay cool even in our warm weather. I've been wearing my Drew Flares daily for about a month. My feet are never tired or sore and I walk a minimum of two miles each day. I was lucky to come across this very comfortable shoe.

Great Shoe -
The best thing about this shoe is that the foot well is deep enough that I can remove the insoles and put in my orthotics. So far this is the only tennis shoe I've found that will accommodate me. I only wish there were more shoes that my orthotics would fit in. These are in fact the ONLY shoes I can wear thus far. I am fortunate that my employer allows me to wear tennis shoes to work everyday.

Customized Fit -
The wonderful thing about Drew shoes is the ability to customize the fit. After finally getting the correct combination of insoles (including 1 with hard built in arches), these shoes are very comfortable. I have large bunions and extreme difficulty finding shoes to fit. The heel is wider than I need which causes heel slippage, but I can live with that. The Zappos return postage policy has saved my life or more appropriately, my feet.

Good Looking and comfortable, too!
The Drew Flare shoe is very comfortable and my necessary orthotic fits very well without having to remove any innersoles. My feet stay cool and dry and I plan on getting another pair in a different color.

Drew Flare – what a relief -
I have tried every brand to get comfort and this shoe did the trick. I like the fact that it has such thick levels of support so that your feet do not feel the pavement when walking. Comfort from day one! Drew will be my shoe from now on! The strings are way too long, but they send a shorter pair. True to size. Zappos is the greatest company. Fast and efficient. It’s a family thing with us now. Thanks!

Great Shoe -
The Drew Flare is surprisingly stylish and comfortable for a shoe that will hold my orthotic and a good support system for the other foot. It feels a little boxy but I guess that's to be expected. All-in-all, I am pleased and will purchase another pair in the future

WOW!
This is the best fitting shoe. I wear a wide and most wides are not wide on the sole of the foot. The Drew shoes are. It also does not look bad on the foot. Great shoe! Comfortable too. A+

Relief!
I tore ligaments in my left foot several years ago and, despite surgery, it still hurts to walk or stand for any length of time; this is a problem for an ICU nurse! I bought these to wear to work, and I have been very pleased with the support and cushioning. Plenty of room for my orthotic insert.

Overall comfort is excellent. At first they were a little stiff but after 2 days of use they are fine. Great shoes for walking at work.

Comfortable shoe!
This shoe is really comfortable and roomy inside. I've been wearing New Balance for years but they no longer make a shoe to fit my extra wide feet. This shoe easily accommodates my wide (and thick) feet as well as my custom orthotics. It's more comfortable than the New Balance shoes ever were. I'm very happy with it.

Update on Drew Flare -
A few weeks ago I reviewed this shoe. The shoe was one of the most comfortable I've ever worn, but my narrow heel slipped and so I returned the shoe. I liked the fit so much that I decided to try the shoe again, but in a 1/2 size smaller. The shoe fit my heel better, and my toes still have enough room to wiggle, however, the toe box doesn't seem quite as deep, so I wore my orthotics with the top insole only instead of with both insoles. I'm really really glad I tried this shoe in a 1/2 size smaller!

Unbelievable cushioning and comfort!
I was looking for a wide-width athletic shoe that had the most cushioning I could find. This was it because I could wear my orthotics on top of both removable insoles and still have plenty of room. The instep was high enough for me without my foot looking like a sausage stuffed into a too-tight casing. The toe box was wide enough so that I could wiggle my toes to my heart's content. It was also deep enough that my toes never touched the top of the toe box - even with both insoles and my orthotics. The only problem, and the reason I had to return them, is that my heel is narrow and kept slipping in the shoe. There were no extra lace holes the way some shoes have so that you can lace the shoes to keep your heels from slipping, and even if there had been, I'm not sure I could've laced them tight enough to compensate for the width of the shoe's heel. I think this shoe might be an orthopedic shoe, but it doesn't look like it. The shoe looks a little dowdy, not flashy or stylish, but that's a small price to pay for the comfort it offers.
I'd also recommend:
New Balance, and the occasional shoe in Saucony, Adidas, and Keen.

Nice and wide and true to size -
I've been a New Balance fan for years, but their shoes are getting smaller so I tried this brand. It is nice and wide (2E) in the toe bed, but not sloppy in the heel. I'm very pleased.

Shoe had a true fit and moderate arch support (I have a high arch and need more than this shoe offered). Also noticed that the top of the shoe cut into my foot - where the tongue meets the tied laces. This would probably work better for a narrower foot.

I usually buy New Balance shoes because of their width, but I decided to try the Drew Flares after reading the reviews on them. They fit decent when I got them, but definitely not as comfortable as previous NB's that I have had. They did not last any time, before my feet started hurting and the shoe started breaking down. I will not buy these again.

I wanted to like these shoes because the roomy toe box and extra depth are great. Sadly, I could not keep them because the tongue has a harsher leather material that pushes into my inner ankles. I often have swollen ankles so maybe this shoe isn't good for people with edema/swollen ankles. While I wore this shoe I kept having pain in my heels and left big toe. I'm going to try the Saucony Shadow 6000 and the New Balance 576, which I've heard very good things about through therunningadvisor.com which helps you decide what kind of feet you have. When you click on a link on that site it will take you to Zappos.com to the appropriate running shoes for your foot type.

I bought these shoes for my mother. She loves them. She was very impressed with the look of the shoes. We were having problems finding a shoe wide enough for her. My brother bought her as the doctor recommended a larger size shoe to help with the width. That was a real big problem for me. She fell a couple of times and knew I had to do something about it. I know Zappos carries extra wide shoes. Did a little research and read some of the reivews. Seems other people also have the same problem. Thanks Zappos you saved the day. I will be buying other styles for her.

These are now my favorite sneakers. Lots of support and thick cushioning sole. I ordered 3 different options (2 from Zappos and 1 from Amazon) and these were the winners. The other two options (Brooks and New Balance) were returned. I need strong arch support and great width and good lateral support. These give all that in my amateur opinion. These feel like they might last longer than my last sneakers. I guess time will tell! We'll see how long they last!

These are fantastic shoes. I have wide feet, and wear wide orthotics, and also have a bunion on my right foot, and have bad pain in my metatarsals. These shoes accommodate all that with room to spare, and take away the metatarsal pain. I wear a 9.5 WW and they fit perfectly. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever found. I just hope that Zappos can get them back in stock in all sizes. Previously I couldn't walk more than 1/4 mile without pain in my metatarsals, but I can walk and walk in these without pain. I am so happy to have found them.

Great shoes!! Really thought that they may be "clunky" with all of the orthoditics in them, instead they proved to be just "regular" tennis shoes in looks but what a help for my feet!! I have one bad ankle from an accident--that turns into two bad ankles with one compensating for the other and these shoes soften the walking that I must do. I have small, wide feet with a high arch and these tennis shoes have been worn from the day I received them.

These are fantastic! After searching, buying and returning several pairs of shoes to fit my feet that have developed heel pain and bouts of swelling, I think I have found the perfect shoe. I put them on this morning and didn't put in the NB insoles; wore them to work. The test for them was from walking about the mile from the parking lot to my office. While past days the heel begins to pain/ache before I get to my office, today, wearing the Flare, no pain and no ache and no swelling during the day at all! I found the insoles that came in the Flare enough and kept my foot feeling fine all day long. But when I took them off, the pain began in the heel. Now, is there a way I can get another pair of the insoles that are in the Flare to use in my house slippers? And needless to say, the Zappos service was excellent again in getting these shoes to me fast and without any problem at all.
