Decent Shoe - I really like the look of this shoe - works great as a casual shoe or even a more casual office shoe. The back of the shoe comes a bit high on me rubbing my Achilles tendon - yikes! This makes it a non-option for a day with too much walking. I'm hoping the leather will soften become more comfortable with wear.

This is the first time I was disappointed in a Merrell. The strap across the front dug in painfully and the sole was hard and inflexible - very unlike the other similar Merrell Plaza pair I own. I'll try Merrell again - love their lined clogs! But this one "harshed my buzz", I have to say.

Looking at these shoes I am getting the impression that Merrell exclusively designs for customers with very wide and flat feet. Roomy as another reviewer put it is not descriptive enough. I really wanted to like these shoes as an alternative to the flat but fitted style that I normally wear. However, there is no comfort - absolutely no arch support. The piece of flat rubber the manufacturer provides instead of a more fitted mold is a bad joke. The back of the shoe 'massages' unpleasantly in the Achilles tendon and it is only thanks to the strap that the shoes do not fall of my feet. Just walking for half a mile hurts my feet and these shoes are supposed to provide comfort while discounting looks. Unfortunately, they are uncomfortable and the opposite of flattering. Now that I took them for a stroll of the neighborhood I am stuck with them, eBay here I come.

Squeak. Ball of foot hurt immediately. No arch support. Toe box felt narrower than pictured. I usually like Merrills and Keens. These are cushiony and cute, but I am returning.

I agonized for a long time over whether to buy these shoes. I love the look of these shoes. I am normally a big fan of Mary Janes. I have to say, though, that I am very disappointed in these shoes. They are extremely uncomfortable! The problem is the Mary Jane strap. It is too tight, and cuts into my foot. It is a shame, because otherwise, the shoe would be very comfortable. I like the footbed, it is comfortable, with good arch support. \r\n\r\nIf only the strap were adjustable elasticized, I think there would be no problem. I am just very sorry that I spent so much money on these shoes. In trying to break them in, I have put too many miles on them to return. I will probably avoid Merrell shoes in the future. Love, love, love Keen Mary Janes, and they don\'t hurt!

Probably the most uncomfortable shoe I have ever worn. The strap across was so tight that every step was painful. I have purchased Merrell before and been very happy with them, but this had to be returned.

Merrill Review - The shoes fit way too snug and gave me blisters. I have been a size 9.5 forever, so I thought a size 10 would be plenty big enough. I threw away the packing slip so I couldn't return them.

Too hard to get in and out of. Annoying button on elastic for strap area. If you are wearing socks and expect to slide your foot in, you will be disappointed. They also looked like gunboats once they were on – thanks, but no thanks, sending them back.

I loved the look of these shoes but they gave me awful blisters! Also, the arch support isn't ideal (although I have high arches).

Disappointment - I bought these cute Merrells at a local shop, told they would be good for casual walking. They seemed comfortable at the store, but I find that I can't wear them for more than two hours at a time without severe discomfort and if I walk in them anywhere, I get blisters bigger than quarters. Not recommended.

I am torn about these shoes. They look great. Have great heel cushioning. I wore these before I went to Paris and they seemed okay, but after walking in them all day they hurt so bad I had to buy new shoes because the pain was so unbearable. These shoes have absolutely no give and do not allow your feet to expand at all. Plus I think they are a bit small to size to start with. Maybe if I had bought a size up it would have been better. At least I now have a great pair of Parisian sneakers.

Cute and comfy... but OH THAT STRAP! This shoe was exactly what I was looking for: Cute, comfortable, and the shoe itself fit my swollen feet at the end of a long day's work. Unfortunately, the *strap* on the shoe did not fit. Come on now, people, this is a "comfort shoe." How can you create a comfort shoe that does not have the slightest bit of elastic give in the strap? My foot must be incredibly fat right on top, because there was a good inch between the end of the strap and the button it was supposed to reach. The shoe was so awesome I considered cutting off the strap, but that would've looked weird and I couldn't do that to hundred-dollar leather. Sadly, this fat-footed girl has to return this otherwise perfect shoe. *cries a little*

Better then I thought! I could wear these shoes all day the first day, what a surprise. I did have to take out the insole to put in my orthodics but they fit and are comfortable. After trying nearly 50 shoes these felt the best.
