I'm in love! Just got these today (ordered them last night at 11 pm!) I love them. I haven't worn them outside yet, but wore them around the house. So comfy and cute! Now I want the dark brown.

These are hands down the best winter boot with style. I have been looking for a waterproof, stylish boot that didn't have the brand name printed all over it. I have high calf muscles and I am able to tuck straight leg jeans into the boot. For a wider leg jean I roll them up a bit, either way looks very cute. It is nice to have something warm, waterproof, stylish, and comfy without looking like a winterized street walker. I love them! Also, they are made by patagonia, a reliable and eco-conscious company. Now that I know they exist, they are my go to brand. Thank you Zappos!

These boots are very warm. We've had lots of snow and some below zero temps this year already and my feet are never cold. My only criticism would be that these boots are a little tight on the ankle so are hard to get on and off. I wear a size 8.5 and returned the pair that size for a size 9. I still can't accommodate much of a sock in a size 9.

So I bought these a couple of a weeks ago (in black) and I am absolutely in love with them! I wore them a few times on cold days without socks and they kept my feet pretty warm. The top part of the shaft is slightly flared which makes tucking jeans into them a lot less of a hassle. I did start wearing socks with them as the temperature got colder. In fact today I wore them with a thick pair of hiking socks and was trekking through 15 inches of snow and my feet were perfectly insulated! It is completely waterproof and warm. The grip on the bottom is useful for areas with ice, but you still need to be cautious. I\'m normally a 6.5 and they had just enough room in them for thick socks. Definitely worth the investment, they are a little nicer looking than Uggs and much more practical.

Before you skip over my review because I'm from California, let me tell you that I bought these for a trip to Boston and NYC in December. I was sold on these by reviewers who said that they'd keep your feet warm, dry, and they are comfortable. They were all right! I wore these for a week straight, in snow and in no-snow, and they kept my feet consistently warm, but not sweaty or burning hot. They have incredible traction on the thick sole, and it cut through slush and snow like a piece of cake. They also were comfortable enough to wear as "walking shoes", as I walked in them between 10-16 hours a day! No pain, no tired feet. They are simple to slip on and they stay put, but they also come off in a simple manner as well. If I move to a cold climate such as the northeast or somewhere other than the southwest, these boots will be used often. I got them in chocolate brown and they are adorable over or under your jeans, or with tights/leggings. The only problem I had was the reviewers said they went a half size up, and so did I, but they were very big upon receipt. I exchanged them for my usual size, and they were at my front-door in less than 24 hours! Zappos' customer service is ten stars! I told them that I was leaving on a trip and not sure if I'd receive the exchange in time, so they sent it out overnight (I would imagine!) and they did not charge my card again. They kept me in good faith to return the ones that were the wrong size. Thank you Zappos for making shoe purchases so much easier, less expensive, and customer friendly/oriented. You have a customer for life!

I tried several other boots (thanks, Zappos!) for a December trip to France. I needed something warm, waterproof, and sturdy enough to do a lot of walking, yet didn\'t want to look too \'snow boot-ish\' while in cities. I added an insole to give a little more arch support, which also took up the extra space that made the boot feel extra roomy at first. I can attest to the waterproofing as I slogged through several hours of steady rain with no wet feet. I do have perpetually cold feet, so the insulation was great while walking in 30-40 degree temps and indoors. The only time my feet overheated was while hiking hard up a hill, so that wasn\'t unexpected. I like a firm sole, as my back gets sore with soles that are too soft, and these did the trick without being too rigid (I live in Dansko clogs). The upper will soften with a few days of wear and bends with your ankle. I wasn\'t completely in love with these at first, but after two weeks of constant wear, from the mud of Normandy to the streets of Paris, they completely won me over since my back never hurt, and my feet were happy. This winter I plan on warm feet while sitting at my desk, and while shoveling snow. I usually wear an 8 1/2 or 9, and the 9 fits with midweight wool socks.

These boots fit great, are easy to walk around in and drive with, and are not clunky in any way. I haven\'t yet worn them in snow or in serious cold weather, but even so, they will become my go-to-shoes when I\'m out and about in winter.

These are a good boot for cold weather. The shaft is too snug to easily tuck jeans into. I have a narrow foot, and they fit snugly (most boots don't). They do have a removable foot liner, so you can put custom arch supports inside.

I'm happy with my boots. They feel rugged to me. Some reviewers have called them stiff. I would agree. I got them just because they looked like they would wear well, and still clean up nice. Seems to be the case so far. We've gotten steady waves of rain every week here in Virginia this Fall. No leaks either. Very warm. The arch was less than I had hoped for, but adequate. I doubt I could get an arch support in there with my foot. The shape of the boot fits my foot well and still has a stylish curve. I appreciate the overall sturdiness of this boot. Tread seems strong, and pretty, too.

Sorry, but I cannot recommend these boots. Yes, they are very warm and the suede is wonderful; however, the footbed is terrible. It is stiff, and kind of hollow feeling, but at the same time I keep getting this feeling my foot was going to roll over and sprain my ankle. While that may seem a contradiction, the only way I can describe the stiffness is equivalent to walking with an ironing board balanced atop a tennis ball on each foot. The footbed reminds me of very cheap boot you can pick up at any low cost shoe chain. Not to mention the placement of the arch support. Again, strangely off. The arch support hit me behind my arch!? I am a green person, so I look for companies like Patagonia, but I have to at least like their products. The look is kind of cheap, too. Overall, a very weird boot.

I love my new boots. They are so comfy and very warm. They are true to size and fit just perfect. I bought a size 5. I will not need to wear thick socks with them as they are warm with thin socks. I love being able to find my size on Zappos. It is my favorite place to buy shoes! Highly recommend this boot even though it is expensive. I wanted something warm and attractive and that\'s exactly what I got!

I purchased these boots because another reviewer said they kept her feet warm while walking around town; importantly, the town was Chicago and the review was dated January 2009. I happened to have been visiting Chicago at that time and it was below 0 degrees F there actual temperature for at least a week straight, so I knew these boots had to be warm! The boots have proven to be just as warm and waterproof as I thought they would be, and they are also cute (not as bulky as Uggs or other similar boots). They do fit fairly close to the leg, so larger jean bottoms will not tuck into them very easily if that is something you are interested in.

The boots are really cute and true to size. I have a high in-step so they are pretty hard to pull on and off. I don't know if they will soften up and get easier, so I'm wearing them around the house a little to see. Warm and waterproof: what else can you ask for in Michigan winter!

These boots are awesome! I am from Southern California and moved to Colorado just over a year ago and I am terrified of the cold. I sleep with heating pad 'til June in Cali and suffer from cold hands and feet, but these boots from Patagonia kept my feet totally warm and safe in a winter storm. I had to dig my car out from a foot tall of snow and these boots rocked as I trampled through the snow! I originally tried a couple pair of boots by North Face, but they were no good. I am so glad I found these. The pictures don't do them justice. They are much more sleek and cute in person. Looks great with jeans. I love them. Super good quality and really waterproof! Money well spent, and Zappos is such a great company. I don't know how they do it. The ankle area is a bit snug, so might be hard to get your feet in for some people.

I just exchanged the brown for the black to match my new coat. In order to exchange you just have to call their 1-800 number and they will send the new pair with 1 day shipping! Exchanging saved me since they cost less when I bought them in September. I didn't have to pay extra now that they are higher. Also, I always wear a size 10 and their size 10 fit perfectly.

Great boots, had to exchange -
I loved these boots when I tried them on but was so sad they were too large. I read everyone's reviews saying to order up because they run small and unfortunately ordered up too large. I normally wear an 8 - 8.5 so I ordered the 9, but my feet were swimming. I am returning and reordering an 8.5. Unfortunately because the site does not allow for an exchange, and the price went up, I now have to pay an extra $4. Otherwise I love the boots, but didn't get to try them outside yet because I am returning them.

I just received my boots in the mail, and I love them! I usually wear a 9.5-10; however, after reading previous reviews, I decided to order an 11. I've never worn an 11, but with a pair of my thick wool socks, they fit perfectly! I would advise to order up as they are a bit narrow in the ankle, as well. Both the inside and outside are very soft, but they still feel tough like they will outperform the rain/snow/ice of the winter! I will definitely be ordering Patagonia again, and also ordering from Zappos!

Great boot!
This boot is wonderful and very well-made, I wear them every day. They're warm, waterproof, not too bulky, and stylish. I found they ran almost a size larger than marked. I went with Sporto boots last winter, and they wore out, the quality and comfort of these boots is much better than Sporto.

Runs a little narrow -
These boots look great and are very warm but I have a narrow foot and they still feel a bit snug. I can't wear more than a light weight sock with them. They also feel a little tight in the calf and I'm having trouble tucking pants into them. I'm pretty sure they will have to go back. :(

After a couple days of wear these boots became super comfortable. I wore them on a week long trip to NYC in January. With miles of walking my feet never hurt and were never cold! And they look great too!

Great Boot!
I live in Chicago and have a dog to walk. These boots are great. Very warm and completely waterproof. We have been having a brutally cold and snowy winter, these boots having really been a life saver. I ordered a 1/2 size up and they fit well.

These boots are OK for walking in the snow (no wet feet), but they are kind of stiff and hard to remove. I bought some boots for other family members, in different styles/brands, and mine were the least nice-looking and the least comfortable. No fault of Zappos though, and I will buy shoes/boots from the site again -- it was easy and fast.

So cute and warm -
These boots have satisfied my requirements for cute, super warm, and super comfortable. They have enough support to walk the dog for a few miles in the cold, too.
