Bought these from Shoe store in NYC during 2006. They were waterproof and insulated. Same size. This time even though Zappos listed them as waterproof there is no waterproof indication on the shoe. Material banding is very tight and does not allow food to enter shoe, even sockless. Spent 5 minutes forcing the shoe on, didn't even go on with a horse shoe. Going back! So not the same as the original.

Ordered these shoes and was very disappointed. Very stiff and very difficult to get on. The elastic looking fabric around the ankle is very stiff near impossible to get my foot into the shoe. Once the shoe is on, it fits well but is again very stiff and uncomfortable. Not at all what I expected from a pair of Merrell shoes at this price. I don't recommend this shoe.

I couldn't even wedge my foot through the opening. When I finally crammed my feet in, they were too narrow. I have Merrell's that I love, and practically live in all winter for 5 years now. These seem like they are from a completely different company. I was hoping to have good waterproof walking shoes for a trip to Paris.

I was overly optimistic and believed that a reputable manufacturer would have quickly corrected the problem of separating soles on its shoes. They did not. These shoes fell apart within 4 months of office only use. Ridiculous. They may be comfortable but they fall apart after minimal use.
