If you skate, I highly recommend Lakai. They're one of the only skate shoes still made in America and the consistent quality shows. Seamless toe makes for long lasting suede (or textile) and rubber ollie barrier takes weeks to wear down.

Zappos is number one when comes to online buying. I live in small town so shoes are limited in stores such as colors brands sales. I purchased the lemon sneakers love the color. I'm not a skater but love the many colors that the shoes come in.Zappos has so many choices that I don't have too waste my time in local mall or burn gas and end up returning home empty handed or buy something I didn't really want because store didn't carry what I was searching for. Thanks Zappos always satisfied customer here. Rock on!

Very nice shoe. Great look! First time buying this brand, would buy again. As with most skate shoes, will need some breaking in.

Great shoes, super comfortable! Unfortunately I live in New England so it hasn't been nice enough to actually skate with them yet but from the other reviews I read, I was a fool not to buy two pairs because of how good they are. Oh yeah, and Zappos got them to me in like 48 hours with free shipping. Zappos, you are my favorite.

Very comfortable and stylish shoe. Flexible, but still a good stiff sole. Clean looking shoe, and the white logo really pops off the deep blue.

I've never ordered from Zappos myself, but I've never heard a bad thing about them. As for the shoes, I love them. They break in so easily and are quite durable (I used to skate, but not so much anymore, there aren't too many spots around here) but I usually go through a pair of shoes about every other month or so. The last pair of these I bought have lasted me about six months and that's through building vendor's mall and going on hundreds of trips to place A/C units. So these are a definite buy and I'm going to cut this short so I can order my new pair.

Awesome shoe, I was worried they would be tacky with the glowing in the dark thing, but only the lace holes glow, and not very much. The sides are not sequins as one of my friends thought when he looked at it, and they look much better with the black laces they come with. Just thought I'd clear some stuff up about reservations I had before I bought them. Oh, one other thing they are a little bit shallow, it might be hard to get into them at first.

Lakai shoes are my son's favorites so we knew what we were getting when we ordered. Once they are worn in they are like slippers to him and he never takes them off. I had to plead with him to throw the old ones out after they bacame worn and the sole became detached. FYI I love to order from zappos because everything arrives so quickly and it is hassle free. I always look forward to their humorous emails telling me when to expect their delivery. Must be fun to work there!

My son was surprised when he opened up his box of Lakai Manchester Shoes! He loves them and was so happy that I found them for him.

These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. Felt true to size and even had a little arch support, which you don't always find in skate-style shoes. These are my first pair of Lakai shoes, but they won't be my last. Oh, and Zappos, they have fantastic customer service.

My third pair of Manchester Selects from Zappos and they're good as ever. People think they're brand new and I've been wearing them for 6 months!

These sneakers are so freaking cool. Their bright, vivid color refreshes me deeply. It's hard to have a blah day when you wear these. Now, to more mundane aspects: these shoes are very snug -- not because I bought the wrong size, but because they're just highly supportive. They seem engineered for skateboarding performance and durability. Although they are on the beefy side in terms of uppers and soles, they still afford great feel and control when skating. So, to sum: if you like drab colors and a loose, light shoe, don't get these. If you want something vivid and substantial that actively grips your feet from every side, providing terrific support for all kinds of activity including skating, you will probably love these.

These are comfortable shoes to wear. I like the mesh padding feels nice on your heals without wearing socks. I would buy another pair in the near future.

I really like these shoes. I gave four stars because they aren't the pinnacle of comfort. The shoe is very well built and rigid, which translates into poor air circulation. But it's no big deal. I expect them to loosen with time, and I've already gotten several compliments.

These are a great style, they feel awesome and they break in very nicely. Once you get the lace tightness perfect and break them in they will never slip off even a smidge. They usually last well over a year as long as you do not drag your feet at all.

Shoes fit true to size. They're not quite as comfortable as my Vans are, but just a notch below. Good shoes and they have a removable insert so you can put more arch support in there if needed. This is my first pair of Lakai's and I would buy another pair later.

If you plan on skating the Manchester selects, only get the ones that don't have the stitch-on lakai symbol. some color-ways have the banana-peel lakai symbol that requires instant shoe-goo ing. if you get the ones that just have an embroidery on the side, they do great. even if you get that peel off lakai symbol, they are good shoes. they skate well after a little breaking in and they last long enough for the sale price.

Well, I skateboard a lot. I've been skateboarding for 6 years now, and these are the best shoes I’ve skated in a while. The ONLY drawback is the frilled edges where the laces are. Doing heel flips really ripped that material wide open, like really bad. The sole is really tough, almost like Vans. And the toe is really tough to wear down as well. I know there is no such thing as perfect, but these sneaks are the closest thing to it.

Runs slightly small with a low-profile toe that leaves little room for natural toe wiggle. Simple, clean design is nice but they do look like shoes meant for young boys. Tough to pull of for dudes older than high-school.

I bought a pair of these two years ago, and they are still kicking. I figured I'd pickup a new pair, but as it turns out, the new Manchester selects have taken a serious nose-dive in quality. I've worn them for a week and they already have a crack in the suede top, the bottoms of the shoes were warped, interior fabric has changed for the worse etc etc. Not impressed, and unfortunately, I bought two pairs!
