I spend all day on my feet for work, and I've tried a lot of "comfortable", but professional looking shoes. Most have failed either in comfort when standing or comfort when walking. I've basically been living in my Merrell Plaza Bandeaus for the last 2 years, and they're holding up really well. But I wanted something with a taller heel, so I got these Petunias. They're pretty cute (maybe a little cutesy with the frill on the band), and so far they're fitting the bill. They don't rub on the heel, they offer good support and good traction, and they leave enough room in the toe for when my feet inevitably swell at the end of the day. The only small complaint is that my toes feel some pressure if I've been walking a lot, but for this heel height it's so minimal.

These are my first pair of Merrells. They were a little snug in the toe area at first, but I do have wide feet (I got medium width.) The footfall is very soft - not at all jarring. I was concerned that the wedge heel might feel kind of wobbly but it doesn't. These shoes are great - comfortable without being frumpy.

These shoes are very comfortable and required just a little break in. I always wear 9 1/2 in Merrels and have a wide foot so I needed size 10 in these. I do not wear heels so I am grateful I found a shoe with height and cushion.

I have this shoe in three colors, and I'm very pleased with its performance. It's a very comfortable walking shoe, and doesn't have the clunkiness of other shoes designed for that purpose - it's feminine. I found it to run large - I had to order it 1/2 size smaller than what I normally wear.
