The heel digs in a bit around the edges, but they are darling. Using a leather softener to try and loosen the rim of the heel. Ordered a size bigger than usual and still the heel hits me in the wrong way.

Ok - I have wide feet and although the Petunia's are comfortable they are not as comfortable as I would have expected them to be for the price. Also, I'm not sure if this is a defect but the lining in my shoes is removable and does not appear as though it is supposed to be. I like them but I don't love them.

Great comfort shoe without looking ugly like some - For vacation we were anticipating doing a lot of walking so I wanted to find a shoe that would be comfortable without looking like a comfort shoe in case I wanted to go to a slightly nicer restaurant. This shoe had the comfort I was looking for and the wedge heel really helped in giving me the height I like without feeling unstable. The only complaint I have is on the outside of my foot. The shoe is a bit stiff, but it could just be the fact that the foot is just a little bit wider than my other foot or it could be the way I walk.

Merrell Petunia - The shoe was not as comfortable as I had hoped it would be. I hear a lot of hype about Merrells and how good they are, however, I was not very impressed with their comfort level.

The first day I wore these was rough, but now they feel good. People with wide feet, like me, should note that the non-stretchy strap goes right over the widest part of the foot. The wedge heel is great because it gives you some height without making the shoe unstable.

Was a really cute style, but had to return. The size was off. The heel kept slipping out. Not really worth the price.

Not comfortable for walking a lot - These are cute, but once I wore them any distance they were not comfortable. I have several Merrell shoes and all are comfortable, except these. Very disappointed in a great brand of shoes.

These shoes have a lot of cushion, but the back of the heel is so stiff that it cuts into your ankle. They might be OK once they're worn in, but I'm not sure I can stand the pain to get to that point.

I bought these online. They looked really comfortable and I was impressed at the reviews. However, now that I have them they are one of the most uncomfortable pairs of shoes I've ever owned. After only two hours I had blisters and/or pain in almost every possible place. They are too big in the heal and too small in the toes and rubbed blisters there and all the way across my toes! I'll never wear these again!

I walk on a lot of concrete and tile floors all day and need something comfortable and a heel that won't be so noisy as I walk. This shoe is terrific is stable, comfortable, quiet. They were comfortable from the first day and look cute with slacks or skirts. Probably not dressy enough for dresses, but a good everyday work shoe.

I wanted so badly for these to work but after 5 full work days and 3 blisters later I'm returning them. The problem is I am a 7.5 wide, yet 8 is too big. If Merrell offered these in wide sizes I would have bought one in each color. I'm giving the shoes a rating of 3 because I think someone with a narrower foot than mine would like these. If I could give a rating for customer service, it would be a 10 out of 5. People are extraordinary here.

These shoes are super comfy and look nice, too. I do a lot of traveling and these are perfect for running through an air port or putting my best foot forward for a meeting. They have a cute mary jane look and look great with pants (I prefer a black stocking, too).

Cute, but not as comfortable as other Merrell's. Too wide at heel.

This shoe started out really comfortable, but got less comfortable with time. The leather stretches nicely, but the band across the front of the foot does not as it has some type of fabric backing. Now I cannot wear them.

I like the shoe, but it felt a little big when it arrived, and then, boy did it stretch even bigger after a few days of wearing it. Also, I had to replace the squishy insert because after a few summer wearings without socks it became smelly.

More casual than I thought they would be, but cute! Very comfortable; however, they seemed a bit bigger than marked, and then they also stretched quite a bit after only a short wearing. So now they are frankly too big.

I'm on a (seemingly futile) search to replace the Merrell Mary Janes I got a few years ago-- Spire Ballet, I think? They are the most comfy dress shoes ever, and look great with everything but are starting to wear through. I love the looks of the Petunia, but it's not comfortable at all. First, it's a higher heel than I would expect from a Merrell. Second, it has a hard heel rather than the squishy athletic shoe of years past. I hope they make something that looks a bit like this (the other MJs are all a bit all-terrain at the moment), but with the comfort feature.

Kept shoes because the first 2 times I wore them they felt great, and then it all changed. I am on my feet all day walking for work. My feet are low to no arch. Shoes are very important to me. I think the toe of the shoe is too narrow. By the end of the day the ball of my foot feels bruised like it has had too much pressure and no support. The design of these shoes is not good for my feet. I purchased the Merrell Orchids as well and they are great.
