loved the look of these from the photos, and really wanted them to fit. I usually wear Keens but have been disappointed in that brand the last two times I bought from them, so I'm looking for a replacement brand of comfortable, simple shoes. The Loulu is a wide shoe both in overall looks and fit. They do appear rather wide and flat. In my opinion not a good look. I have narrow feet with high arches and so comfort is my holy grail, followed closely by a desire to wear a good-looking shoe. I bought Birkenstock arch supports and insoles in hopes they would be what I needed, but the fit was still wrong. It seems like most shoes with decent arch support run wide, which is too bad. Going to try Born next.

I love the style and feel of these shoes, but they have one serious problem: The soles wear out WAY too quickly.
This shoe does not have a traditional sole. It was a thin, flexible rubber pan (for lack of a better term) that is not bonded to or reinforced by anything. An extra-thick insole rests inside the sole, taking up the space usually occupied by structure.
Combined with a soft and fast-wearing rubber, you may enjoy these shoes, but you won't enjoy them for long.
Bummer, because I love mine, otherwise.

I wanted to be really happy with these shoes, but, after using them less than 10 times, the sole of one shoe was broken in the back. I had read the reviews that said the sole lasted little, just decided to give them a chance. But I am very disappointed by the poor quality of these shoes. Definitely not worth the price. Would not pay $40. Would not recommend to anyone in any way. Patagonia needs to do something urgently to improve their shoes' soles.

I was seriously contemplating on purchasing this shoe, but after reading the reviews I have serious reservations and feel as though $140.00 can be best spent on a shoe that will last and is durable too. Nice looking though but for the price the nice looks will soon fade with the wear and tear in a few short months.
I'd also recommend:
A well built quality shoe that will endure the rigors of daily life.
