I bought these from a department store, but wanted to help people out by writing a review of them here. They are very cute and are comfy to wear for shorter periods of time, but could not stand up to a full day of work on my feet. The wedge is just too high and so there was too much pressure on my toes after a few hours. Get them if you don't plan on standing for super long spans of time because otherwise they are really comfy.

Loved the look of this shoe and adore Merrell comfort, but I ordered this shoe and I am lucky to tolerate wearing it for more than an hour, way too uncomfortable for the older woman that I am, '50', might work for you younger gals used to wearing heels, but if you are a "Merrell Girl", I suspect this is not the shoe for you. They tried, but the height doesn't work for the older, flatter foot in my mind.

Highly recommended as a comfy walking shoe. I've walked up and down the inclines of San Francisco without a hitch in these shoes. Also perfect commuter shoes, since they are not as obvious as sneakers or flip-flops with a suit, and the height won't let those nice pants get dirty on the subway. Love them!

These are extremely cute and comfortable. The toe box is on the wide side, and they run about a half size too long. I typically wear a 9D, and while the width was perfect for me, the length was too long. The heel on the right shoe kept slipping. These are adorable, though, and I'm still torn between returning them and buying a heel pad insert to make them fit. So comfortable and cute.

Amazing shoes! They are so comfortable I can wear them all day, and they're dressy enough for work. With lots of walking and without wearing socks, I found one of the shoes rubbed the outside of my foot a little bit, but nothing too bad. These are well worth the price.

Perfect commute shoe - I bought these in grey suede about 6 months ago to wear on my commute into work. I have worn them almost every day - except for when I needed to wear rain boots - and I think they are very comfortable. No problems breaking into a full run trying to catch the train in these either. Since my suits are hemmed for heels these keep my pants from dragging on the dirty city street and in the subway stations. The "grip" on the soles is also great - minimal slipping on wet concrete (NYC subway stations) which I can't even say for my sneakers.

I got this pair in the black print. They are a perfect higher heel height. They are my first venture into dressier Merrells (last pair was mule type slides in 2005), and my usual go to shoe is born. They are so comfortable they feel like sneakers and I feel guilty wearing them to work! This is a shoe that has some heel, and is dressy enough to wear with long trousers, that feel like sneakers. Finally, I have something equivalent to what men get to wear to work (at least where I work)! Sizing, I usually go up 1/2 a size due to my need for a little more room so I can stretch my toes a bit. I sized up a 1/2 size on this shoe and the heel slips a tad, so I adjust how I walk a bit and I'm fine. Will buy them in another color soon!

I like these shoes very much. They're comfortable and have a little more pizzazz than the shoes I normally wear--I usually wear Merrell's sandals or clogs because I have bad feet. These shoes do not hurt my bunion and give the illusion of having a higher heel than they feel like.

These are probably the most comfortable "heels" I’ve ever had in my life and being middle-aged and a shoe-a-lohic, that is saying something! I bought these at a department store about 5 mos ago and they are perfect! So comfortable - I can wear these shoes all day long, being on my feet all day. I wear a true 9-1/2 and have a high arch and these shoes fit perfectly. And the compliments I get on them? Let’s just say that the 20-somethings in my office love them, too. Even men have complimented this shoe. My only complaint is that they haven’t done a summer-version, an open-toed version of this style. I’m a Merrell customer forever now.

I bought this shoe as I was going to a conference and needed to wear business casual and be able to stand on my feet for 8+ hours with few breaks. And these shoes fulfilled that mission great. Still not the most feminine/ladylike but I don't know how you can get that and still have the comfort, functionality that these did provide.

I live in these shoes. They are perfect for us "shorter" girls who want a little height, but don’t want to spend our days toppling around on stilts. After about the first hour of wearing them (heel felt a little weird - not bad- at first), I found them to be uber-comfortable and very attractive. The rubber soles are great, too!

The Petunia by Merrell just might be the perfect shoe. I got these beauties in grey and I'm now planing on ordering them in black as well. I am a hairstylist and spend many many hours on my feet. I need a comfortable shoe but working in the beauty industry I also want to wear fun clothes and pretty shoes. These don't hurt my feet at all and look darn cute with jeans or slacks. I just can't decide what I love more...Merrell for making the perfect shoe or Zappos for getting them to me so quickly. =)

I purchased these shoes recently (in gray) and LOVE them. I was tired of wearing sneakers all the time and was looking for something comfortable with a little height. I have walked in these shoes for hours at a time, including chasing kids, and they were very comfortable. Surprised by some comments saying they were uncomfortable. I like wearing shoes with a wedge so these didn’t bother me. Also the little detail around the strap is fine... adds some detail and doesn’t look too dressy, especially if you are wearing with casual outfit.

I am a waitress - I spend 8+ hours on my feet. I love these shoes! After the first 3+ days, you will never even have to think about your feet. I’ve forgotten they’re even there! With a little heel, you won’t track over the back of your pants and it makes your legs appear longer and slimmer. So cute, so comfortable, Love ‘em!! I just bought these shoes in brown and really love them. They are comfortable right out of the box and are really, really cute. I am a fan of Merrell shoes and in most of the sandals have had to size down to with those for a good fit with those. My usual size is 8 and after reading the reviews I went ahead and ordered 8 and they fit perfectly. I am not only happy with the shoes, but with the wonderful Zappos service. I placed my order at about 10 p.m. EST and my Petunias arrived by 6 p.m. the following day. You just can\'t ask for better than that. Many thanks to Zappos and to Merrell for some excellent shoes.

This shoe is the perfect *compromise* between style, comfort and function. My job requires that I wear a closed-toe, stable shoe in a lab setting, and I must be able to go from the lab to meetings where looking nice is important. This shoe looks great with business casual pants, jeans, etc and so it really fits the bill as my go-to work shoe. It is not the best shoe to walk around a city in all day, for example, nor is the cutest shoe ever, it is a perfect compromise!! My feet do get tired from too much walking in this shoe, but that is not what I got this shoe for. It is very comfortable for a day of walking back and forth between buildings, labs, etc with some sitting around at the desk, meetings, etc. I highly recommend this shoe.

I bought these shoes because I wanted something stylish, but I work in a warehouse setting so I needed something comfortable because I'm on my feet all day. I absolutely loved them. I can wear them all day and I'm comfortable. Usually when you have a heel of this size, on concrete floor your feet will hurt. However, I felt no pain with these shoes.
