The spire is a fabulous shoe to travel with. It looks very nice with slacks and is as comfortable but oh so much more stylish than tennis shoes! Sizing is true to size and very supportive. The cushy heel and rubber sole make this an ideal pair for wet or dry weather. Once you wear these you will wish you ordered a second pair!

This is my third pair of these shoes; obviously, I am very happy with them. I have a difficult foot to fit, narrow with a very narrow heel. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable to walk in. They look great with dress pants, or can be casual also.

I normally wear size 8 and these 8's fit perfectly. Comfortable from the time I first put them on. They look good with pants and are fairly attractive--considering I purchased them for comfort.

The shoes are really comfortable once you get your foot in. Putting them on, though, requires some effort and preferably a shoe horn. The rim is tight and the heel is a bit too rigid. As a result, I wear my new shoes to work almost every day now, my feet never get tired or uncomfortable, but I think twice if I plan to visit friends and will need to take them off and put them on again. :) Oh yeah, those shoes are truly water-proof and non-slippery. They've been tested in our wet Northwest winter. They look classy, too. I will recommend them, but not to those who like to be slipping in and out of their shoes without bending over. :)

I'm a teacher and spend most of my day standing. These shoes are extremely comfortable for standing and walking, and they look nice too. I just purchased my 2nd pair! I highly recommend them.

I love these shoes. They're smart-looking while being comfortable and giving good support. They're true to size, I think - my size is 6.5 or 7 depending on the maker, and Merrell 6.5 has always fit. These fit a little snugly, but I'm assuming they'll stretch out over the years. I wear orthotics, and the arch support is adequate.

I have the shoes on now and they are comfortable and great to walk in since day one. The plus is they look good so I can wear them at work with pants.

I got these shoes for a trip to Italy after reading all the reviews. I wasn\'t disappointed. I wore them for the entire 8 day trip and many, many miles of walking on uneven and hard surfaces. My only complaint was that my feet got cold when wearing thinner socks, especially on the cold marble floors of many of the museums and churches. Of course, my feet were tired after 12+ hours of walking but didn't have any soreness or pain that night or even the next morning. Would definitely recommend to anyone that does a lot of walking or spends a lot of time on their feet. Will definitely get these shoes again once I wear these out. I did have to get a 1/2 size smaller than my normal shoe size. Merrells got such great reviews I got a pair of Moc's for my husband for the trip and he LOVED them and wears them to work now.

Most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I wish they made this style in brown.

Be warned - these shoes fit smaller than any other Merrells I’ve owned by at least half a size. (Also narrower.) In the proper size, they are very comfortable, and sleek enough to wear to work with pants on icy days when I don’t want to navigate in heels. Since I do plan to use them for traveling, the fact that I have to use a shoehorn to get them on will be a nuisance going through security. However, I’ll deal with it for the walking comfort and the not-too-athletic look.

OMG I love these shoes. They were a little tight at first. They fit very snuggly. I have been walking a mile in them at work, no need to switch to gym shoes. They are great in slick conditions. Love them!

I highly recommend these shoes; I bought them a year ago and was just contemplating buying a second pair to keep on hand (although my first pair shows no signs of wear). I wear them in the rain and light snow and they keep my feet warm and dry in the Chicago winter. They are also comfortable and offer good arch support. Because they have a snug fit around the top of the foot, I recommend using a shoehorn. The shoes are fairly basic in terms of appearance, but certainly not unattractive.

I got what I paid for. These shoes are so much better for all day comfort than any others I have tried. At first they were a pretty hard to get on, had to find a shoehorn to use. They have great stability for the foot but are very lightweight so my body is not weighed down by my shoe.

Super shoes for someone who has to be on their feet a lot and does not have good arch support. I am a Physical Therapist and am very particular about the support of a shoe. I am ordering my second pair of these shoes as after 2.5 years, I have worn my first pair out!

Great shoe. Not quite as comfortable as Merrell clogs, but still very comfortable for more of a dress shoe. Love them, and would get them again. They are snug, but I have a narrow foot, so it\'s perfect.

I just bought my 3rd pair this week! Each pair lasts about two years. I love walking and take walks during my lunch hour. These shoes lasts and lasts no matter what the abuse. They are comfortable and durable. Since they mold around your feet, it's relatively good in the rain too (keeping the water off your feet) though they will get drenched in puddles. I have really small slender feet and can fit into a size 4.5 and these shoes fit well so it can be snug for people with more well endowed feet.

These shoes fit very well. I have a narrow foot and a low arch yet these shoes are comfortable all day long and look nice with slacks. I live in a snowy and icy place and these shoes provide good footing and traction in inclement conditions.

These are wonderful, comfortable shoes. I have a problem with a tendon in my ankle and these give great stability, plus look pretty nice. I wear them all the time.

These are good working shoes. They look good with pants. I got a size 10, which are a little big on me. I put in arch supports and with bulky socks (for winter), they work out fine. I may get another pair in 9.5M for wearing with opaque black hose. These are not very pretty or dainty, but they are sturdy and walkable.

This is my second pair. I walked all over Europe with these babies and bought a second pair now for backup. They look nice and have great cushioning and arch support. They are great for traveling through airports since you can slide them right off quickly at security.

Great choice - this is a favorite cooler weather shoe. It looks stylish with pants, is somewhat protective in poor weather and totally comfortable. I have lots of foot problems and this is one of my few great choices.
